    Our refrigerator wasn't cooling properly for few days. We put in a call and they responded in a very timely manner. The guy that came over to fix the issue was very professional. He took a look and explained the whole process. Within half an hour our refrigerator was working. Checked the prices on the internet and their prices were lower than the other companies.

    This experience could not have been simpler or more effective. I scheduled the appointment to inspect and repair my washer and dryer for the next day. Blake showed up about 2 minutes after the appointment window began and immediately knew what was wrong with both appliances. He recommended not doing the expensive work on the washer and repairing the dryer. He did a great job on the repair, and the price was great too. Blake also provided advice on buying appliances in the future. I would definitely use Silver Spring Appliance Service again if it was necessary to do so.

    This company is running a scam (see Yelp reports). The owner shows up, barely looks at the appliance. All he did was listen to it run for 2 seconds. Immediately tells me it can't be repaired and that I should buy a new washing machine for $1,350! He couldn't identity the model but said it would be GE. Plus, since he doesn't take credit cards, I had to pay him in advance by check. If I didn't "act now" I would have to mail a check and he wouldn't install the appliance until the check cleared. He almost won me over, until I got on my computer and started researching the cost of GE washing machines and saw that they were in the $600-$800 range. Then I called Bray & Scarf and asked them how much a GE washer would be with delivery, , installation and removal of the old one...a total of $700! I should add that, I don't even know if my appliance needs to be replaced since this guy never even opened up the machine. He had no intention of repairing it - he just wanted to sell me a new one. There are other complaints about this same scheme on Yelp. Shame on Angie's List for recommending Peaco Appliances. I refused to pay his $95 charge for showing up at my house and wasting my time.

    He was incredibly prompt. He called back immediately and asked a series of questions about the problem. He diagnosed that the dryer itself was ok, but we needed a vent cleaning. He recommended a cleaner and we did not have to pay an estimate for his diagnosis. Honest and speedy!

    I called them three times before they would answer the phone. They also have hours that are 9 to 5 and do not accommodate working people. They were going to charge me $45 if it was after 5 pm. If this is a service oriented company, then why do they not care? I will hire someone else.

    They said they only work 9 to 5 and are closed Saturday and Sunday. They did not accommodate me as a working customer and I feel like they could if they wanted to. I will not hire them and will move on to another company.

    I scheduled a service call but the tech called me back later and walked me through a simple fix! Merely swapping one knob for another did the trick. He also cautioned to always turn the knob clockwise, never counterclockwise. We have bought several appliances from them and always been very happy with the service. They go above and beyond for their customers.

    Prius knew immediately what was wrong; he had the necessary part in his truck and was able to fix the problem in one visit. We really appreciated his straight forward answers to our questions and his professional know how. We would not hesitate to hire him again.

    I don't know how much of a choice of service providers I had, since Jenn-Air's customer service office directed me to this company for our repair. But I was completely satisfied. Jerrell was punctual, professional, knowledgeable and quite pleasant. While the repair was expensive, I have no point of comparison for how competitive VIA's rates are. However, Jerrell was able to determine that the parts he needed were still under warranty, thus saving us a lot of money. Moreover, I give VIA high points for their scheduling, since they use an efficient automated system to confirm and guarantee their service professionals arrival within the narrowest possible window. I would definitely call them again -- for our Jenn-Air range or any of our appliances.

    We called after hours on a Monday and were able to get an appointment for 8:00 am Wednesday for someone to look at our refrigerator, which was running warm. Kirk arrived promptly at 8:00 am. It turned out that our refrigerator was fine, but Kirk was able to explain some things to us (and guess why it had been running warm); he did not make up a needless repair. We learned some valuable information about refrigerators and also established that we like Silver Spring Appliance, so next time we need an appliance repair, we have someone we can call. Well worth the $70 for the visit! Kirk was friendly, down-to-earth, and quite knowledgeable - it was a pleasure to meet him and work with him.
