Mr. Heard and the L.F.C. crew are a professional team. Mr. Heard is knowledgeable and experienced. He explained in detail first hand of the process in repairing our deck. We received a very reasonable and honest estimate. They are the most friendly and caring crew you would ever love working with. The crew was always on time and answered any questions we had. The deck was completed before we even realized it. The high quality of their work is outstanding. We now have a beautiful deck to show off and entertain our guest. Mr. Heard and the crew are truly perfectionist. Please don't just take my word, try them and you will also agree. We are presently making a list of other projects for Mr. Heard and the L.F.C. crew R. and V. Taylor

    Wheaton Door & Window Company
Hired Deck Wizards because of its affiliation with Wheaton Door and Window, which has been in this area since the 1940's, A business that lasts that long must be doing things right. How mistaken I was. Deck Wizards evidently uses "subcontractors" (read as whoever is standing around outside of the local paint store at 7 am on any given day) who showed up over an hour late, operating out of the trunk of their personal vehicle. Nothing on the vehicle or on their apparal (read as not even a teeshirt with "Deck Wizards" on it). One spoke minimal English; the other spoke no English. It took them all day, using handheld equipment to strip the existing covering. I expected that someone in this business would have equipment more suited to this type of work. When I asked the "leader" (so designated because he spoke some English) about the equipment. He told me they had that equipment but it was on another job. It took them until almost dark to complete the job, but to their credit, their work was excellent. The deck surface was as clean as it could possibly be. However, that was the end of any quality workmanship. The next day, they did not show up at all, nor did I get a call from them to let me know. I recalled that the "leader" had called me the day before they first came out and I had his number in my phone. I called him and he said their vehicle was broken down on I-270 many miles away from my home in Upper Marlboro, MD and in fact many miles away from their shop location. He told me they would try to get to my home soon. An hour later he called and told me it was too late to get any work done that day and that they would come to my house the next day. They did show up and got to work right away. I sat in my sunroom and watched them as is my custom when I hire contractors. My interest is to see how people do things, hoping I might learn something new. As I observed them, I realized they were painting small areas and immediately applying the "second" coat over wet paint. I thought this was worth questioning and the response was "it's OK, it's special paint." They obviously did not want to come back the next day and just barely finished their work before dark. The deck looked great at that point. As spring and summer passed cracks and peeling had already begun, certainly not attributable to heavy use. Most of the time when it is used it is only my wife and I. I contacted Deck Wizards and they said they would send an inspector out, The person they sent concluded that "this was a one coat job" and told me they would take care of it, but would not be able to do so until the following spring, which was fine with me. They never contacted me in the spring, which astounded me as I would have made this my highest priority as a business owner and been proactive about making this right in every possible way. I decided to wait and see if they would eventually contact me. Meanwhile, their work continued to deteriorate rapidly. Even the benches started cracking and peeling. I contacted them to let them know that the only thing acceptable would be a complete re-do of the entire job. The only response was to tell me they wanted to send another inspector out. Unfortunately, due to health issues and being out of town, I missed two phone calls from someone who left messages to call him to schedule an appointment. The messages were taken by my wife and left on my desk, which I discovered when I eventually got back into my usual routine. I returned this person's calls twice and got no answer. I left messages for him and have heard nothing. This situation has been going on for some time now, (Paid in advance on 9-21-15; work done spring of 2016; filed complaint in fall of 2016; repair work to be done spring of 2017; never contacted by contractor in spring; chose to wait and see if they would contact me, with no resolution and NO proactive outreach by the contractor to resolve this matter.) I told them I wanted it to be completely redone. They are only willing to "fix" the problem. And that takes it right back to a complete redo. There is now way to fix a mess like this. Given their total lack of concern I told them I wanted a refund, which they refused to do. I have also placed a review on Yelp and intend to place another with Washington Consumer's Checkbook in the next few days. I've recently discovered many very, very negative reviews about this company. This is not an isolated incident. USE THIS CONTRACTOR AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    The Deck Boss
They did a great job - at a great price - doing repairs and painting for our deck. Roger and his team didn't just do the work, they also provided advice, made recommendations, and located areas where I might have overlooked a needed repair or touch-up. So they not only did great work, I found them to be very reliable and attentive. I'll definitely go back to DeckBoss for any future needs.

Ubaldo & his crew did an excellent job. My old paint job was 11 years old, had bad water stains from some water damage, loose boards, and old caulk. These guys went above and beyond to please. They removed old caulk, scraped old chipped paint, re-caulked and painted. Ubaldo even got the screen on patio door working properly again. When I found something that wasn't to my satisfaction, they corrected it.

    Sure Shot Pressure Washing
I contacted this provider on 5/31/2016, to obtain an estimate for washing and sealing my deck and fence. An appointment was scheduled for the estimator to come on 6/1/2016 between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. The estimator never showed up nor did I receive a call prior to or during the time window that was provided. At 5:40PM, on 6/1/2016, I got a call from the scheduler(?) who informed me that the estimator just told her that he did not keep the scheuled appointment and she would like to reschedule... I declined.

Everything went wrong:  it rained, I got sick, gate locked,  even broke my land line phone.
But when they finally caught me, these guys got in there & did a simply wonderful job within a few hours. what I really appreciate is that EVERY TIME I CALLED, I GOT THEM ON THE FIRST RING - EVERYTIME.
I could not ask for any more.   i easily recommend this group anytime.
Yes, I studied the other reviews & I appreciate them.  But even though other contract-jobs did not work out perfectly (according to the reviews),  I took notice & was ready!!   But this contractor apparently can learn from their mistakes and can correct errors. That's exactly what I need.  I like a group that's willing to IMPROVE!!!!
Way to go guys!   the deck is beautiful.  Even though they left a little Thompson stain in a can, I should not need it since they  missed nothing (smile).
I'll see them again in a few years when i need another staining etc.

Provider called and texted several time about coming to give an estimate.  Person never showed up even after they rescheduled twice.  I texted them and asked if they got a chance to look at my deck and when they were sending the estimate that was promised, but never got a response.

    Sure Shot Pressure Washing

Andre Jr. and Ron showed up on time to start the work, I have to tell you that it is really hard to impress my husband and he was very pleased with the work performed by Ron and Andre Jr., I was not at home and when I arrived my husband informed me that I made an excellent choice, as I surveyed the work I was also impressed with how clean the outside of the house was and all the green yucky stuff was gone but most of all I was blown away when I saw my deck. I thought someone had rebuilt it, the deck was so clean it looked almost new. I am really glad I went with Sure Shot everyone including the person who answers the phone has been polite and professional. I will be hiring them to stain my deck and I am confident it will go well.

Thank you again.... Ron and Andre Jr.

    Leon Pro Services

The quality of work was very good in terms of power wash and deck painting technique.

The contractors Eddie and Jim were very polite and courteous.

    Problems encountered:

    1. Tardiness by 45 minutes on power wash day. On the day of deck painting, I had to hunt them down by calling the company to find out about the delay. They were suppose to come early that morning but did not show up until 1:30 that afternoon and did not finish the job until 8:30 that night.

    2. Left dirt/debris from power washing on vinyl siding. I had to use my water hose to clean up.

    3. Dripped deck paint on my patio furniture, and siding below the deck, left  plastic taped on vinyl siding of house also left tarp and tools on the deck  (Have photos to show)
