    Brother's Waterproofing, LLC
John was very pleasant to work with. His explanations relating to the waterproofing of our basement as well as the replacement of our concrete driveway were thorough. His pricing was reasonable. He patiently handled a change that I wanted to make. His workers were qualified and efficient. Clean-up was excellent. Yes, I would very definitely recommend John & Brother's Waterproofing for this type of work as well as other home improvement needs.

    Budget Waterproofing Inc
I needed to get my crawlspace encapsulated. Budget Waterproofing undercut the 3 other firms I contacted and received quotes from by almost 50%! Their quote was much more in line with the average cost I expected to pay based on research. The install was quick and tidy, and the crew was prompt and courteous. They did a great job. Would very much recommend them!

    Value Dry Waterproofing
In July of 2018, we suffered severe flooding in our garage and basement after a torrential rainstorm. We discovered that the basement flooding was due to water seepage through our foundation up through the floor, rather than from surface water (which was the case for the garage). After we had ServPro dry out the basement and pull up the carpets, three vendors gave us estimates for mitigating the leaks and seepage. The first suggested waterproofing the foundation from the outside, which would have meant pulling up our landscaping and removing a retaining wall, a prohibitively expensive and disruptive solution. The other two, including Value Dry, recommended some versions of an interior subfloor drain and a "vapor barrier" along the base of the basement and garage. We went with Value Dry because of the confidence that the salesman, Renfred "Ren" Abutin conveyed in explaining the solution. We learned so much from him, answered all of our questions, and was well-versed about the technology used--the Why, not just the What. While their quote wasn't the cheepest, they weren't the most expensive option either. And the company exceeded our expectations. It took them two days to finish the work, and even installed an extra sump well and pump after realizing the original single-pump solution would not work for both the garage and basement because they were on two levels. ValueDry also installed a new Speed Drain for the garage and connected it to the Sump Pump. They also realized that the window well required a separate drain, which they installed at no additional cost. Six months later, the basement is great, and our garage no longer has a musty smell.

    Brother's Waterproofing, LLC
We hired Valco for a complicated project that included a full-scale waterproofing of the basement and extending a pipe from the sump pump to the street. Since this was major renovation work, it was a very stressful time for us, but John patiently walked us through the process and explained our options from beginning to end. Midway through the project, we hit an unexpected complication, but John continued to be extremely helpful in letting us know our options. Now the work is complete and we could not be happier with the results. We would absolutely hire Valco again.

    Dargo Home Improvement, LLC
Dargo did an absolutely perfect job: on time, on budget and very careful on following quality and coordinating everything with the customer. I worked with many contractors prior to Dargo, but Dargo is most reliable to me. I had to wait for a couple of months prior to signing a Contract and starting the Project since they were busy with other projects and they were totally open about their timeline, but their services are worth waiting for. After bathroom remodel several of our friends did their projects through Dargo after seeing our basement. In fact my basement now looks better than the main floor, i only wish i hired Dargo for the main floor as well. They advised us all along the way how to best remodel the bath, with size standards, best solutions, position of the sink and toilet and countertops and backsplashes. They advised us of the best way to position floor tiles in the laundry room and the kitchen. We did the design ourselves, but Dargo gave us great solutions on kitchen cabinets positioning and we proceeded that way. Very reliable, open and honest quality Contractor.

    All Aspects Waterproofing
Could not have gone better. The salesman/estimator (Angelo) was knowledgeable and really listened to all of our concerns. Angelo never failed to respond to any of our inquiries whether before or after the job was completed. The work crew did the work according to our schedule, was very quick and professional, and did an amazing cleanup for such a dirt-producing job. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to those with similar water problems.

