Air Duct Cleaning reviews in Riverdale

Lowe's provided a very good, thorough and professional service at what was a very reasonable rate in my opinion.  The crew of 2 arrived within a half hour of the start time frame provided upon booking the service and called to provide us with a heads up of their arrival.  They stayed on site for almost 4 hours and thoroughly taped and cleaned all ducts within the home.  Scheduling was about 2 weeks out at the time of booking so keep that in mind.  Overall, we were very pleased with the service.  We purchased this through an AngiesList deal but even at full cost, I believe it was a reasonable price for the service performed.

I contacted the company to get an estimate to have central air installed and my gas furnace replaced.  I had forced air heat, but no central air conditioner.  The representative came to my house and conducted a thorough analysis before recommending the best installation.  I had already received several estimates and in each case the estimator tried to sell me a large system than I needed.  I had conducted a lot of research so I knew what size system I need for my home.  Once I made the decision to move forward, the representative scheduled a time for installation.  The representative was always responsive and on time.  Once the installation was completed, he left my home clean.
I would definitely use this company again.

Atlantic Duct Cleaning was awesome. I did not contract with them directly, but my new heating and cooling service company, D&A Service Company (also awesome!) in Hyattsville, Maryland, had been using Atlantic for more than three decades and sent them to my home. D&A was able to get Atlantic out within a week of my call, and Atlantic did a fantastic job!  They arrived even a bit early, which was just fine with me. I had a different company (my previous heating and cooling service company whom I had annual maintenance service with for nine consecutive years) attempt duct cleaning a week prior, but their equipment broke upon arrival, so they left and never came back or called to reschedule. Atlantic Duct Cleaning really seemed to know what they were doing, and even adjusted some of my vents for me that had been blocked off inside the duct system with wood blocks from the house's previous owners. It was my first duct cleaning, inspired after a horrid mouse invasion earlier in the year. I wanted the ducts cleaned before turning on the central AC, and Atlantic did a wonderful job. They even showed me the mounds of stuff that they sucked out of the duct system.

We picked up a leaflet at Home Depot in Riverdale/New Carrolton offering a furnace inspection for a great, but believable price. The tech(Ceasar) arrived promptly and we talked right away about his company and what they offered. He explained how their work was backed by Home Depot. But also their company independently offered reasonably priced service contracts. Some of the things he said led me to believe he seemed to be well versed in finance and money management. Yes, turns out he was an accountant in the country he was born in. So he looked at the furnace and used a scope to look up into the heat exchanger. He showed me rust spots and rust between the heat exchangers and places where the condensate had been dripping from the AC coils to erode part of the furnace surfaces. He said the flame could not be adjusted properly to address those issues and said likely we needed a AC condenser coil inspect and/or cleaning to help prevent the condensate dripping down to erode the furnace. He could not give an estimate how long the furnace and AC coils would remain intact, which I agreed, having some knowledge from my professional standpoint in a related field. We talked about system replacement and the best advice he could give me was to get the best possible efficiency we could afford and to look for warranties that cover labor as well as parts. Usually parts are inexpensive compared to labor rates (just like at the auto shop) so look for a good labor warranty or service contract. His company's service contract sounded good, but we decided to get a new HVAC system and had his company present an offer. I do recommend having Ceasar do your inspection and if you can get the $89 Home Depot rate, I think it's a great deal.

I had an inspection of my furnace and opinion of the AC as far as they could tell in the winter. The tech(Ceasar) seemed to be very good, and I agreed that we should consider a new furnace and AC. Even if we waited, there was no telling when the equipment would fail, possibly exposing us to carbon monoxide from a cracked furnace. Plus utility bills would be better with more energy efficient equipment. We got several quotes. Sanford Kramer sells Trane and their "economy" equipment. Trane is an industry leader and expensive, so probably you would be safe choosing their equipment or economy system made by Trane. The prices were taken directly from a book the sales agent (I think maybe the owner, Mike) had and a 10% Home Depot credit was given, as this process originated through a leaflet we had picked up at Home Depot. Mike also offered a free duct cleaning. Now I know for a house our size a real duct cleaning is at least $500, so why not offer that as a discount to the system? Mike did keep in touch every several days, which I really appreciate from a contractor. We ended up choosing a different contractor and system due to price, value, and rebates we could get for energy efficient equipment. I did address the federal rebates with Mike, and he said we would qualify for the entire $500 available. I didn't agree. I just recommend that you get everything in writing and a final price including rebates. It's the smart way to work with contractors no matter what you are doing. I do think their maintenance contract sounded decent and their inspection tech, Ceasar, was very good and smart to work with.

I found this company through Angie's List. They were $200 cheaper than another company's estimate. The day before the service, the company called to ask if they could arrive earlier than the scheduled time. This was completely fine with me. I was very appreciative of their communication throughout the entire process. They completed a thorough job. They were familiar with their duties, professional, and courteous. They do carpet cleaning as well. I was so satisfied with their services that I will more than likely contact them to clean my carpets. For the duct cleaning, they charge per house rather than per duct.

Bruno from Loew's was on time, a great communicator about what he was doing and efficient.
