    Called at 6:50 am to give me a two-hour window (scaring the heck out of me due to the early hour), then never showed up and never called to say they were running late or weren't coming. I had to chase them down via their answering service TWICE (their answering service never called me back as promised, either) and when someone finally called they were defensive and rude instead of being apologetic. I get that this is busy season, but that is no excuse for not even calling to say they were running late or might not make it at all. They said they would show up eventually, but I desire to throw money at such an unprofessional company.

    Really great work and came in more affordable than other estimate I received! I needed help with getting a gas dryer installed - specifically adding extensions to an existing gas line and the hook up. The installation company, allegedly a licensed plumber, sent by the big box appliance store not only quoted me an extremely high quote for the job but mentioned what turned out to be unnecessary work. Working with Tim Whistler Plumbing was super easy. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. I received updates via text message leading up to the appointment. Their staff showed up on time and finished the project very quickly. I would definitely use them again if I need plumbing or gas fitting help in the future!

    Steve arrived on time.  He quickly deconstructed the fireplace, cleaned the parts, checked the air and gas flow, cleaned the parts, and identified the cause of a gas smell from the gas valve.  At our request, he turned off the gas to the fireplace for the Summer.  We scheduled an appointment early in the Fall to place the new valve in the fireplace.  Steve is attempting to get the fireplace manufacturer to provide parts on warranty.  As always, Steve did a terrific job and was very pleasant to work with.  We strongly recommend Steve for all fireplace work.

    It was easy to call them on the phone and get someone to work with us.  They paid attention to the fact there was no heat in the house and they were responsive.  The reps came when expected, and were well-qualified for the work that they did.  And we are talking about Christmas Eve, when every other furnace repair place was closed. The day after Christmas they got the part and installed it.

    But, it appears that the company has quite a bit of overhead to operate as they do, because between the three trips by the techs, one for diagnosis, one to go to Baltimore to get the York furnace part ($120 on-line), and then one to install the part, the hourly fee in my estimate was somewhere between $100 and $150.  So, in this instance the repair was a bit expensive.

    Yes, I will consider employing them again for annual maintenance and perhaps to replace the York furnace, which at this writing I will warn you against buying.  The York furnace is only 5 years old, and replacing the gas control valve...which should last many more years than 5, is only one of several expensive parts that fail with York products.  If you subscribe to Consumer Reports, you will see that York furnaces fail twice as often as other brands, such as Carrier or Bryant.

    Warren came to my house and gave me a free estimate on the job. He took the time to explain how the inserts work, the best option for my home and recommended several brands that he carries. I liked that he has an extensive background in plumbing and gas. The job came in at cost. Virgil, his installer was punctual, clean and friendly. Suburban Chimney, the company that installed the chimney liners were rated highly on angies list, too. Just the fact that my dog, a very discriminating animal, took to Warren and Virgil and Tony, added to my positive feeling about going with Gas Galore. I anticipate future plumbing jobs going their way.

    I am a recent member of Angie's List and I was looking for a company  to perform  maintenance on my Gas Fireplace.. Since purchasing the home about 7 years ago I've only use the fireplace  about 3 times. After my yearly maintenance on my home furnace I learned that I needed to replace the  furnace , (they found a crack in it) and advised not to use it . I decided to use the  fireplace until I can replace with a new furnace. However , since  I had not used the fireplace  in recent years I wanted to have it checked and I came across "  Steve the Fireplace Guy" on Angie's List. I chose them over the ($99) deals after reading the great reviews from customers and  I did not regret it. This is a company  which lives up to and more of what they service. Kyle arrived on time , introduce himself and asked me  a few questions concerning my fireplace. He then went straight to work by first laying out a drop cloth in front of the fireplace and  then explaining all what he was doing. His explanation was detailed in every question that I asked and if I  didn't understand  something. I was basically impressed  with the quality and professionalism displayed . By the way I received the 5% discount and would  highly recommend them to all my friends. and will be the company I will use in the future . My  fireplace looks brand new and the warmth and glow  displayed makes me wonder why I haven't use it more. I am a very satisfied customer.

    After initial technician had completed work and left, the next day I again smelled gas near the generator. I called my regular Boyland technician (James) and he came right out and did more complete repair of gas fitting (I believe he installed a new fitting, but not sure). This solved the problem. There was no charge for the second visit. Although the initial repair was not adequate, Boyland did stand behind their work and did get the problem fixed.
    Boyland installed my generator and we have a service agreement with them. We are satisfied with the installation and maintenance they provide.

    Steve and his crew were phenomenal. I don't think there's any way I can over-emphasize how impressed I was with them. Steve is a real mom & pop operation and you get individual attention that you really don't get with big service providers. And to boot, Steve's price for the work was more than competitive-it was excellent. When Steve came over to view where I needed the gas line and gave me a quote he immediately told me that the additional gas line should not be tapped off the gas line for the gas logs and explained in detail why that shouldn't be done. Every other service provider I had out to give me a quote said they were going to tap it off the gas log-apparently oblivious to the issues Steve pointed out (issues which seemed to me, once explained, absolutely logical). So right there he demonstrated competence over and above everyone else. As a female home owner I have often worried about contractors taking advantage of me, either in shortcutting the work or overcharging me. I would advise any female homeowner to call Steve-he's honest, knowledgeable, and does excellent work. I'd also like to note that the inspector (known to be an extremely tough inspector) mentioned he knows how Steve did "great work." Steve and his crew (Sharon and Kyle) explained everything they were doing before they started and also walked me through what they did afterwards. The icing on the cake was them hauling in a wet dry vac to clean up the work site-they were so considerate! There's really no question in my mind, if I need any work on a gas line done I'm calling Steve.
