    Potomac Audiology
Dr Gail Linn is an excellent, thorough, thoughtful provider. Her concern is for the satisfaction of the patient, and she takes time to explain the testing, results, and subsequent hearing aids, if required.

The Village at Rockville, A National Lutheran Comm
My mother lived at what once was the National Lutheran Home. It was taken over by a corporation about 8 years ago and has been in a horrible and steep decline ever since. My mother lived in the community for 19 1/2 years before she died a painful death. She fell in her independent living cottage on a Friday night... she had a emergency pendant around her neck. It did not work because these are supplied by TVAR and the battery had died the day before, the staff was alerted that the battery had failed and they did not replace it. The following morning the motion detector in her home had sent a message to the main building that she had not moved in over 12 hours. Again the staff failed to respond. My moms helper came Monday morning 36 hours later and found my mother on the floor. She had severe rhabdomyolysis for laying on the floor for 36 hours. She never walked again. After spending three days in the hospital she was discharged to TVAR "rehab". My sisters and I were there every day to advocate for her every day because we had to. Her fall and the serious complications caused severe dementia. She had bed sores caused by urine soaked undergarments, they broke open and bled and oozed puss. We had to mark her diapers with a black dot in a discreet location so we could check to see if the staff was changing her undergarments. We had to constantly change our times to check to see if the staff were doing there job, this included coming in late at night, early in the morning and frequently found problems. We constantly went to the senior staff and after several weeks my mother was getting a resemblance of the care an ordinary person should get. I was there one day my mothers room smelled of urine and was again sitting in soaked undergarments and after an hour of trying to get the staff to do there job I had to go to work. I talked to the staff at the front desk (both Anita and Trish are great) they gave me the direct number for the head of nursing. It took me half an hour to get a hold of her and my mother finally got the help she needed. The senior staff admitted "we know we have room to improve. That is reassuring. If you are advocating for a loved one get that phone number, I have given to others to help them getting assistance for their loved one. By the way when this community was the NLH they had a head of nursing that was there for over 20 years and this is the staff that gave this facility the ratings that the new corporation is still living off of. I have lost count of how many heads of nursing they have had recently, it seems like they last for a year or less and that says a lot. My mother died two months after her fall due to the complications of her fall. It was sadly painful to have to hand feed her, sit by her bedside and cry as she begged to use the bathroom like a normal human being. I would also like to add the CEO has a degree from The University of Phoenix and makes 800k a year in addition has a consulting firm. Would you let someone you care about get care here?

    ClearChoice Dental
This is a long review; be sure to read it all. We contacted ClearChoice in January 2017. The waiting room looked like a TV late-night infomercialand so was the pitch. Everyone was soooo nice. We were apprehensive because the bottom line, after negotiations, was over $25,000! We got another bid from a different implant surgeon; that price was higher, but competitive. If you go for Clear Choice, be sure to negotiate. We got them to lower their price by almost $5,000. I received extraction of all my teeth from the lower jaw and provided a removable denture to supplement my natural teeth on the upper jaw. We signed understanding that the procedure would be complete and that the prosthesis I would be receive would permanent. By that I mean that no further dental work would be needed once the $25,000 procedure was complete. Only later did we learn that thats not true, not by a long shot. Much more work and expense was necessary, taking months and thousands of dollars more from other specialized dentists. We discovered this sad fact only after the flimsy upper denture snapped in two. Clear Choice repaired it, but revealed that the denture was only temporary and that the upper denture was provided as a courtesy because ClearChoice does not have the equipment or staff needed to manufacture permanent dentures. Eventually they quit fixing it and I lived on soup until we got someone else to finish the job. Both my wife and I were paying close attention when we signed up. Never did we hear the words temporary or courtesy. Their slick trained staff claimed we were fully informed when we signed, but I assure you that with $25,000 at stake we would have have researched how much additional dental work would be needed. There is absolutely no doubt that we were misled and effectively lied to about this matter. Of course the multipage and incomprehensible contract we signed was cleverly worded to keep them from getting sued for fraud. They have lots of lawyers. Dont make the same mistake we made. If you do chose to go with Clear Choice, make sure you understand how much extra money youll need in excess of $25,000 before you can chew again. PS I note that you cannot post a review on their website or on Google.

