  • I have gone to Dr. Schantz for the past 8 years following her as she moved practices and finally started her own because she is that amazing- NO PAIN ever with any of my dental work, very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Even though I could find tons of dentists closer to me I choose to go wherever she is. When I moved for a year and saw another dentist for a cleaning they were amazed at the quality of her work and said they actually couldn't tell that any work had ever been done without the x-rays.

  • It was great, her and her staff are always friendly and gentle. At this point she is not even in my dental network but I refuse to go anywhere else. I really appreciate her and her attention to detail. Always asking if I'm comfortable. I have gotten 1 crown, 1 onlay and a night guard from her and they all fit to perfection. I hope she can go into my dental network and I will be super happy. :)

  • I have been seeing him 2 year now. He's really friendly and he goes over the top like to look for you insurance to to see like what needs to be improved. I got a retainer and he just make sure that it's on the proper place and he'll fix it if there's something wrong. He's gentle and put his patients at east. I haven't had any problem scheduling an appointment or change my appointment, they're really flexible. His office is clean, nice and professional.

  • My interactions with Dr. Doerrer are always positive. As a consumer I have learned to ask questions about expenses involved in specific treatments or proposed treatments. If I cannot afford something. I don't move forward.
    Over the years Dr. Doerrer has made himself available for dental emergencies even on Christmas Day!
    I have been dental phobic in the past. Dr. Doerrer helped me develop good dental practices and my teeth are in great shape.

  • Dr. Norman C. Guillen is very thorough and very up to date. He's a good dentist. He has a special procedure for people suffering from TMJ. They're very professional and on time. They have a nice, clean office. They have great hygienists.

  • The service was great.  They were very friendly.  They have called back and checked on my granddaughter after the surgery.  They love to see my granddaughter and the followup is fantastic.  I would advise other people to take their kids there.

  • This review is simply to remind people to verify their Dental coverage with the Dental Group ( or any dentist) prior to any appointments.

    I called for an appointment after checking a very up to date listing (within days) of participating dentists  on my insurance. I do not have a co-pay with my coverage.  The office person was very efficient to tell me that my visit would require a co-pay now. I was surprised since I had just looked this info up.

    My question is: who dropped the ball? My insurer-- by not updating their listings, even though the update said it was within days of when I was looking,  or did someone at the Dental group change coverage that my insurance was not notified of?

  • He's incredibly friendly and very professional. The secretarial staff is fantastic. I've always felt really welcomed there and I've never really had a problem going with the dentist. They've always been a pleasure to work with. I still go to them even though I live an hour away. All of his records are computerized and everything is well maintained because obviously it's a pristine facility. All the records are digitized including the x-rays. He takes a picture of an x-ray and thirty seconds later it's on the screen. It's a great experience and that's why I keep coming back. He's very flexible.

  • My initial impression of Dr Lanza and the Dental Group were quite favorable.  They got me in quickly because I had a tooth that broke.  They performed the root canal that was required quickly and efficiently.  

    But, then... the trouble started.  My temporary filling shattered while I was while waiting for my appointment for my crown.  They canceled my appointment for my crown without telling me.  I found out when I arrived at the office.  Dr Lanza was dismissive of my discomfort with no filling or crown.  It took two more weeks to get the appointment for the crown.  I finally got my temporary crown, only for it to break 2 days later.  I called, left messages, and got no response.  I lived with the broken temporary crown for about 3 weeks before my appointment for my perm crown.  I went, only to find that the crown that they had made was the wrong color, didn't fit, and was cracked.  Instead of building me a new temp. crown, they "patched" the old broken one.  They said they would "rush order" the perm crown.  The patched crown broke the VERY NEXT DAY.  And they still did nothing.  After 10 days, I still didn't have the "rush order" crown.  I called to find out what was going on, only to be told that Dr. Lanza was on vacation and that it would be 5 more days until they could fit me in.  Over all, it took more than two months from root canal to crown.  

    Tony, Dr. Lanza's billing person (who no longer works for the organization) massively miscalculated what my insurance would cover.  Leaving me with a $1700 bill when I was told it would be $500.  The person who was filling in for Tony until they found a new billing person was kind and understanding, and took $100 off for all the hassle I had been through.  And made payment arrangements for all the rest.  She then promptly LOST all the paperwork and contracts that I signed regarding the payment arrangements (thank GOD I have copies!) and I have had to fight finance and late payment charges and speak to the office manager every MONTH since I began my payment arrangements.  The billing office is nothing but incompetent and faulty.  Oh, they are nice enough, but they don't seem to know how to manage their accounts.  

    Dr Lanza lost all his comforting bedside manner as soon as I told him that due to all my problems with the crown and billing office that I would not be back.  It was clear that I was nothing but a $ to him and as soon as that wasn't going to be continuing, I wasn't worth his time.  

    I chose the Dental Group because I had heard so many wonderful things about it... and perhaps my experience is a fluke, but it is what it is.

  • They build good relationship with their customers. I have had the same dentist since I was about ten, and he kind of knows me and checks on me. They are very personable and very attentive to their customers. They are all-around great people. I would continue to see them in the future.
