    The installation went pretty smooth, they did a good job in hiding the wires and trying to make it look as clean as possible for a house that was not setup for this type of wiring. They avoided going into the attic, which made the installation much faster. I wanted the least conspicuous cameras in the front of the house due to my HOA architecture requirements, so I went with their "bullet" cameras (2) and (2) of their traditional speco tube cameras. The software for the cameras is average, I think there is better software out there from other commercial cameras, but the plus side is that there is no annual fee for accessing the live feed from speco servers. They do not encrypt their transmission, so if you don't care about "others" watching your feed, then you are good to go. The receiving box for the internal recording is pretty rudimentary, but it works, plus it has a key to get into the electrical boards and hard drive. One thing to note is that you should request to see what the entirety of the camera components will look like on your house! I was surprised when I saw a gray metal box behind the small bullet cameras outside the house, it looked like a fine camera with an ugly radioshack metal box behind it, it was obvious that it was not made together by the manufacturer. The Good News! they came back right away to change the ugly metal boxes with another two tube cameras. Customer service is awesome.

In about 6 hours total I dropped my computer off, had a damaged laptop hard drive replaced with a superior SSD, and had my computer delivered back to my house, all with seamless communication. Harold even sent off the damaged drive to be evaluated for the possibility of data recovery. The computer runs much faster now!

    I'm not sure why Frontpoint has gotten such high ratings, or maybe we've just had a particularly bad experience. It's been over 3 months and we're still not fully set up. The equipment has been a real hassle to set up and does not come with any kind of directions, so you have to call every time you need help. Many of our doors are not built for the kinds of sensors they provide, which means we have to install sensors inside the door and the equipment has broken several times in the process causing lengthy delays. There is no option to have anyone install the equipment (even though we would have been happy to pay more for this service if it was available). The panel itself is not very user friendly or intuitive. Also, in order to use the app to turn the alarm on/off when away, you have to upgrade to a more expensive plan. The plan also includes a three-year minimum. If we had know it would be this difficult, we would NEVER have gone with Frontpoint. Very dissatisfied.

    Very unhappy. When I use the camera to check on my dog the system keeps timing out and I have to keep refreshing every minute. When I ask them why, there response was "you are not supposed to just sit there and watch it". Dahhh. That is what a camera is for. I want to check on my dog to see how she is. According to them I can only take a quick glance at her. It's not designed to watch her for more than a few minutes. I should have done better research. My friend has a camera she brought on line and setup her self and she can watch her cat all day long with no timing out. The door combo had nothing but problems the first 3 months and I still do totally trust it. I was told my yearly bill was going to be $563.40 and was just charged $591.44. Would never recommend the cameras and door lock. General window and door security--was OK.

    The work done was excellent and the equipment was professionally installed on a timely manner. Joel arrived nearly a hour early and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction before leaving. He was already familiar with the system we wanted to install and within hours we had it up and running. We highly recommend Joel and his services.

    The system is fine, no problems there but when I told the ADT technician that I was stuck in this contract, he called his office and talked to somebody there, and when he hung up he told me not to worry about it which I took to mean they were going to pay off Safe Security. It was not true. Technically I am now responsible for 2 systems. They were prompt in coming when I asked them to come and change the system, and the technician seemed to be very knowledgeable and friendly, and the price is right. They left the place just fine after they were done working.

    Scheduling was good. Scheduling was easy. Having a technician arrive on time was easy. The technician was a rude gent. He was very, very kind of sarcastic when he spoke. If you ask a question, you got a sarcastic answer, that kind of fella. We had an issue with the bill I remember years back but whoever helped us was more than willing to review our bill and make sure that we won’t be overcharge. That was good. I think my wife complains that they are expensive.

    It was a pretty simple process. Bobby patiently walked me through my options and once we settled on a configuration, the equipment arrived about 5 days later.  My current sensors were compatible with Frontpoint so I didn't have a lot of setup to do.  I then called and they walked me through the install and configuration.  It's only been a couple of weeks, but I'm extremely satisfied with the service and the equipment.

    SimpliSafe Home Security
    So I purchased my SimpliSafe security system on 9/28 and it is now 10/23 and my system is still not fully operational. The install itself was pretty simple, except for one area which I?ll discuss more in a moment. Along with my security system, I also received paperwork from SimpliSafe that indicated I am required to register my alarm system with my county prior to use. On one sheet the paperwork indicated I needed to contact my county to register, and then on another sheet I was told to contact SimpliSafe to get the paperwork to register. So I decided to call SimpliSafe to get clarification. The representative told me that I needed to contact my county and get the paperwork from them. But when I contacted my county (FARS), they said that I needed to get the registration paperwork from SimpliSafe. So, I called SimpliSafe back, told them about what both the previous representative and my county had informed me of. It turned out that SimpliSafe did need to send me the registration paperwork, which I received several days later. I?m not quite sure why I got the runaround the first time I called, or why, if SimpliSafe has to provide the registration paperwork for my county, they didn?t just include that in the package with my security system. Instead, use of my system was delayed for several weeks. Also, SimpliSafe failed to inform me that I could still use my system while waiting for the registration to be finalized because counties normally offer a grace period. So I continued to pay for monitoring, even though my system wasn?t active.
    As for the install, unfortunately 2 of my 4 entries are recessed more than 2 ½ inches, and so the sensors do not work. And since the SimpliSafe representative could not offer any alternate mounting solutions for recessed doors, I am probably going to return my entire system. I know I am not the only homeowner with recessed doors, so it would have been helpful if SimpliSafe clearly advertised or provided material indicating their entry sensors would not work on these doors. It would have saved me the weeks of hassle discussed previously and money as well.
    Overall, I am not pleased with this experience and wouldn?t recommend to others.

    Update 11/2:
    Soon after posting this review, a customer service representative contacted me about my experience. He assured me that my situation was handled improperly and insisted that the response I received did not meet the company standards. He informed me that, contrary to what a previous customer rep had told me, SimpliSafe did have alternate options for recessed doors. These included very small magnets that would fit most recessed doors. Within days I received the magnets, and to my delight they worked perfectly! In addition to getting the magnets for free and because I had been paying for monitoring for a system which hadn't been fully functioning yet, they offered to cover two months of my monitoring costs.  I appreciate SimpliSafe's efforts to rectify this situation and plan to keep my equipment and service.
