  • Mr. Handyman helped me in all aspects of this large project, from measuring and ordering materials at the start to clean-up at the end. Installation of both patio doors and of garage doors went beautifully, as did replacement of front banisters and repair of old termite damage. The crews were always prompt and notified me by email that they were on their way. The were clean and courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. Mr. Handyman's Dennis Jennings, with his attention to detail, was key to this project being a great success.

  • The replacement toilet installation for our 2nd floor bathroom went very well. Neat, clean, professional and fast. The owner/repair person was very easy to work with as we changed the apointment several times.

  • It went great!  The installers were very professional, arrived promptly, and cleaned up before they left every day.  They did beautiful work!  My husband and I cannot believe that it's the same kitchen!  We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.

    Additionally, we appreciate the level of interaction with the owner, Omar Hamden.  He was with us every step of the way, and was responsive to our [changing] needs.  For example, we initally wanted a corner area with a drawer and doors to cover our trash and recycle receptacles.  During the installation it became apparent that the drawer would not be needed.  Our installers re-measured and will return to install new doors as soon as they are made.  In the meantime, they put in the original doors and drawer front we ordered so the kitchen still has a completed look.  I also later realized that I could use two more slide-outs, which were not in the original order.  Omar was happy to work with us on that and had the two slide-outs installed.

  • This was a $94 big deal purchase. Two guys came out. Only one of them worked while the other one played on the phone, literally played on the phone. One guy cut it and nailed it. I would never let them back in my house. He even handed me a card and said to call him if I needed work done at my house, he said he would do it for me. He wrote his name on the back. As soon as he left I threw it right in the trash. He was going to charge me for other things but I said I would have someone else do them. He was very rude. I was supposed to have him for two hours and he was here for an hour. He did not really finish the job and was not good with the work.

  • He was on time and was able to do the work the same day. The workmanship was very good, and it turned out much more professional looking than I was expecting.  To be clear, my expectations were not low because of the company!  I had to have  a porch railing installed due to the terms of selling the home, and the layout of the porch & steps was awkward. So I was picturing a few 2x4's up to the porch and nothing "fancy."  However, when I saw what he had installed I was very impressed and realized that it definitely gives a much more finished  look. I think the price was a bit high for the amount of work done. I *may* use this company again for my new home, but think I would want to get some comparison estimates.

  • I called Kargmans after spotting an Angie Deal for 8 hours of interior painting and spoke to a very nice lady, Erin. She gave me insight on how to determine how much paint I needed and some helpful websites. She answered all my questions and advised me to prioritize my rooms that needed painting first. The ceilings were the most important to me as I find this the most difficult part of painting. We scheduled a time and date for the following week.

    After a scheduling error in which Erin was most apologetic for and called me the date of the appointment, we rescheduled for the following Monday. Since I was not on a tight schedule, it was of small inconvenience to me. I had already prepped the walls (sand, spackle), took off all the switch covers, and moved the furniture.

    Lenny and Juan showed up on time and ready to go. I did not have any floor/furniture coverings but they did, and spent a small amount of time doing this. Note: cover the furniture and flooring and whatever else you have that you do not want to get paint on because this will cut into your 8 hours. I walked through with Lenny the rooms I wanted done, ceilings first. He understood completely but warned they may not have enough time to do the last bedroom. Juan took off both ceiling fan covers and the chandelier cover which was a nice touch. I totally forgot about that and if it were me, I would've just painted around them. I checked in with them frequently throughout the day and found no issues with the quality of their painting. They worked very efficiently, cleaned up all the areas and I enjoyed the conversations we had. I nicknamed Juan "the bull" and Erin, you'll have to ask him why!

    All in all, it was a pleasant experience and a good price. Yes, there was a scheduling error but Erin at Kargmans called me, owned the problem, was very apologetic and eager to resolve it expeditiously. I recommend them highly and would definitely use them again. I appreciate a job well done. Thank you!

  • Everyone was very professional.  They provided a detailed estimate for the additional services that were performed after the original deal, always on time, the PM checked in to see how things were going, they cleaned up after themselves. Most importantly, they did a beautiful job.
