AE Stanley Asphalt PavingI wish to update and revise my review dated 8/23/20. This update is based on E. Stanley's and, in particular, Joe Stanley's responsiveness and professionalism. Joe's immediate response after I posted my earlier review indicated that: (1) Joe actually read and valued the review and, (2) he was serious about protecting the company's reputation even with a "potential" customer. The next morning after my earlier review, Joe contacted me; he apologized for the inadvertent overlook of my phone call, and requested that he come out to review my project and give me a quote. I accepted his offer and subsequently selected E. Stanley for the job. My selection was based on several factors to include Joe: (1) allaying and satisfying my concerns, (2) immediately responding to my questions, (3) providing the lowest bid, and (4) being extremely polite. The excellent work was completed today, and I remain a satisfied customer. E. Stanley was recommended to me by my neighbor; I wish to pass it forward and recommend E. AEspavingThey showed up promptly for an estimate. We were originally told we could get on the schedule in a week or 2. They had a cancellation, called me, and ended up completing the work within a few days of the estimate. They arrived on time, performed all the work they said they would, all in one day. They charged exactly what they quoted. They hauled away all waste and roped off the driveway. It has now completely cured, and it is fantastic. We have only been driving on it about a week, but we see no signs of a lurking problem. Also, they were $700 less than the estimate we received from a competitor. I would absolutely hire them again. In fact, I plan to hire them to provide seal coats of the driveway every other year.- Adam N.

AH&H Paving Asphalt Specialist, Inc.If I had to choose one word to describe our experience with H&H Paving, it would be "outstanding." We could not be more pleased with our interactions with H&H, from the time Justin first provided an on-site estimate in August, to the completion of the task in September. On the appointed day, we were told to expect the crew sometime early afternoon, and that the work would take several hours. Both predictions were spot on. The crew arrived at 1:45 pm and "Domingo" promptly introduced himself. The last truck departed at 4:30 pm. During that time, the crew was exceptional in every way. From my optic, it was a well-organized, well-orchestrated process from beginning to end. The attention to detail was impressive. The way the crew worked with one another to accomplish their respective tasks, and the way in which the different phases of the process seamlessly transitioned from one to the next, were also impressive. Everyone we interacted with was truly professional and friendly. When they were finished, they did a great job cleaning up the worksite. It is always a pleasure dealing with a company that keeps its word and does stellar work.- J J.

AI called and spoke with Ben, Jr. and was able to schedule for a free quote. Our driveway was chipping asphalt in many places so it needed to be resurfaced. Ben came out explained what needed to be done and what they would do and gave me a quote. He said they would excavate 3-4 feet from the edge of the garage door in the driveway and about 1-2 feet from the end of the asphalt of the driveway to the apron of our driveway. The quote came in line with another quote I got and lower than one other. I decided to go with Ben Burris because Ben, Jr. was able to take the time to explain exactly and how they would do the job. We did have some problems with his phone with not being able to leave a voice mail but he did called me right away anyway. The day of the job, Ben called me to say that they need to get into my garage so they could excavate the 3-4 feet of asphalt from the end of the garage door down the driveway. He never mentioned that he needed access to the garage and I was at work. Luckily, I was able to get my son to come over to open the garage for him. When I got home they were wrapping up. The driveway looked beautiful and I was very pleased with the job. When they say they will put 3-4 inches of new asphalt and compressed it down, they were not kidding. My driveway got a lift. They sloped the access from the driveway to the walkway and sidewalks. Ben said that I could pull into the garage in 1-2 days and will take at least 5 days to park the SUV on it as long as we don't turn the wheels while stationary. In about a week the asphalt should have cured completely and there are no restrictions. For extra precaution, we did not park on the driveway for exactly one week. I did pull into the garage after 2 days. There was a tire mark on the driveway after one week but Ben said that it was probably due to the oil from the asphalt that made the mark from the tire and should eventually disappear or lightened as the oil from the asphalt fades away. He said he would come by to take a look and would contact me if he thought it would be a problem so that they could come out and fix it. A couple of days later, it was hard to see the tire mark so I guess it was cosmetic. I waited at least a week to write the review because we were going to get several inches of rain and I wanted to see how well the rain runs down the driveway and not puddle. After a week of rain, everything was fine. I would definitely recommend Ben Burris Paving. Thanks Ben.

ADue to the weather and current condition (still wet from rain) of driveway, we are putting the work off until early Spring 2021. We will still go with RSA paving at that time and plan on keeping our deposit with them until that time. They were very professional and kept me informed all of the time.

CThe reviews said the company was hard to contact, but the results were good. I went with them and the communication aspects were difficult. First, the company was hard to reach (months). They blamed it on office assistant. For the appraisal, the rep was very professional and seemed to understand we had narrow weather window (December) to do the work. The rep sent me an estimate and I agreed to it. The sealing was scheduled for 10 December (50 degree weather forecast for that week). I moved all our cars and cleared driveway area in preparation. When they didn't show I called them in the afternoon. The rep told me he had a tire blow out on his trailer so needed to reschedule. I told him no thank you as we would miss the weather window. He offered to come on Saturday, but we had company so I told them no. We will now wait until next Spring.
