  • The only disappointment was that they tend to push fast moving clothing items and don't carry higher end items like Gore-Tex jackets. I suppose this is just the way the industry is turning, but overall a nice bike store with most everything a rider will need.

  • I have been a customer for 10 years. Not every week faithfully but when I get on the weight loss kick that is the place I would go. Most of the people are friendly and the doctors really care about you and your health. For years if you make your appointment with a family member you receive a $25.00 discount, so for 10 years my mother and I have always received this discount. We usually have to remind the cashier if they are new because not everyone goes with someone. When it came time to pay we told the nice woman about it (she was new behind the desk), the girl was unaware so she asked a fellow employee. This was woman rude and said that she didn't care if they offered it to us for the past 10 years, that was not their policy and hasn't been and she wasn't going to honor it. The new cashier looked up our account and saw that every time we paid there was a $25.00 discount applied and the rude woman still would not honor it. I agreed to pay the fee they charged after explaining that if they were willing to lose a lifetime customer they would not have my business again. The short brown haired woman said she didn't care it wasn't her problem and walked away. No one has made an attempt to rectify the situation, and because of rudeness and carelessness of that short brown haired woman this Dr.s office lost 2 of the best customers they will ever have. It's a shame.

  • My wife attends classes here with a trainer and she loves it. My kids actually ask if we can go to the gym because they love the kids zone so much. The staff in the kid zone is awesome. I usually stick to the weight area and use the cardio cinema which is like a movie theater with some treadmills and ellipticals. It is a great set up.
    This location of Merritt has an indoor pool and has recently added an outdoor pool. They have tons of cardio equipment and a decent sized free weight area. Most people practice proper gym etiquette. Equipment is newer and the lay out is well arranged.
    I have lived in several different states and have seen the good and the bad when it comes to civilian gyms. This is the best all around gym I have ever seen, from the pools to the child care to the classes. If you are local you can't go wrong with this gym.

  • I stopped by the juice bar to buy a protein shake after my work out. I should have known it would not go well after the lady behind the counter greeted me with ... Our credit card machine is broken and we are out of bananas. All the while having a conversation on her cell phone. I forged ahead and requested my order for a protein shake. While she was making the shake I noticed a stack of fresh bananas on the far side of the counter. This saddened me. Clearly the manager of this facility could care less about his customers. While a $6.00 protein shake seems high, I would be happy to pay it if the product and service was good. What made this surreal was the huge tip jar displayed prominently in front of the counter. The coup de gras was that the shake was horrible. It had the consistency of a Wendy's frosty. After letting it sit for 5 minutes I attempted to drink it but could not. It had a rubber after taste . Needless to say I threw it away. Avoid the juice bar and save your money!

  • It has probably been my life saver. I like everything about them. They are very good and professional. The facility is clean and the equipment is good. The people are nice. Overall, they are excellent. Their professionalism, quality, communication and customer service are all excellent. I would use their services in the future too and I am going today as well. It's a place that I would recommend to anybody.

  • I found 3 companies via the Web that did treadmill repairs and emailed them all, and Mark O'Donnell, president of Exercise Equipment Services, emailed me right back-and it was a weekend!; very impressive. We set an appointment for a tech to come out. He arrived on time, was very professional and nice. He diagnosed the problem--the console was blown, most likely by a power surge. He was doubtful he could find a replacement because the model was discontinued and from the late 90's. He said if he could find a replacement, it would be costly; I might want to think about replacing the treadmill instead. He said he would let me know within a week whether or not he was able to get a replacement. This is where things started to fall through the cracks; I did not hear anything for about two weeks, so I emailed Mr. O'Donnell asking him the status. He did not respond, even though I emailed a couple more times. Finally, a month after the service call, I emailed Mr. O'Donnell again and said I was getting ready to write a report on Angie's List and wanted to give him another chance, I didn't want to have to write a negative report. He responded right away, explaining what I already knew about discontinued models, etc., but said he did have a used console that might fit (same brand, different model) and would send someone to try to install it and if it didn't work, there would be no charge but if it did work, he would charge me $295 "for the console plus the service call." We made an appointment and a service technician came out. I could tell immediately that the console was a different size and wouldn't fit. Despite this, the technician still spent about 30 min. with the treadmill, on the phone the whole time (personal call), while my dogs barked non-stop from overhearing him, and I had to leave a work meeting I had been attending via conference call because of the non-stop barking. What amazed me was that this tech had to have been aware of the disruption he was causing! Finally, he emerged from the room with the treadmill and said he would take my console and see if they could move the components from the one console to the other. He did not charge me. About 3 weeks later, I emailed Mr. O'Donnell because I had not heard from him, and he said they were still "evaluating" and he could not give me an estimate on how long this would take. I went on eBay, found a working console for $85 including shipping, emailed Mr. O'Donnell for his opinion on whether this console would work and if so, would he send a technician out to install it. He answered right away saying if the measurements were the same, he thought it would work and he would send a tech out. I bought the console, set up the appt., the console arrived, I realized it was basically a "plug and play" component, I plugged it in, it worked beautifully, I plugged the treadmill into a surge protector, and I cancelled the $95 service call. All in all, Mr. O'Donnell was very helpful but had to be prodded.
  • They were very nice, energetic, reasonably priced. This is a good workout for women with limited time, who don't mind doing a circuit to loud music. I fit that description, and it was great for me. They also encourage weight loss and healthy eating. I enjoyed my experience there. I stopped due to a broken arm.
