    GWU Medical Faculty Associates
Went terrible in that the quality of medical care was terrible,. after waiting 2 months for an appointment, and doctors office visit that provided no information of value; and then taking test of urine and blood and then refusing to send me the results. I was took go on line an retrieve teh information my self, which I was unable to successfully do. I have very expensive premium insurance and medicare and so my expenses were covered, but my medical care was 3rd world at best. I have been worried about losing my kidneys; it was nothing I did wrong, it was all a result of side effects from my cholesterol medication. I have been to good and outstanding doctors, you will not find it with this doctor of GWU faculty associates, stay away

    Aron, Dr. Barry I.
Dr. Aron gave me a series of lab and office tests and determined that I was one of those folks who had blood in my urine for no apparent reason and that no sign of disease was evident. He gave me meds to shrink my prostate to enable me to empty my bladder more completely so that I wouldn't need to urinate so frequently. He said that if the meds didn't work, he could disintegrate my prostate with a new procedure, but that hasn't been necessary. It's been a year and things are much better now. I rarely get up in the night more than once to urinate, allowing me more effective sleep. The technology in his office allows him to dispense and send out prescriptions, as well as to relay office visit information to the front desk, with the push of a couple buttons. Very efficient operation!!

He is a good doctor and we discuss things. He explains my options for my treatment. He gives me a choice and gives me the pros and cons. Another doctor recommended him. The staff is very friendly. I had forgotten certain pills and they gave me some, until I could get my prescription. He is good, he listens, and he treats me right. I am not totally cured, but I am doing better.

    Dupont, Dr. Mary C.
Made appointment, had to wait about two weeks to get in, but compared to other offices, that is nothing. Well worth the short wait. When I arrived, filled out regular new patient forms, insurance etc.  Very organized and friendly staff. Rooms and office in general is clean, pleasant, etc. No long wait until she came in, did exam, etc. was very professional and also friendly. After I got dressed again, she met me with my husband (my request) in another room to talk about how to go forward. She suggested four things to start with ... I made a follow up appointment at the time she suggested (8 weeks) to give the various things time to see how they are going. At next appt, I expect to follow up on what has happened plus look at other less pressing problems that we decided to wait til next time about... sorry about that sentence. A+ all around.

    Dupont, Dr. Mary C.
The doctor was outstanding and would be recommended. She has a great bedside manner and a great reputation. Her staff is great, mostly a staff of three. They give care that you normally do not get these days. She is redoing her office but it works out well. I wish there were more doctors like this.

    Dupont, Dr. Mary C.
I think Dr. Dupont is probably a good surgeon and knows her field, but her bedside manner is not good. She performed a cystoscopy on me without using any numbing agent, anesthesia, or even pain medications. If you read almost any place on the web about performing cystoscopies on patients with Interstitial Cystitis, it is always recommended that it be done under anesthesia for it is very painful. I laid on the table and cried, and I'm NOT a crier. She told me, "don't be a baby." I can't describe the pain I was in. She also does not believe in pain medications at all. It's absolutely inhumane. If, for some crazy reason, you want to pretend like a you're a soldier dying on the field in a war zone with no available pain relief agents available, Dr. Dupont is probably a good person to have treat you. Her bio does say that she was a doctor in several MASH units. For me, I would prefer to have some level of pain relief. I can take a lot of pain, and I have and still do; but there's a point where I just can't see any reason to be a martyr about it when help is available. She has no compassion, in my opinion. As a side note, her administrative staff is really hard to deal with to the point that they are well known to other doctors. Both my GYN and my Lyme Disease specialist tried to obtain my medical records from her. Both of their staffs told me that her office NEVER sends records when they request them. This proved to be true. Also, you cannot pay your co-pay in cash - no way, no how.

Was able to get an appointment in a fairly timely fashion. Liked Dr. McGeagh, plan on seeing him again next week.
