  • I was extremely pleased with this Mattress Discounter.  We initially bought one mattress and box spring set which my husband loved in the store.  But when it came it did not feel the same.  (The delivery went perfectly--on time, efficient.)  Mattress Discounter gives you two weeks to try it, and if you don't like it you can return the set for another set.  Our problem was that we were going on vacation during that period so would miss the 2 week window.  The first thing the store did (Ed Levy--who I think is the manager)--was to extend our trial period for a week (until after our vacation) so we could sleep on the first set for a full two weeks.  That was a great relief to us.  So we slept on the first set for two weeks, but in the meantime went into the store several times to try out other beds.  Everyone in the store was very gracious to us and gave us all the time and assistance we needed to try the other beds.  And we were in there a lot!  Eventually, we settled on another bed.  We scheduled delivery of the second set and it went fine--on time, efficient, even though it was right after a major snow storm.  However, when we got the second set, it had a low profile box spring instead of a regular box spring.  Our invoice said low profile, but we had discussed with Mr. Levy that we wanted a regular height box spring.  We took delivery of the low profile box spring, and I called the store immediately when it opened.  Mr. Levy said no problem, he would swap out the box spring, which is scheduled for this Friday.  I could not have been happier with the service we received and the effort made to make us happy.  I would recommend this store to anyone for a low pressure but helpful mattress shopping experience.
    We did not negotiate on the price, but it was President's Day weekend, so I assume we got a fairly good price.  I also had looked at prices in the paper, and what we paid looked in line with other similar merchandise.

  • I purchased two of these mattresses in March of 2013, one full size for my wife and a queen size for me. Total cost close to $5000. We liked the firm feeling of support and expected it to be stable. This was not the case. The memory foam's memory was short lived. Within six month I rotated the queen mattress to get the support of the unused portion of the mattress. My wife, with the smaller size mattress, did not have that option and her mattress support continued to decline to the point she slept on a couch.

    Each mattress was purchased as a complete set including the SERTA foundation and recommended mattress stain protector.

    I requested reconsideration of the decision based on the fact that all materials including the stain protector were purchased from Mattress Warehouse and the inspector had no basis for determining memory foam deterioration. When asked he simply indicated use of his palm. Additionally on close inspection there is no mattress stain! Mattress Warehouse has refused a re-inspection.

    The Mattress Warehouse Warranty Department did however allow us the option of exchanging one of the SERTA ICOMFORT full foundations within 30 days but not including $70 delivery charge. I believe the unit costs around $200. So something must have been sagging.

  • Perfect! They helped me pick out the mattress. They did not pick out the most expensive one just to sell me something, I told them it was for a 5 year old and a 3 year old and they gave me a reasonable mattress and discounted on top of that. They delivered in the time frame. When I changed my mind a few days later on one of the box springs, I called them up and they redelivered free of charge the next day! Wonderful customer service.

  • The install was smooth and without any complications! Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company, but might suggest getting more than one quote from competitors. Generally speaking, it was a smooth experience!

  • We were looking for price and service to purchase and install an new bed. After visiting various mattress companies in the Rockville We went to Ikea's to look. The price and selection were great and they answered our questions.
    They show up and delivered the bed and mattress to the bedroom so I could set it up. There were no problems.

  • ..We needed a new  mattress, so we  went on line to check out what to look for in this product--and were forewarned that mattress dealers have a reputation slightly worse than  used car dealers.  So I found  this dealer due to its positive report on "Yankees List," and was impressed by the fact that it had and A--while  other dealers nearer to our house had lower grades including some Fs.  I walked in there myself and  found the salesperson very attentive--both him and his college-hire  part-time assistant.  I told them right away that I knew their game--and threw in that quip about used car dealers.  They did have a sense of humor, so we got along well.  I explained to them what we were looking for, they let me try out some mattresses  until I found one that most matched our needs.  The store had a free TV offer with a new mattress, and I told them that we already have a TV and don't need another, so he lowered the price by $300 right away--and I told him:  cut to the quick --no gimmicks--tell what your rock bottom price is--so he did.  $765 (Queen Sealy firm) --down from $1100-- and I had him  include the box springs, the frame--and he gave us a free mattress cover and charged us almost half price for delivery (since we were keeping our old mattress anyway.   Altogether it was a pleasant experience.  In the past I had found other dealers play the bate and switch game--but since I told them right off that I knew what  mattress dealers did , they did a minimum of game-playing. the delivery was a few days later.  The delivery guys were courteous and  helpful in setting up the  mattress and the frame.   No complaints really/.  Thus, an experience that I anticipated would be a trip through Sleezeville turned out to be very OK indeed, with very nice people to deal with.

  • We are very satisfied with our Tempurpedic mattress and pillows, the sales experience with Anna, and delivery. The delivery guys called before arriving, arrived on time and did not leave any marks on our newly-painted walls.

  • They messed up by walls by leaving dark scratches and indents in the walls. I spoke to the manager and he said that his workers denied the damages. I requested for them to come over and see the damages but they refused and I haven’t heard anything since.

The salesman was knowledgable and helpful, and the set was delivered the next day exactly as promised and exactly on time. The delivery people took away the old mattress to be recycled (for which we paid $15). We are very happy with the product and the service.

  • The salesperson was helpful and not pushy. She took a lot of time to explain the various promotions and quality of the mattresses. After I purchased the mattress, I found out that a friend had recently purchased the same item at a lower price. The store refunded the difference when I told them.
