  • It's always best to get multiple opinions.  If I had paid $10,000 for the repair (which I didn't have) and ended up finding out that  insurance companies could have taken care of the problem completely, I would have been extremely upset and probably tried to go to court to get a full refund because I would have felt that I had been cheated which may not have been the case.  The company, as far as I'm concerned misdiagnosed my problem  and I hope it was not on purpose.

  • I contacted the provider using the Angie's list messenger during the late evening. By 9am the next day, I received a message and contacted the service provider directly. I spoke with an employee named Tara, who was courteous and professional. She worked with the time constraints I had to schedule Jay to come inspect the issue at the earliest availability.
On the day of inspection, Jay arrived within the first 15 minutes of the two hour window that was given. From the moment he arrived he went right to the issue to inspect the source of water found in the basement. He spent a solid 25-30 minutes checking all aspects of the house to figure out the water source. Eventually, he determined it was actually a plumbing issue.
Instead of seeing the water collecting on the floor and trying to convince me to use his services, Jay was honest and dedicated his time to determining whether I truly needed waterproofing or not. An honest business is hard to come by and I would definitely recommend and use his service should it ever be necessary.

  • Mr. Roland Hook is a Senior Inspector with the company, one who was punctual and professional in all areas.  He came to my residence because I have had water leaking in my living room since June; water which three other companies all have given me estimates of up to $10,000 for repairs - all outside repairs, from sump pumps, French drain systems, drywells, grass/sod, etc.  He went outside and found that on my roof, water is coming in from an area where my siding is missing.  Using a "moisture meter", he was able to state that water is coming down the walls between my home and next door into my living room. That is my problem.  The water is not coming from the areas outside that other companies have said.  I need a roofer instead of waterproofing companies and/or home improvement companies.  He has saved me thousands of dollars and for that I greatly appreciate his honesty.  The other people I have dealt with should take advice from him.

  • $49.00 coupon was purchased for an in-depth foundation inspection, crawlspace inspection, home water leakage inspection and drainage analysis used for creating a preventive water leakage plan. Plan was purchased because of water coming into home from more than one location. Spoke to Michelle Brent and Steve Washington. I was advised that company doesn't usually do this type of work on a two-level home plus wouldn't be available for weeks. I need work performed now so I requested a refund which they agreed to.

  • Prompt response to phone call.  Prompt review.  Good communication between office and inspector.  Good communication with inspector (he even gave his phone number for follow-up discussions.)  What distinguished All Aspects Waterproofing from the other company that I called was that the All Aspects inspector thoroughly analyzed the relevant room in the basement (and the adjacent outdoor area) and let me know my options.  Since the source of our water marks appeared to be historical (pre-dated re-routing of the gutters and area was bone dry during extremely wet period), we had never experienced periodic basement flooding associated with rainstorms, and other potential issues were minor and able to be isolated and addressed after some further fact-finding with the long-term resident, our actual requirements were for some small fixes, rather than a sump pump system.  As a result, we didn't require the warranted system that All Aspects provides unless we felt it necessary to obtain a "warranty" that we could show to potential home buyers.  (All Aspects isn't in the business of doing the relatively minor work that we required without installing the full system--we offered the business to them.)  Since the All Aspects' inspector was honest and thorough, we would recommend this company and trust them to identify and fix issues and install a decent system where required.  The representative that a competitor sent didn't bother to look behind the drywall or even to try and identify the actual issues--all he wanted to do was to sell us his sump pump system.

  • At this time I have not made my decision as I still have two other companies coming out with their estimates. What I did like was Rob gave me a quote of which i do not want to disclose until I have my other two estimates and that was the actual price not an estimate.

UPDATE: I just wanted to add another quality I am finding with All Aspects.  I emailed their office because I forgot to ask if permits were needed in the county where I live.  Rob called me that evening and said that yes they were.  I received another estimate from a company and the salesman said No, I do not need a permit, they would get me one if I wanted to spend the extra $500.00.  I know that the permits are not $500.00.  I happen to work for the county and knew for a fact that in Prince George's County, Maryland you do need a permit otherwise as the homeowner you could be fined.  I also wanted to clarify that when Rob came out to give me my price, he was there 3 1/2 hours but most of that was due to me and all the questions I asked.  When doing a job like this one the consumer needs to take their time and ask all the questions.  Rob never rushed me and was patient because I was asking the same questions but in different ways to see if I got the same answer and each time Rob came through.  Again I still have not made my decision but I believe it is getting easier.

  • Worldwide Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Inc. They were very respectful. It took them about three days to do the job. They're professional and courteous. The only negative was that they were short handed. But they got it together and made up for it.

  • He wrote a detailed report on his findings and made several recommendations on what needed to be done.   The rear wall on the left side of the house is bowed in.  Other walls are structurally unsound and would need to be completely rebuilt.  Horizontal cracks are traveling throughout the block walls.  The house is in very bad condition and his unbiased observation was to demolish, sell or repair/rebuild the house (which would be very costly).  We were given an estimate of the approximate cost of fixing the house.  There was no pressure for us to use their services to repair/rebuld the house.  We will have to give the recommendations serious thought.  Fortunately, no one is living there at this time.  I would definitely use the Foundation's services again!

  • It has been good so far.  The salesman was informative and engaging.  He had a crew.  For the most part, it was efficient.  He did a good cleanup job.  He gave me a warranty, so I would use him again.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.  They are not the cheapest waterproofing company.

  • We choose to get a 2nd opinion and the other company quoted us $7,850. Aquaguard was scheduled to come out and complete the work on July 29th, 2008 and we heard nothing from them. On August 6th, 2008 we wrote and sent a letter to Aquaguard about the estimate, the cost and that we would like to cancel our contract. We received a phone call from them and they stated they would have to keep our $4,000 if we decided to cancel the service. We have since received a refund of $5000.
