I will never take any of my pets here again. We just lost our beloved Cockapoo of 11 years in part to the "phone-it-in" medical check-up by the vets. One would think a normal procedure for any medical check-up would be to listen to the animal's heart, and take his temperature. Neither was done when I took my dog in for a check of his walking problem. The vet automatically supposed a neurological issue or said it could be old age with disc issues. When I asked about x-rays, he said a neurological issue would not show up on x-rays. He was given pain meds and sent home. When he had another bout with the same issue a few days ago, I took him back to see another vet at the same practice, and she quickly examined his legs, had him walk for her, and said it was probably the same issue. I even said he was breathing strangely the night before. She said it could be anxiety. She gave him more of the same meds as before and sent us home. I called the next day to express the fact that he threw up during the night, and something was not right. It could not be just a leg issue. She said to give the dog another dose of meds, but this time with food. The bottle did not say to give with food. Later that morning, he was not looking well at all. I called again and they said to take him to the hospital. I did. He had a temperature of 105, a heart murmur, and a mass that showed up on the x-ray of his abdomen. He was immediately taken in as a patient. With an ultra sound, it showed that he had a tumor that ruptured. Peritonitis had developed, and the vet was unsure if the tumor could even be removed safely. She advised putting him down due to all the issues. However, no issue with the back showed up at all. He was walking strangely due to the pain he was experiencing in his abdomen. If the tumor was caught before it ruptured, it would have given him a fighting chance. Had Northwind done a better job, Bailey may just be here today.

I have a pet plan, it costs me like $35 a month. It covers office visits and checkups and any shots she might need to have. They do a better job there then another place. Sometimes the wait time, but you do not know if someone's pet is more complicated then another. Their price is average I guess. Anything medical is overpriced. The price is average. They are pretty good actually. They are nice. I have a miniature pinscher but they are not afraid of her. they love her up. If they give her a shot and she screams a little they go over and love on her. They try to explain things to you. They are great there, you get to know them. I have been using them for 5 years.

Dr. Schulmeyer checked the dog's condition, compared progress to 2 recent visits, readjusted medication, and discussed ongoing treatment that might keep the condition under control.  He was detailed, took time, and answered questions.  His staff members were courteous and helpful.  Service was prompt.   Dr. Schulmeyer and his staff have been very successful in handling this old dog in a way that makes him mellow when he is being treated.
Dr. Schulmeyer has been my vet for more than 20 years.  I have a multi-pet household and he has seen my pets and me through many routine visits as well as emergency situations.  Dr. Schulmeyer and his staff are supportive, never make me feel rushed, and  they always answer questions in a way that I can understand.  I appreciate the doctor's honesty in difficult situations.  I am always thankful for the way he presents treatment options.  He lists all alternatives, but is straightforward in discussing pros and cons of each approach, making it easier to reach decisions about pet care.  I trust his judgments in dealing with my pets' heath care.  I would not hesitate to recommend him to pet owners.

Everyone at Carney Animal Hospital is friendly. Our dog can be a bit grumpy at times but they never make me feel uncomfortable when he growls at first. They are always offer treats and they he warms up to them. We have been there twice due to a cyst. The first time our dog was prescribed 2 weeks of antibiotics. After that the cyst had not gone down but it didn't increase in size either so another 2 weeks of antibiotics were prescribed. Unfortunately the cyst still won't go away so we had to schedule a cyst removal procedure. I was very happy that the vet did not immediately recommend the procedure. We wanted to try a less invasive way first. My only complaint is that the first time the removal procedure was mentioned we were quoted a price of around $175 and then the second time the price we were quoted was around $300.

Beltway Animal Hospital, we have dogs, and we've had dogs for ages and of course the vet as everything else, we have used for ages. I've been here for 35 years and they've been there before I started. I would say their prices are probably low. I have had surgery, surgery from another vet he quoted over $2000 for some hip surgery for a dog I had at the time. This place did it for $650, the exact same surgery. They are honest and they are good and they know their business. I used them two months ago. They are reasonable, professional and very knowledgeable. They are convenient.

I have a rescue kitten who needed all his shots, neutering, and flea
treatment. Everyone in the office is very kind and professional and
responsive to your questions and concerns. I purchased the kitten
package which is a nice savings on general care for the first year. I
    highly recommend!

What I liked about them was that I would call up and they would do their best to get me in as quickly as they could. They took care of the cat and dogs that we had. They were gentle and they were compassionate to us people which I thought was extremely important. When my cat passed away they sent me a card. The cat was fifteen years old. They were very professional. The environment there was always good. The amount I spent didn't seem to matter to me. They were as punctual as they could get. Sometimes I had a routine appointment and they had urgent people that came in, they would take them first if a dog or cat needed urgent attention. I think people understand that. I would absolutely use them again in the future if I had a pet again.

They understand what your going though as if your pet is your pet is your child. They put down one of my animals and they were wonderful about it. There whole staff is just wonderful. They will really listen to you and not just brush off your concerns about your animal.

We were looking for a holistic vet and Banfield was listed.  We made an appointment and when we got there they spent some time with our dog, even though they were not have a holistic vet.  They were very nice and didn't charge us since they didn't really treat our dog.   I think the doctors love animals and try their best to take care of them.
