I've went there twice. I think they're very good. They just do the oil changes and they do the job. They seem very professional and they know what they are doing. Sometimes I've had to wait but with the rotation of the tires it's probably the same as you would wait any place else. It takes time to change the oil. The last time with the rotation of the tires it might have been 2 hours. They have a seating area with a TV.

Everybody in our neighborhood has been taking their Acura and Honda to this fellow for years.  I am familiar with him and not with any other garage.  He is very honest and he knows what he is doing.  I have been using him for about five years.  He was referred to me by my neighbor.

I was very pleased as always.  I have been taking my cars to Hollenshades for around 10 years.  They are professional,  polite and efficient.  They make every effort to get your car in and out in a day. They have always communicated any repairs needed before performing them.  I would highly recommend them for any auto repair needs.

Dropped off vehicle in the morning at about 7:45am for an oil change and used their shuttle service to get a lift to work.  Vehicle was ready to be picked up as they promised by 5pm.  The one tricky part about dropping off the car and using the shuttle is that you can end up waiting for 20 minutes or more if you just miss the shuttle.  So make sure to allow for that if you plan to use their shuttle, since it is only as convenient as your timing/luck.   Otherwise they are professional and do the work as requested.

I am always in a hurry and the biggest problem with that place is that they don’t always have someone working at the counter.  So I have to wait there for long.  One time I was just ready to call in of my cell phone and then a guy came around the corner.  Other than that they are very helpful, very friendly and always have fixed my car.  The mechanical people were good and they did exactly the job.  One time they installed a shock absorber incorrectly.  It is just a mile from my house.  They were responsive and got it done in the time they said they would get it done.  They were attentive.

Avoid this dealership for service at all costs!!!I made an appointment for the routine first inspection and service a week in advance, and dropped the car (2006) off the night before. I was told at the time of the appointment the service wouldn't take more than a couple of hours. At 9:40 am I found a voice mail from the service rep asking me to call. He told me he needed my address before they could do any work. I gave him the address, and then called back at 2:44 pm to see if the car was ready. He told me they hadn't started on the car because they were really backed up, their computers were having trouble, and they were shorthanded. I couldn't believe that after 5 hours, nothing had been done, even though I made the appointment a week in advance. He told me that just because I called a week in advance, and made an early appointment, that was no guarantee that my car would be serviced on time if they got busy. Yes, you are reading this right!! That's what I was told. He told me the they would start working on the car soon. I called back at 4:19pm and was transferred to another service rep who told me the car was in the shop, and then he rambled off a long list of repairs needed to the steering and front end suspension. They still hadn't changed the oil!! I thought the stuff about the front end was suspicious, because I had just changed the original equipment tires, and they showed no signs of irregular wear, nor did the car exhibit any signs of any front end problems. No pulling, no wobble, no vibration, even at 75mph. This particular advisor got extremely arrogant and impolite, and reiterated their 'policy' of appointments are meaningless if they get busy, and why didn't I want to hear about all the other damage problems my car had? I finally told this guy I was coming to pick the car up, which I did.A thoroughly unpleasant experience. And believe me - I'm sure I'm not the only one.

They are very attentive. We've been using the same maintenance man for a long time now. They are familiar with our vehicles, and they only do work that needs to be done. I trust them greatly, and they have always done great work.

I know people who claim that Autowerkes is a decent place but I did not find that to be my experience. I feel that they are dishonest scam artists. I asked for two, relatively inexpensive proceedures and they went and claimed to find other issues with my car. They then lied about the costs of the work and also used my autorization of some additional work to go nuts and perform even more unauthorized repairs.

P***** off as I was about their running wild on my credit card I still, for some naive reason, felt that it was still legitimate work since I still trusted the judgement of the people I know who recommended them. However, after the bait-and-switch on the pricing, and the fact that after their overhaul, the coolant is still low I really have my doubts that they even performed the work that they claimed, or if they did, that it was even necessary.

From now on I will take my car to one of two shops that I know that I can trust: Autobahn in Towson 410-583-1200 or Brookman Motor Works in Timonium. 410-666-0800. I've had both of them work on this car, and other of my cars in the past, and both have done excellent work with honest service. I would have taken my car there this time except both of them were reluctant to look into the convertible top issues. I should have just bitten the bullet and taken it to the dealership. I'm pretty sure I would have received better, and cheaper, service there then I did from Autowerkes.

1.My Focus doesn't have an air filter that costs $30.00 It costs about 400 bucks and is usually replaced only by a dealer. An honest mechanic said - don't bother. What did this company want..replace it for $30
.2. Another shop forgot to put the oil cap on my car and of course oil was everywhere. I got it cleaned but obviosly not to the extent wherein it could be if professionally done. Guess what - they explain to me that the Valve cover gasket is the reason thats why the car is leaking. Trust me, there isn't one drop of oil leak on the ground!
    3. Transmission oil was changed recently by a very honest mechanic (Kims' Auto service in Fairfax). This shop tells me that the oil is dirty and they want to perform a trans flush.

I declined all the repair work.

I am not sure I trust the mechanics here. I think the service advisors do the job of explaining the repair work .

I woudl still go there for oil changes and for Tires just not for any other maintenance work.

They are the closest cheap dealer near my house. Overall, the experience was good. It was a new vehicle. I have had no problems till now except for service and repair. For service I will have to pay; but for repairs, it was all done under warranty. If it is just an oil change it costs about $25. If it is tires it is $50, and if I have more major service done it could be a couple of 100.
