On time; great communications in terms of what their daily plan was, what challenges were coming up, response to my questions/concerns; excellent quality of work, very efficient and also friendly and responsible. In our initial consultation, we agreed it might be possible to simply replace a 3 yard square of ceiling plaster that was coming down, but might be necessary to do the whole thing. That turned out to be the case but the team was clear in showing me why their efforts to do the small piece were not working. Their work on taking the ceiling down and re-doing it was efficient and high quality. A great experience all around!- Mary M.

AGraves Design & Remodeling IncThe project went very well, from start to finish. It stayed within budget, and the team was responsive and pleasant to work with. The work was extensive - they excavated and installed a new egress window, installed new lighting, switches, and outlets, built in a closet, installed and painted new drywall, installed new padding and carpet on the floor. AJW Home ImprovementWe had a wide range of tasks that needed to be done around our house, and we saved a lot of time and money by having JW do all of them, rather than hiring multiple separate firms. Kevin and Soren did an excellent job -- they did quality work, worked efficiently, and and were good to communicate with. Jesse did an excellent job helping us define the scope of our project and identify what needed to be done (and what didn't need to be done). Kevin even made a couple extra trips to complete some electrical work that proved to be more complex than we anticipated. ARIBA Construction LLCRIBA construction was the best experience I have ever had with a construction / remodeling company. I had a custom job converting an unfinished building to a small business commercial retail space. The owner, Rich, personally came out to look at my project and was a true advisor to me on what things I needed to consider to avoid future problems, save money, and achieve the visual outcome I was hoping for. I found the entire transaction highly honest and with the upmost integrity. I was truly inspired by the wealth and depth of knowledge displayed in the design phase of the project. The crew that came out to do the work was on time, cleaned up diligently every day, displayed a high level of professionalism and produced the highest quality end product I could have imagined. Every time there was a slight deviation in plan they walked me through the options and fully explained the best resolution – and most importantly kept me in budget without charging me extra – it was as if they were committed to me and this project rather than boosting revenue and profits – this was a breath of fresh air as compared to some of my previous experiences with other companies. My small business commercial retail space is now completely finished – Insulation, drywall, flooring, door and window installation, painting, trim and molding work and roofing – all brilliantly done. AIndependence Landscape & Lawn CareMark Haller their lead man is extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful. They installed French drains and a paver stone curved walkway with a front step. Paco, their foreman, is excellent and their is crew courteous, hardworking, and efficient. Their prices are in the median/competitive range. You will definitely receive excellent value and excellent return for what you pay for without being gauged. We have had absolute confidence in their ability to listen, offer solutions, explain most pro’s & con’s, execute good work, meet deadlines, along with trust worthiness and solid knowledgeability. Highly recommend! For more detail on the two jobs they did for us, read more below about these two project experiences and results. :) 1) French drain installation We trusted them to install a French drain system which we had not realized we needed - at least not until we met with Mark for initial lawn care estimates. Since the drains were installed last Spring (2019), the lawn is lush, thriving and beautiful. If we had gone with either of the two other companies’ lawn assessments, we would have invested in a continued mud pond and no return. 2) Paver Stone walkway The stone walkway installation is beautifully done. We receive compliments from neighbors and family. We give them Mark’s name each time. We are very happy with the workmanship. My only suggestion is that Mark mention ahead to his clients that colored concrete pavers leach calcium giving it a chalky color for 6 months to a year. It was very disappointing - heart sinking for me to see it happening almost immediately after the pavers were laid. The process is called efflorescence. I needed to look it up to figure out the cause. You need to wait a year and then you can safely power wash out the calcium and seal the stones into the intended rich colors. I followed up and Mark was helpful and confirmed it was efflorescence. He said customers ask about the chalkiness all the time. I do not feel that the omission is purposeful, but it may be an assumption that I’d know or that the stone company would mention it. I recommended Mark tell clients at the onset before they visit the stone store. Concrete pavers are less expensive, but I may have invested in a different kind of paver knowing that issue ahead. I was not given an opportunity to make that decision. Alas, the stones will get treated by us this October and hopefully I see the rich colors that for now, only show after a rainfall. I will update this review when we treat the pavers.- Christy C.

