  • Coverage looks good on paper, until you need to use it. They overpay for some procedures, underpay for others. If you need preapproval, they ignore the requests. When you try to get it straightened out, you get a different story from each person. If you ask to speak to a supervisor, they say they will call you back, and then never do. Saddest part of all...they are probably as good as the health insurance companies get. For this lack of competence and service, they increased their rates 20% and decreased their coverage this year.

  • First I was very pleasantly surprised at the prompt registration procedure and short waiting time. I was seen by Dr. Xu after a relatively short wait. She said that it would be necessary to drain and pack the cyst, and applied a local anesthetic. This is not a pleasant procedure, and it was painful, but less so than I expected, and as far as I could tell she did a quick and skillful job with it. She also did a good job of explaining the procedure, both before and after, and was very willing to answer questions. I was told to come back for a follow-up check in two days.
My follow-up check was on Sunday morning, and the wait was quite short. I was seen by Dr. Fox, who checked me over and asked how things had gone. By that time the healing was going well, and there were no complications.
Overall the experience was very good, in spite of the unpleasantness of the cyst itself. I would not hesitate to recommend them in any case where you cannot reach your regular MD and you do not want to cool your heels in an ER for ages because you do not have a life-threatening condition. Both of the MD's that I saw were competent and thorough, and the support staff were efficient and pleasant, and in similar circumstances I would use them again.

  • They gave me a tetanus shot, and put a band-aid on my finger.  Then billed me and my insurance for $424.  In their beautifully designed web site, they describe a beautiful story of an ER doctor who had a "vision" for "affordable" and "express" service. The only thing "Express" about them is how quickly they wanted to kick me out of their office when i went back to inquire about the bill.  Their only answer was "You would pay more at a Hospital ER".
When this office opened in our area, I was excited to have an "affordable" place for quick care, especially with our two active young children.  At the first opportunity to use them, I did.  I was very impressed with the care i received, but Incredibly disapointed at the bill.  Who would have thought that a minor cut on a finger would cost $424 at the "affortable" Doctors Express location near you?
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR SLOGAN OF "AFFORDABLE" CARE.  Do your research.  There are so many other options out there for urgent care.

  • Went very well.  Very convenient.  The xray showed a possible break, so I ended up seeing a foot specialist. Turns out it was not broken, but it was still worth going to Doctors Express first.

  • The last time I was there was when I was a patient there 23 years ago when my daughter was born.  I know that they have an excellent reputation and my family has always had a really good experience there.  That would be the only hospital that we would go to if we had a choice.  I think my husband has been in the emergency department within the last 5 years and they were very efficient, caring, and clean.  Anybody that I have known that has gone there has had a good experience.

  • They were good. The office staff were knowledgeable and discrete. They were of great help. My overall experience with them was excellent. The availability was more than excellent. When I had a problem they came in immediately even though it was a holiday. The office environment, punctuality, staff friendliness, bedside manner, communication and effectiveness of treatment are excellent. The billing and administration was well taken care of and I had no problems what so ever. I would use them again in the future if the need be.

  • They are rude there and not friendly. It seems like they have a high turnover rate of employees as well. Their computer system is awful and it constantly causes me headaches. I get over billed for prescriptions and they give inaccurate times for prescription pick ups.

  • Discharged next day, took blood work at 7am. Results not back until 1pm. Discharged at the time, but electronic papers from doctor on discharge not received until 2pm, called for wheel chair, not seen until 3:10pm. Nurse states they have a whole hospital to take care of, and you have to wait for a wheel chair upwards to 2 hours. This is ridiculous.

  • They are very responsive. Once they didn't have enough of the pills and they mailed me the rest so I didn't have to make a second trip. Also, their own brand of over-the-counter medicines are priced well and seem to be as good as the name brands.

  • It generally goes well. Occasionally, I have to wait a day while they get the medicines but, generally the prescriptions are filled accurately and promptly. You can renew over the phone and ask them to deliver.