    Physicians Now Urgent Care
This company is in network with United Health Care and my wife and I went to see them because she needed an x-ray on August 19, 2018. The cost UHC says should be only $35 but they repeatedly refused our insurance such that we needed to pay out of pocket ($421). I said, fine I will file with UHC directly after. UHC says there is no reason they should not accept our health insurance. UHC then sent them a check for the cost of services rendered. They got the check over a month ago. PN then said they would not refund us the money that we overpaid. They say that they need to receive a letter from UHC that states that UHC will never ask for the money back. UHC says they never issue these letters. So now PN has been paid twice and they refuse to refund us the money that we overpaid! I have called them numerous times and my health insurance company and they have wavered between, "we will send you the money" and "UHC has to issue this or that additional documentation". At this point they have been paid twice and they are refusing to issue a refund. They know it and I know it and that make them thieves and cheats as far as I am concerned.

    Jonathan Morris DDS
It always goes well. I have been going to Dr. Morris for over 13 years at three different locations. He has the expertise to do anything necessary for our oral health AND he is very personally engaging and remembers who you are. He and his staff are great people.

    Connell, Dr. Marc D.
I had gone to Dr. Connell for a Total Hip Replacement and was told that I'd be away from work for about 5 weeks. 9 weeks post-surgery, I could not walk, my leg was swollen, and in constant pain. I was being treated for a sciatica nerve condition by Dr. Connell for the pain and this turned out to not be the reason for my pain. Then I went to get a 2nd and 3rd opinion from two different orthopedist and was told that my surgical leg was 2 inches shorter than my non-surgical leg. The 3rd orthopedic surgeon I went to, did a hip revision and my legs are the same length. I experienced no paid and am walking. I would never recommend Dr. Connell.

    Comfort Keepers - Rockville
Comfort Keepers has many wonderful people. The office staff was kind, responsive, flexible, and especially accommodating after I concluded service. Thinking I would no longer need assistance, I soon realized I desperately needed more, and they quickly aided me. A lovely young lady conducted the pre-service evaluation in a professional, interactive, and caring way. She also unhesitatingly jumped into the care process when needed. Three of my caregivers particularly sparkled. They reliably reminded me to take my meds, prepared meals for me, and kept my kitchen and bath tidy. One of them lovingly fussed at me to put away my laptop (my face was plastered to it, playing) and get some sleep. Another was very proactive - instead of waiting for me to ask, she probed whether I would like this and that (such as breakfast). When I did ask her to find something, she had no trouble doing so. Yet another actually asked me to give her work to do! All were cheerful and kept my spirits up. I couldnt have endured recovery from hip replacement surgery without Comfort Keepers.

    Fishman, Dr. Norton L.
This facility is something out of a horror movie. A doctor that gains the trust and turns to be a monster by lying about the treatment he provides, lies to other doctors about your care and treatment, and selling treatments and supplements in his own office that he stands to gain a windfall from. He showed no regard for the truth of what treatments and the possible dangers are (he used the highest conceivable dosages of unproven therapies and combinations of treatments for not weeks, not months, but YEARS and when the treatment proved nearly deadly, he denied that any of his treatments were a possible cause. If not for other physicians, he could have been responsible for causing a lethality... and he was willing to hide it by lying to other caretakers for fear that he might be discovered for the atrocity he was directly responsible for). I would definitely NOT recommend this doctor or his facility in any which way or form. If you can, RUN AWAY from him while you can!

    Launch Sport Performance
Dr John Jowers is one of the outstanding physical therapist and personal trainers whom I have had the pleasure of working with. He is consistently upbeat, supportive, and pleasant each and every time we have a session together. Moreover, he is one of the most knowledgeable and informed therapists in his field. Not only is he good at providing effective exercises, he is innovative and keeps providing sessions new, stimulating approaches to working with my specific health needs. Consistently, he selects stimulating exercise patterns to address areas that I need to focus upon to ensure that I get the most out of each session. He has taken advantage of his doctorate training in physical therapy, which allows him to build interlacing patterns of exercises that coordinate well. Under his direction, I have significantly improved my physical condition and strengthened those areas of my muscle groups that needed significant improvements. He is always cheerful, complimentary of the efforts his clients put forth and clearly is a caring therapist. Launch Sport Performance Inc. has an excellent facility and a outstanding number of pieces of equipment that are extremely useful in focusing on specific areas of the body that need exercise and challenges. John is often encouraging of me to push my limits. His facility is convenient to access, which adds to the ease of attending sessions. They have a useful reminder of sessions and John is comfortable to work with when session times need to be rescheduled. His documentation of sessions and the ease of scheduling them, despite his fairly full schedule, is very useful.