A4 Service ProsWe haven’t had any work done with them yet, but I am already so impressed with this company! David came out to do a basement waterproofing inspection because we noticed a shallow pooling of water in the middle of our basement floor after some heavy rains. Instead of coming out and immediately suggesting some costly remedies (which a separate highly-rated company had recently done), he made it clear that he wanted to be as honest and transparent as possible, and wouldn’t feel right about suggesting any solutions until he could pinpoint the root cause of the issues; he didn’t want to do any work (just to make the money) if he didn’t feel confident that it would actually solve the problem. We greatly appreciate that! Instead, David (who is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable) took the time to do a thorough inspection both inside and outside of the house. He gave us some solid recommendations of things we could do to monitor the space that would help determine the root cause. He also gave recommendations for other exterior areas around the house to address issues that his company doesn’t even handle – he could have easily said, “we don’t deal with that so I won’t waste my time commenting.” He also took the time to answer our many questions, some of which that had nothing to do with services that his company offers. All in all, this company has gained my trust. I feel confident that they do their due diligence, only recommending services that are actually needed and that will provide a long-lasting solution (not just a temporary fix). While we haven’t had any work done with them yet, if we end up needing basement waterproofing services to fix any larger issues down the road, we will most certainly be calling David at 4 Service Pros. He and his company have a great reputation to uphold and clearly take pride in doing the right thing. Finding this type of mentality in any company is very hard to find these days!- Alicia C.

A4 Service ProsDavid from 4 Service Pros came to provide a consult on preventing further water damage to our basement. He identified the problem causing the damage and provided several recommendations on how we could fix the problem inexpensively before resorting to waterproofing if necessary. He proved to be trustworthy and willing to put clients' needs first rather than take advantage of people willing to pay for a service they don't need. AA A Action Waterproofing IncA large contingent of workers arrived on schedule. They moved the remaining stuff in the basement, a collection of 47 years of "stuff", and got right to it. They jack hammered the perimeter of the basement, removed the concrete, laid new drainage piping, recemented the floor, and painted the moldy walls with a water proof sealant paint. The job took 2 days. They didn't make a mess. They didn't leave my gates open so my dogs could escape (VERY important to me). They sealed off the work area so that dirt and dust wouldn't come into other areas of the house. They mixed concrete in my driveway but left no trace of this on departure. The workmen were industrious, finishing this large project in a very short time. We are happy with this contractor.- Cheryl W.

AI am thrilled with the work provided by WK Home Improvement. I was flexible with my schedule and Wagner came and started demo ahead of his crew with a small team. On the days for work, there was a full crew working in tandem and doing a good job. On pour day, full crew again doing all the cement placement and smoothing. Finishing was great. Crew came back to remove framing and touch up, build back steps and railing. Clean up was 100% including power washing off some splatter on my railings. There is seed spread with straw to replace the edges where the work was done. This is top notch work. All the details were addressed and Wagner took pains to match the wood work on the deck to the new stairs. I'm completely impressed and look forward to engaging WK Home Improvement for some interior work once the weather turns for his concrete work. I fully endorse their work. FMy experience with Dave Zile was terrible. Midway through each phase of the job he decides to raise his prices, threatening to pack up and leave if his demands aren’t met. This happened over 5 times, the 5th time this happened he packed up his things and left the site. Through the duration of the job, Mr Dave spoke to me with no respect whatsoever, swearing every few minutes, calling me a motherf****r multiple times for no just reason. Never have I worked with any professional like this especially one who gives his own price for a job, then midway through the job increases it ridiculously and threatens to abandon the job if those demands aren’t met. The lot in question is currently in bad condition at the moment due to Mr Dave constantly cutting corners in order to receive his payments early. This has been the worst experience I’ve had with any subcontractor who claims to be a professional and my advice is to steer clear away from DZ’s contracting. There are better companies out there who have the decency of giving their clients the respect they deserve.
