    Bath Specialty
The job went very smoothly. Todd came by on a Friday and swapped out the hardware. Rico came on Saturday and re-glazed the tub. It looked great. About 10 days later, there was a definite problem with some of the caulking around the tub. Todd came out the same day I called and re-caulked the problem area. Dealing with Charlie over the phone was a pleasure. I would highly recommend this company, and will definitely do business with them again.

    Miracle Method
Miracle Method did a great job resurfacing the floor, the bathtub and surround, and the shower and surround. Everything looks new. They even cleaned our existing shower doors to look new. They removed the toilets to resurface the floor and placed new wax rings when they replaced the toilets. The only negative part of the resurfacing process was the smell of the chemicals they use. We had to open a lot of windows to vent the odor.

There was originally some confusion in contacting me but Sam called and straightened it out immediately. Josh and Telly came by and estimated the job and Janaka came the next day and did an excellent job removing the old caulk and putting in new.

The company did a descent job, and one of the better prices we were quoted to get the job done. The delay from signing the contract to starting the work was minimal; about one week. The same crew of two worked on the house every day, and generally kept to a consistent schedule which made staying out of each-others way a fairly simple task. On the occasions one of us was home when they were, they took the noisy work outside. The workers were very polite and professional and made every effort to keep the job site clean; it was helpful that we had an extra bedroom/office next to the bath being remodeled that would act as a supply staging area. The total project took about two weeks (10 M-F work days) start to finish. There were a couple of situations where we needed to relay design information to the company and the workers which required a couple of emails to our project manager and sales manager; that were responded to usually within 12 hours. The last day of the project did include a small list of finishing touches that were overlooked during the initial consultations but they company made a last minute home depot run to get the materials to finish. There are a few minor imperfections (grout smear on tile, crack in grout) but nothing serious or worth the hassle of calling them back for right now, and overall we're very pleased with our new bathroom. The B ratings above are really B+, and overall I stand by a rating of A for the job.

The Hispanic gentleman, Pedro, who did the work did a fantastic job. I don't think it could be done any better. Companies are very lucky to have such hard working people. In fact, his work is why I gave this company a B instead of a C.
The deal was for grout/caulk, but once they came, grout was not part of the offer, just caulking, but I really wanted it done. I had to furnish the materials, and Josh did not tell me that I needed Acetone, so Pedro had to delay until a second day, which was the 2nd delay, since my first appoint was cancelled due to an automobile issue.
It seems to me that most Angie deals are to get the company into your house in order to sell you something else, at least this was the case, and this company is shockingly expensive. They wanted to know what other work I might want and I let them price the installation of a new bathroom sink and cabinet if I furnished everything. I was quoted $900.00. This was my third quote and the others were $275 and $350. Knowing how expensive they are, I don't think I would hire them again unless if was just for another Angies List deal.

I am very pleased with the repair done to our shower by Porcelain Tub Restorations. We were shocked when our shower pan developed a crack in June. The crack was almost 5 inches long, and a huge disappointment because the shower was only 6 years old. We had a lot of custom tile work surrounding the shower, so replacing it would have messed up some beautiful work and been too costly. My husband researched the issue online and attempted a repair with a Surface Repair brand fiberglass repair paste kit. It took him several hours of prep to do two applications, and the fumes were awful. His repair lasted a couple of weeks before an edge began to lift. We then called Porcelain Tub Restorations; they came out to do a free estimate. They said the work would be $330 and would take about 2 hours. Initially I thought this was a little high, but we scheduled the work and they came out promptly. The repair work done by Porcelain Tub Restorations turned out to be much more comprehensive than I realized. In addition to the crack, they tested the entire shower pan for gaps in support and drilled 3 holes to inject foam under the pan to stabilize it. The fiberglass patch they used to cover the crack was substantive and took time to blend the edges and match the color. Once again the fumes were awful, but the repairman wore a mask and we ventilated the area well. It took over 3 hours to complete the job. The shower pan looks good and seems much improved. Only time will tell if the patch will hold long-term, but after working with the company and interacting with several of their personnel, I have faith they will stand behind their work. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend Porcelain Tub Restorations.

    Handyman Connection of Rockville (MD)
Not well. They were late for the appointment and had no materials to complete the job. Had to scheduled for a second day. I was quoted for 2-3 hours and billed for 4. which was an extra $98, then I had to pay for an entire bag of grout and container of sealant approx $85 for about 10 feet of re grouting and sealing. Installer was sort of space case. He kept changing plans, asked me to finish some of the work for him and ended up leaving us with two different color grouts and a mismatched tile he broke and replaced. Gave them an OK grade because the bath stopped leaking into the floor below.

    New Look Tub & Tile
The work went very well. Arrived on time and took the two guys a bit less than 4 hours.  There was some smell during work but it was minimal.  They did an excellent job.  I got an special price from Angies List.  The tub looks like new but be aware it feels a bit rough to the touch (totally OK to use it).

The work was done very well!  After I bought a Big Deal, JW Home Improvement contacted me and scheduled a visit by Chris on 3/5/16.  He came on time and noted the areas in the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom where caulking was needed.  We also looked at the caulking supplies that I had on hand and determined what I should buy in advance.  I purchased it so that the handyman could spend his time performing the work.
Oscar arrived on 3/18/16 within the time frame expected.  He replaced caulk in and around the bathtub first.  Afterwards, he completed work on windows in the kitchen and additional rooms.  He covered areas near the windows where he was working. He did a nice job of removing the old caulk, which was cracked and moldy in some areas and replacing it.  When I rechecked it before writing this report, I noticed that some cracks developed in the new caulk under one window.  I called and scheduled another visit on 4/18/16 for it to be fixed.

    Tubs On Time
He was right on time, as usual. This is the second time I've had this service performed in a rental property and it's always perfect. He does some extras with Caucasian tiles to make the whole thing look very professional and brand-new.
