Auto Repair reviews in Upper Marlboro

I took my car to Jim Coleman Infiniti in Bethesda in December of 2018 for some minor overheating problems. They suggested $3,112 in repairs to replace Radiator, Thermostat, Camshafts, Gasket, etc. In addition, they also suggested I replace the Driveshaft because it was completely done and could "break off and potentially kill me" (for an additional $2,000). I declined replacing the Driveshaft. Approx. 1 week after I picked up the car and paid a total of $3,112.09, I experienced the same issue with overheating. This time I took the car to Nationwide Infiniti (where I bought the car brand new). After inspection, Nationwide informed me that the Radiator and Thermostat both needed replacing along with a listing of essentially all the other items that Jim Coleman had apparently "Replaced". I was fortunate that Nationwide Infiniti completed the service under warranty (no issues there). While the car was being serviced by Nationwide Infiniti I asked them for a second opinion about my Driveshaft. Turns out the Driveshaft is in good condition (NO Surprise). I called Jim Coleman and spoke with the service Technician on the RED TEAM (Devin) who I had worked with. To my amazement he was smug and seem very callous. His initial response to me was "What are you asking for from Jim Coleman". I said at a minimum I need the name of the Technician who worked on my car to find out if any service was performed at all. Devin responded that hell need to have someone higher than him call me. Days later, NO CALL. Absolutely scam artists with no regards for their customers. STAY AWAY

There were multiple issues with this place - timeliness, honesty and customer service. I called to see if I needed to schedule an appointment and was told I could just show up. I get there a couple hours later and was told the mechanic/owner(Mr. Young) left to go get parts and was asked to come back later. I came back later cause it was mid day and I didn't want to go somewhere else and have to wait. I get back and they get my car on the lift. I'm then told it's the heat shield making the noise. The mechanic doing the work said they could weld or add a screw to tighten it. But then Mr. Young comes over and says they can't weld it, didn't mention adding a screw. He then started quoting high prices $700 - $1300 to replace the heat shield. After I hesitated he said it would be okay for me to drive as is. I have a general mistrust of auto mechanics and I googled what other people have done with a lose heat shield. I mentioned what I found to see what he thought about removing the heat shield because some people have done that with no problem. Mr Young and he was like why do you come to the shop if you're going to goggle? Which let me know that he is a liar and can't be trusted. The mechanic, BJ, that worked on my car was polite and professional. The synthetic oil change was $60 which is on the high end. I really hate going to auto shops because I believe they lie and rip people off. This place was no exception.

It was sticker shock.  I found out I needed an alignment and there were a lot of things on there.  I figured if they're telling me these things need to be done, I should do it.  I think it was a little over the top.  I like that I can make an appointment online and they always do a good job on my car.  I never drove out of there and they didn't do a good job. The past owner, it's been changed, used to give you a chart and it would be yellow, green and red and they would check the things on there that they thought was either going, may need service the next time, so I was kind of aware of what was going to happen at my next check up. They don't do this anymore, so that I'm a little disappointed about, because it helped me know what I was going to get into the next time.  They just said I needed it and that was it.  They didn't say, "Oh this could be done at another time."  Usually they'll say, "Well this is going, but you can wait a little while for this."  They don't do that anymore.  I think they also could, when they make an appointment with you, that they could not make so many in that time range, so you don't have to wait so long.  You do have to wait a long time.  Although, they have a very comfortable waiting room, but you have a long wait for anything you get done there.  I think they overbook people.  It's under warranty.

Convenient hours. They don't just check the oil, they check other things. They keep me up with my car. They have a nice place to wait with coffee and wifi. Any parts I need they are already there and if I have to leave the car they offer a loaner. I'm very satisfied with them. I will absolutely continue to use them.

Their price is competitive. I'm happy with them. The time it takes to complete the work varies by what is being done. Sometimes I leave the car, sometimes I wait. I like all of the workers, I them all by name. I'm happy with them or I make them fix it.

It was a complete failure. They did not complete the work. I had to take my car back several times and they still could not finish the job. I interacted with them very negatively. They need to change their personnel.

They treat me well. I have been going to them for some time. They do work with. I take my care there. I can call them, and they say come on up. They work with me. They even give me their car, so I don't have to sit long. They let me drive it home. Very nice to me. The work took about three hours. I did come home on this one. Just maintenance on my car is what they do.

It took about 30 minutes for the work to be completed. They were professional. They give you a set time for an appointment, and then they take longer and make you wait more than a half hour sometimes. The car was nice and clean afterwards.

It was my first time to use them. Even if I ordered it online, it was going to run me about the same thing. They're friendly guys. The only thing I didn't like is they are open from Monday through Friday 9 to 5.
