    FitnessBetter Assemblers
The experience could not be any better. It is a joy and pleasure to have someone care as much as I do about the machine's performance and operation. I have used it every day since my purchase in 2014, and it now performs as well as the first day out of the box. Fitness Better is superior to any service sent out by the manufacturer during the warranty and to the firms that serviced it after the warranty period.

    Washington Sports Clubs
I enjoyed the fitness center until a member harassed/stalked me, and the Washington Sports Clubs -- despite a police report and despite the member's prior, documented "verbally threatening" and "hostile" conduct to another person -- continue to welcome this man inside multiple Washington Sports Clubs.

    LA FITNESS
My experience has been fine because I don't use the locker rooms. The price is great and it's three blocks from where I live. The machines are fine. They could fix their machines and water fountains in a more timely fashion.

    Narasimhan, Dr. Shivani J.
I love Dr. Narasimian, her office I tolerate. I have found her warm, thoughtful, positive, and non-judgemental (huge when dealing with a disease that some doctors think is your own fault). She worked with me to get my A1C in range for pregnancy and was always helpful.
Her office staff is a bit of a mess. I once had test results that I needed over the phone and they literally would not put me in contact with the doctor to get them. I had to make an appointment. Also her silver spring location closed, so she is only in Annapolis.
I will continue to see her but if I find an office that is closer with a more helpful staff I might switch in the future.

    Maureen Passaro MD
I have been seeing her for more than 15 years. She is one of Washington D.C.’s top doctors. She is a very popular doctor so it does take a while for new patients to be scheduled. I have never had to wait long in the waiting room to be seen. She is a great listener and works with a lot of seniors. She has a great network of specialists she can recommend. She has a very professional office staff. They do their own blood work in house. They have free parking available.

    Got Your Back Total Health
We have a chiropractor that we use and it is called "Got Your Back Chiropractic", Dr. Justin Klein. He is very friendly and customer oriented. He is really a total care chiropractic. I just go in to do the adjustment. He is recommend for total health from doing exercises, nutrition and he even has yoga now which I haven't gone to, get massage It is really pretty holistic and making sure you are looking at your entire wellness. I would rate them an 'A' for everything. They moved within the floor of their building so they have got like a new office space with a larger base. I was thinking of going and trying massage therapy for myself.

    REI
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. The main reason that I like this store is the staff is very knowledgeable about outdoor gear. So much so, they can tell you about gear that REI does not sell. I will give you two examples. (1) I have a toy poodle with a collapsing trachea. I like to hike with him in my backpack. My backpack has a drawstring that sometimes causes pressure on his trachea. I went to REI hoping to find some kind of internal frame daypack that did not have a drawstring. There was not one. A sales person told me that he has seen backpacks made with a basket used by fisherman to gather fish. I researched on the Internet and found backpacks made with baskets for fruit picking. At this time, I have not purchased one, but I am thinking about it. (2) I bought battery-heated, warming socks from an Internet company. They did not keep my toes warm at all. I talked with a sales person at REI. He told me that REI does not sell this type of gear because they generally do not work. He then explained how to use chemical toe warmers in a way to get the maximum duration of heat. REI can be pricey. Nevertheless, their customer service means a lot to me. Also, the REI clothes that I have bought have held up well. I thought the sales person that fitted me with hiking boots was really good. I have had my hiking boots for several years now and they are still in good shape for hiking in the Shenandoah mountains. The boots give my high arches the support that they need.

    Equinox Bethesda
The staff are all friendly, the club is clean (very important since many clubs are not) and not crowded, so there's not a wait for equipment.  After my trial period, I signed up for a full membership, including personal training sessions.  It is not cheap, but if you are serious about working out and want access to a club that will make you feel welcome and comfortable, then Equinox is a good choice.

    Rock Creek Sports Club
I've been a member of RCSC since moving to the area several years ago. I am not much of a gym goer, but if I can find a class I like, I'll attend regularly. RCSC has a variety of classes, and I'm grateful for that. I've been attending yoga once or twice a week for the last few years, and I've also tried out several other classes from time to time. Some teachers are better than others, but that's a matter of personal preference. The gym itself is very friendly and welcoming - you are always greeted at the front desk. The facilities are nice and they seem to often be trying to improve the equipment and offerings. Lately it seems like they are trying out some different programs to see what works - I like that they put more effort into it than just providing a bunch of machines. I can't compare it to many others, but I like this gym a lot and I think it's more affordable than most.

    Washington Sports Club
Overall, I love WSC, especially this location at 19th and K.
The facility is kept relatively clean, there always seems to be fresh towels, and recently there are wipes that are very accessible in wiping down the machines.
The staff is friendly when you arrive and depart. I typically do cardio and weights, but I do go to the Tuesday evening Zumba class with Sandra (and, now added, Thursday evening too). She is so enthusiastic and everybody seems to have fun. She has a great following. There are plenty of other classes as well (cycling, boot camp, various types of yoga); the majority are in the evening.
There are plenty of cardio machines; even at it's busiest, it is very rare to have to wait for a machine. Many have a TV and there are about 20 or so stations. In a perfect world, there would be some additional space for stretching--mat space is somewhat limited.
My top priorities for a gym/fitness center are cleanliness, convenience and cost. WSC at 1990 K St. has all of these factors.
