My dog had three vaccinations and the cost was $300. It was also suggested that I should have my dog's teeth cleaned and when I asked about the cost, I was told $650! Also, a year ago, I was there to discuss my other dogs health and asked for guidance on knowing when it would be time to have her euthanized. The vet refused to answer my question and left the room. In subsequent visits, I specifically asked NOT to be seen by that vet. I understand from my neighbor, that they are no longer locally owned but are now part of a vet conglomerate.

After using this kennel for almost 11 years, we are done and searching Angie's List for a new boarding kennel. We had a reservation for overnight 12/26, the day after Christmas, having informed the employee who took our reservation some weeks ago that we would drop off our dogs during their morning hours. We were told yesterday and again today that their long-standing policy is no morning dropoff the day after a holiday. We explained this will not work as we have a large family gathering out of state that evening, and we were never informed of this policy. No budging. Upon requesting to use their posted policy of an off-hours drop-off for a $25 fee, we were told they could not do that either. When I asked if the policy does not apply to the day after a holiday, we were told it does, but they could not guarantee a space would be available at 1:00--leaving us to wonder, since they are closed for pickup at noon and don't reopen till 4:00 (the earliest they said we could drop), how they could guarantee a space at 4. We get that all businesses need to have policies, but to deny service to a long-time customer based on a policy of which the customer has not been informed, is just poor customer service.

They have an excellent team and the service is great. They take the time to try and get to the root of any issues that may arise with our dogs. Most all has been routine stuff - vaccinations, teeth cleaning, etc., but one dog has some allergy issues and they've helped us through those very well. All in all they do a great job, the only downside is their prices are much higher than our old "country vet" where we came from in Virginia. However their services are more complete (higher overhead) which helps to justify the price.

The staff saw us immediately upon our arrival ten minutes early. The preparation nurse was friendly, efficient and professional. The cats were taken one at a time to the blood lab and analysis was performed immediately. The cats were examined with tender loving care and given their shots. Dr. Stephanie Burbach was friendly, thorough, and professional, providing us with options for treatment. The following shots were administered with no apparent discomfort for the cats.
    FVRCP Kitten
    Feline Purevax for Leukemia
    Feline Purevax for Rabies
    Canary Pox
We recommend Healing Hands Animal Hospital for the treatment of adult cats without reservation.

I have been a client for 14 years. I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to write a review because I absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE. Dr. Sharon and Dr. Lisa as well as all the staff are beyond wonderful. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Dr Wygal makes pet care so much easier than going to the vets as she treats the pets at home in their own environment - no carrying the cat in it's carrier - and no trauma for the dogs to visit. They stay comfy in the house and she treats them wherever you prefer- kitchen, living room couch- wherever! The pets don't get concerned as they don't realize she is a vet, just a visitor! She responds to phone calls quickly and delivers medications as needed. I love this service and many of my friends who use her swear by her!

If anyone is looking for bedside manner, I would tell them not to bother because I think he does not even have a clue of what that might be.  He gets along fine with the animals and is very good with them; the owners however I think pose him a problem.  He is competent.

The following are just two of many examples of my over 20 year experience at this clinic: Oscar is my 20 yo feline baby. He has been a patient since a kitten and has made it through many health challenges including periodontal disease. He is now being treated for hyperthyroidism and kidney failure and is not well enough for general anesthesia needed for dental prophylaxis. I appreciate every day he remains with me. My 17 yo golden retriever, Odie, had been a patient there his entire life and survived many health challenges until he was put down several years ago. I appreciate that there are two vets that are not afraid to voice their individual opinions regarding a treatment or diagnosis even if those opinions differ. They will refer to specialists if they believe that you will go down that road cost wise and feel it will benefit the patient.

Good, the vet was very personable and knowledgeable. He said they do about 1 of these every week, either for luxating patella or ACL. Cost was very reasonable compared to many other vets which wanted as much as 3-4 times the amount that they charged.