    All Aspects Waterproofing
I am very pleased with my new sump system (which comes with a lifetime transferrable warranty!). I had suffered several floods from a previous system that could not keep up with our heavy Maryland rains. The new system was installed over a month ago, and has been keeping up just fine. They dug up the old system and laid down all new gravel and corrugated piping. They added an additional sump pump (I have 2 now), updated the basement stairwell drain (which often overflowed before), and installed drains in all 3 window wells which pipe directly to the system. The entire project was done in only 2 days, and was even started 4 days earlier than scheduled because they had an opening. The project manager walked the whole site with me before the work started to explain the process, and we found a more optimal location for the second pump. The workers did a great job of using plastic barriers to keep the dust and debris from entering the rest of the house, and they cleaned up everything after they were done. After install, we had to wait 30 days for the cement to cure and make sure there were no issues. The next step is to repair all the studs and drywall, which the workers had to cut 1' up around the entire perimeter of the basement for the project. **My contract did not include the repair of the wall, so keep that in mind when budgeting for this type of project.** I would definitely recommend All Aspects Waterproofing. From beginning to end, it was a great experience. Their representative Angelo Janouris came to do an in-home estimate, and spent a long time sitting with me and explaining the details of the process, licensing, pricing, etc.. He was available to answer my questions and offer guidance throughout the whole process, and made sure that warranty was in my hands at the end. As a first time home owner, it is nice to feel like someone is on your side. The peace of mind of having a dry basement with a full warranty was worth every penny.

    Basement Systems USA
In childrens books, the story always ends, happily ever after. Home projects do not always end that way. I contacted several companies associated with solving problems with wet basements and was confronted with the problem that each company focused only on one of the problems, but my project involved not just substantial water seepage under the front wall of a 43 year old home, accumulated mold, installation of drainage at the down spout, replacement of the moldy and worn carpeting, and replacement of original ceiling tiles in the associated rooms (utility, study). Basement Systems offered services that included all, each service was clearly documented in the contract, and each was explained noting a range of prices. There was no pressure to sign the contract so I had time to consider not only which company to choose but also which available service best met my immediate and long term needs. I hired Basement Systems and was placed on the work schedule. A week before work was scheduled, I received a complete schedule and what my role was in preparation. When I had questions, Mr. Dave Ryan, project manager immediately clarified. The work crew arrived as scheduled, removed from the immediate work area furniture, books, etc, covered all with plastic, covered the floors upstairs with plastic and initiated the project. I was onsite only the first day but had no anxiety leaving the crew. They were carefully supervised by the foreman. A bin for the construction debris was so helpful as I began discarding items from the attic as well as the shed in the backyard. I officially began downsizing. The work was scheduled for one week but completed in four days. I was quite surprised when I arrived home on the fourth day and saw all the furniture replaced and the rooms swept clean. This not yet the ending of this story. While discussing the project with the estimator, he suggested hooking up my dehumidifier to the installed sump pump system. It was definitely not in the contract I signed but an important service given my current physical limitations. A few days after completion of the project when I answered an email and survey as to my satisfaction with the work completed, I mentioned this service. Without hesitation, Mr. Ryan agreed to hook up my dehumidifier noting accurately had it been in the original contract, it would have been done. I believe I have my happily ever after ending. If things need fixing or altering, I know I can depend on Basement Systems to make it right. In my experience, this is an exceptional company with employees dedicated to providing service.

    BENNETT WATERPROOFING
After getting a few proposals from waterproofing companies, I decided to go with Bennett. James knows his business and after inspecting the problem area in the basement and outside, he provided options for me to consider. I found his pricing of the work to be similar to the other proposals solicited. He and his team were punctual, friendly and left the work area in great shape. I will certainly call him back for future projects.

    Value Dry Waterproofing
Overall, I had a very good experience with Value Dry and would recommend them / would use them again in my home. The main selling point of this company is that they warranty the drain system and sump pump for the life of the home (transferable to future owners). Most other places will warranty the drain and provide only a 2-3 year warranty on the pump. It's nice to know that if the pump has an issue in 10 years, I can call them to fix it at no cost. I had a leak in my basement (house was built in 1923) that got increasingly worse, so we needed to put a drain and pump in on one wall. The estimate appointment was at 7 PM, which was convenient. The sales pitch was a little heavy handed for me, BUT they provided a very detailed overview of the installation process, were able to adjust the scope of work down a bit to conserve costs and target the main area where we had water entry, and were able to get the work scheduled for Friday of that week (4 days out). I really appreciated the fast scheduling because the upcoming weekend weather forecast was very rainy. The crew (led by Fletcher) was extremely professional, quick, and clean. After they departed, you could barely tell that they had been there. We had a minor hiccup when the negative air system they used to keep dust out of the basement took the pilot light on my hot water heater out, but Value Dry took care of that for me. Most importantly, after a weekend of heavy rain, my basement is totally dry. I had a positive experience from start to finish, and definitely recommend them.
