    B&W Home Improvements
Ben has always performed above and beyond my expectations. His solution to the deck separation was innovative and remarkable. He is my go to without exception and if it's something he thinks would be done better by someone else, doesn't hesitate to tell be so. I trust him completely. And no weren't related. He will be redoing the deck trim and railing this spring and rehanging the basement doors to correct a problem with them sagging after 20 years.

    Obrebski Brothers Windows and Doors
Very well. The men were very good at their job, and I even got a thank you note afterwards for doing business with them! The only thing that I would change, is how they handled informing me about when the doors came in. I had to call them about it when I hadn't heard anything, and the doors were in.

    Lehman Industries, LLC
Lehman Industries are a, fast and efficient, one shop stop for your renovation needs. We moved out of state and listed our house for sale. After the home inspection, we contacted Lehman Industries to address the issues in the home inspection including plumbing, electrical and carpentry. Jeremiah gave us a quote within a few days and completed the work very quickly. When there were issues with another contractor's work, Jeremiah fixed the issues within a day. Jeremiah's efforts allowed us to sell our house with no issues despite being located several time zones away. I highly recommend the Lehman Industries for all your renovation needs.

    S&K Roofing, Siding, and Windows
We just had nine Vytex Fortis 5200 Series windows installed in our 15 year old townhome. The installation was done by Steve and Gary. We were so pleased with their workmanship, capability and overall professionalism that we have just placed an order for two additional Vytex 7000 Series patio doors. This was a project that we were going to delay until next year, but were so happy with the installation results of Steve and Gary, we elected to have them finish off this project this year. We are extremely pleased with the Fortis windows and look forward to our new patio doors by the end of the year. The service we have received from the initial sales call with Mark, careful measurements by Brad, prompt & efficient scheduling by Patty, the warm office greetings by Sissy and the top notch installation by Steve and Gary have really impressed us. We are firm believers in supporting local, family owned and operated businesses whenever possible. We are so happy we chose S&K Roofing for this significant investment in our home and will readily refer any friend or neighbor to you for servicing any roofing, siding or window needs they may have.

    Renew Home Improvements
We had an absolutely horrific experience with Renew Home Improvements. Every part of the process was extremely frustrating and disappointing. The owner was friendly during our initial few meetings and was the lowest price out of multiple estimates from numerous contractors. Once the contract was signed and he was given the first check, everything started to go down hill. The owner was rude, inconsiderate, and very dishonest. The work started out very slowly with workers only working a few days out of a week and no one ever seemed to arrive until late morning, which was very frustrating. The quality of work was very disappointing as well. We got into several arguments with the owner over poor workmanship and he simply didn't care. He wouldn't even listen to what we were saying before getting argumentative and defensive. He was always quick to blame us, the client/customer, for all of his mistakes. It was the strangest thing and extremely frustrating. If you do decide to use this contractor, which we do not recommend, make sure that you have every single thing written out as a line item in the contract. I mean EVERYTHING (even the little things that are common sense). We had many conversations with the owner and made it very clear what we wanted and expected. He conveniently "forgot" entire conversations we had about things that were supposed to be a part of the contract and then told us we would have to pay extra because he didn't recall the conversation and it wasn't a "line item" in the contract. We know very well that he did it on purpose to try and get more money from us. Our home was mistreated and personal items damaged during the process as well. A door was left wide open when the workers left and then the owner didn't even apologize when we made him aware. He simply said that his subcontractor claimed they locked up. They did reimburse us for the items that were damaged, but it was still frustrating because it never should have happened in the first place. the drywall installed was sloppy, crooked, and had lots of dents/marks, etc, the paint job was sloppy, the tile work was sloppy and they installed tiles that were chipped and then tried hiding it with the grout. The only thing that was not done poorly was the installation of the carpet. We had to constantly ask for things to be corrected and the owner tried to charge us extra for their mistakes. It was absolutely ridiculous. The project wasn't finished until about 2 months after the completion date that was agreed upon in our contract. Even after we complained, they still wouldn't bother showing up until 10 a.m., sometimes later and still didn't even work 5 days out of a week. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had with a contractor. Even after it was completed, we had an issue and called him to fix it, but were completely ignored. The contract stated that he guarantees his work for 12 months, however, he has made it clear that once he got our money, we will never see him again. Bottom line, DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR.

