  • Very efficient once I was called back to the exam room. Spoke with the nurse, then x-Rays, then the doctor came in. He examined me, diagnosed the problem and gave me options for treatment. They also gave me a brace and exercises. The line for payment was long and slow but overall a good experience.

  • I have been seeing Dr. Peterson for my arthritic knees for several years. I have found him to be very easy to schedule an appointment with--as in a few days--and to always proceed with me with caring and caution. He is not a surgeon who wants to jump into surgery--he wants to do it when you actually need it. He did a total knee replacement on me--and I will have him do another--when/if the time comes. I ask a LOT of questions--he is always patient and--more importantly--practical and realistic.
He is not terrifically warm and fuzzy--but I would say he has a very good bedside manner. What I want in a doctor is someone who knows what they are doing--whom I can trust, and who will answer my questions. He doesn't like to linger with a patient--he sees many--so write down your questions before the visit--and be sure to ask him everything.

  • I had seen Dr. Rockower for a couple years for back issues and finally for a car accident after a drunk driver hit me. In my opinion, his office staff are the worst. Typically, after a long wait, Dr. Rockower will breeze in and out of appointments and barely say two words to me unless he was trying to solicit me to work with his son--it almost seemed to me like he wasnt really treating me but was merely trying to do the bare minimum to justify an office visit charge to my insurance and then shuffled me off to the physical therapists who are also part of his practice. I fired him after I requested a two page summary of my recent billing charges and his office tried to force me to pay almost $50 for it. Outrageous gouging. I absolutely do not recommend Dr. Rockower or his medical practice COR.

  • I first saw Dr. Peterson in 2008 for a shoulder, back injury. His assessment and prescription was the correct one for the injury. although it took 3 months to heal. He is thorough and patient. He treated my son for a skiing injury and foot fracture in 2010. It is easy to get an appointment. The wait time is reasonable and the staff are quite professional. I do not hesitate to refer family and friends to their practice.

  • I first went to Dr. Peterson on referral for a tendon tear and neck and shoulder pain in March 2008. He correctly diagnosed the problem and after conservative treatment with cortisone, I was able to move without pain. I was pleased with his pleasant but matter of fact manner. When my son nearly dislocated his knee skiing, in Feb. 2010 Dr. Peterson correctly diagnosed the exact tendon issue and properly immobilized the knee. In addition, my son developed foot pain in July 2010 and Dr. Peterson correctly diagnosed a stress fracture. Shady Grove Orthopedics is an excellent practice where one gets an appointment and is seen within the 20 minutes of the appointment time 90% of the time. I will continue use and recommend this practice to friends and family.

  • Dr. Lahr saw my mother at a hospital. From the beginning he was sensitive to her age and physical condition as well as to her broken elbow. He carefully explained the alternatives and the pros and cons of each and helped us come to a good decision on how to proceed. He carefully monitored her recovery and ensured that she would have the greatest possible mobility given her age and other medical issues. He was responsive and gentle.

  • It did not go well for me and I would counsel other octogenarians to go to a Doctor who doesn't belittle his elderly patients.