    Peak Carpentry
Day 1 - Demo day. Nelson and his team arrived at the planned start time 9:30am despite very foul icy rainy weather. Unloaded truck of new materials and tools. Staged new materials in our kitchen after first asking. Demoed old shower. Cleared space back to the studs and down to the subfloor. Cleaned and vacuumed the space - it looked like new construction. When done they asked me and my wife to guide them as to exact placement of the two new recessed soap bottle shelf units. Also placement of safety handhold bars. We discussed height of shower surround panels and they agreed to keep the reveal space even on front edges and between panel top edges and ceiling. Sheldon and Josh are both first class contractors very courteous working quickly and neatly. Vacuumed constantly to keep dust almost negligible. Removed all demo debris. Left at 1:30pm. Day 2 - Nelson, Sheldon and Josh arrived 7:30am as promised. Today they installed the plumbing for the new shower fixtures. Also cut and added some blocking in the framing to accommodate the plumbing and the safety handholds. Tested the finished plumbing. All ok. Cleaned up meticulously vacuuming everywhere. Removed tools and all debris. Left at about 3:30pm. Day 3 - Sheldon and Josh arrived promptly at 7:30am and worked thru to mid afternoon. Installed additional blocking in the framing to handle hand hold bars and recessed shelves. Mounted the shower pan and Durock cement board. Started to measure and cut Swanstone wall panels. Cleaned up and left by 3:30pm. Day 4 - continued cutting and fitting Swanstone panels. At end of day the panels were blocked in place but not yet attached. Day 5 - Sheldon worked on Saturday to complete attaching the wall panels. With the recessed shelves and the intricate shower fixtures it was a tedious job but they did great. By the end of the day Sheldon had not only glued the panels into place, he had cut and placed several dozen pieces of temporary 2x4 blocking to hold the panels against the Durock while the adhesive set up. Day 6 - the blocking was removed since the panel adhesive was set. Sheldon next installed 2x4 horizontal blocking underneath the wide overhanging front edge of the Kohler porcelain cast iron shower pan. This provided a surface against which the ceramic base tile (to match the rest of the bathroom would be installed. Day 7 - Nelson brought in painting subcontractors to paint the ceiling over the shower area and adjacent wall sections to match the rest of the room. I had cans of original paint so the match was perfect. As a bonus they spotted a crack in a section of nearby wall at the ceiling joint. They offered to repair that and paint it and I asked them to also repair several ceiling nail pops in the hall bathroom. They quoted a super price for the repairs so I had Nelson add it to the contract price. They did excellent repairs and painting trim work. Day 8 - no work. Waiting for ceramic bullnose and base tiles to arrive. Day 9 - Nelson, Sheldon, and Andy (tile installer) arrived a bit later in morning as I had requested. Today they installed the ceramic trim tile and also grouted it. When they left in the afternoon the job was completely done. I had contracted a separate glass contractor for the frameless shower door only because I knew them from previous glass work. I am confident that Nelson would provide a first class door had I asked him to include it in the job. He uses a very good local supplier. Peak Carpentry did a great job on an intricate but complete master shower renovation. We think the finished quality is top notch and are extremely pleased. We have already asked them back to replace our home's three entry doors and also finish our unfinished basement. We will report on those two jobs when they are completed. We highly recommend Peak Carpentry for your interior remodel and renovation work.

    David Interiors
Awesome! David was the perfect man for this job!! The repairs & renovations that needed to be done required great attention to detail. Unlike a more standard basement, bathroom, kitchen upgrade where the full room is getting a makeover, this project was repairing a smaller portion of two rooms where the new work needed to meet up and blend in with the existing tile floors & walls.  Did I mention that the area is also the meeting point of a previous extension on the house with two different tile floors? This meant that David had to manage the repair work from the waterproofing as well as any inconsistencies between the original structure and the extension!
Did I also mention that David is incredibly thorough, detailed & meticulous? We had 3 other contractors scope out this project and we went with David (who was recommended by my wife?s co-worker) because he took the time to ask the questions and inspect many details that others had overlooked. His feedback during the project was awesome and he was very accommodating in his scheduling of the work.
I would recommend David to anybody and he will be the first person I call for work in the future!

The handyman arrived on time as scheduled.  He was very considerate, courteous, and meticulous.  He did a beautiful job designing and installing an access door to the main water line.  He carried out each task with thoughtfulness and skill.  Customer service representatives were also very helpful and responsive.  I am very appreciative of their service and support.  Thanks for recommending them!

    Blue Moon Glass & Mirror
I had a landscaper crack and break the glass on the door.  I contacted Blue Moon Glass immediately.  He responded immediately, came out the next day with an estimate.  We paid him and he ordered the glass right away.  He had to order the glass so as soon as it came in, they were out and had it replaced.  This was perfect in that I did not have to wait for a quote, take time out of my day to be there and my communications were all done through Angie's List.  Everything that they said had happened and went extremely smooth.  Thank you so much for the prompt service and excellent work on my door.

    Maryland Installation Services LLC
Brian has done several projects for me in the past and has always done great work. This time was no exception. The stairs and the glass doors both look amazing. He always does an incredible job for a very reasonable price. I have made Brian my Go To Guy. If you need any work done in your home I strongly suggest you give Brian at Md Installation Svcs a call. I can promise you will be very happy with the results. The price of $400.00 included the pull down aluminum stairs.
