    Remodeling, M.D.
I had the absolute pleasure of having the experts at Remodeling, M.D. come in and renovate my first home, which I purchased almost a year ago to the date. Not only were they fast, reliable, and 100% easy to talk to and discuss the renovations with, but also very informed in modern updating techniques as well as very helpful in assisting my wife with any and all details or modifications she wanted made to the home. All told, Remodeling, M.D. was able to completely demolish and renovate our old kitchen and master bathroom in addition to removing and rehabbing every wall in the house due to the severe amount of wood paneling the previous owner had an infinity for, which luckily they didn't have too hard of a time changing into beautifully smooth walls that my wife loves. Through Remodeling, M.D., they were even able to provide assistance with locating and ordering new carpets for every bedroom as well as the living room. I would highly recommend them to any and everyone who needs house renovations, both inside and out!

We used one of the Angie's deals. The workers showed up promptly and the door was installed quickly. however, there was damage done to one of the walls and they said they were leaving without mentioning the 12 inch break in the drywall. I went outside before they left and asked about the damage and he just asked if I wanted him to caulk it.

    Eastern Shore Window & Door
Eastern Shore Window and Door Company proved to be a winner. The company lived up to its promises, and had a variety of options in various cost ranges and styles. They came promptly, worked efficiently, and were professional in every aspect. I've received numerous compliments on the finished work and believe other customers would be as satisfied as I am.

    Handy Man From Heaven
Very well. It did take two trips as I didn't have the proper hardware for part of the job on the first visit. A little disappointed that it took two weeks to schedule a follow up visit, but the finished work was great. Good service for the fee. Great staff...on time and professional. Great work!!!

It went well. I was pleased with the end product and clean-up of job site. Two WBR employees arrived on time and after confirming the job began to set up and work. They did an excellent job with the door installation and deck repairs. Because of their professionalism, I will hire WBR Services for future projects.

They removed all the old deck flooring some of which was rotted.  In addition they completely rebuild the stairs one of which had also rotted which caused the side stair support to rot. The old deck railings with warped so they removed those as well.  They replaced all with maintenance fee composite decking.  They wrapped the exposed outside support in matching vinyl. The crew arrived on time each day and even finished a day ahead of schedule and the yard was cleared on all debris when they left.

Lowe's Companies Inc - White Marsh
The process was easy. We went to Lowe's to pick out and pay for the
doors and installation. The employee was very courteous and helpful.
Lowe's schedules a measurement and the contractor was able to come by
while we were not home. After the doors were ordered, it took 3 weeks
for them to come in. (Keep this in mind when timing your project). The
contractor they used was very professional and courteous. He called and
said he could do the majority of the work while we were not home but
asked to have someone to inspect and approve when he was finished. It
was very easy and convenient. The installation went smoothly and the
doors gave our porch a very fresh look. The price included 2 doors (Savanah by Larson), measurement, installation, and removal and disposal of old doors.)

Bob's Overhead Door Repair & Service Inc
The initial visit by Kevin on June 5, 2015 went great. Kevin spoke to my wife and she was impressed by his knowledge and customer service. Kevin provided an estimate and explained that it included not only replacing the broken spring but also fixing the track on the left side.  I agreed to the $300.00 estimate and made a deposit of $120. Kevin said it would take two weeks to get the springs in. I didn't hear from anyone by the second week so I called on Monday the third week.  I was told that I would get a call back but never did.  I called the following day and was told that the springs were in and they would be out the following day.
The following day a tech named Steven showed up with an apprentice.  Steven went to the back yard to look at the garage door.  I was on the front porch and could not be seen as Steven returned to his van with his tech complaining the whole time about the age of my garage door, and stated that he would have never sold the job to fix the door he would have replaced the old door with a new one.  An how bad the current door was. I didn't want to embarrass Steven before he completed the job so I remained silent as he went on.  They finished the job, after having to go back to the shop for forgotten supplies, and charged me $170.00 more then the original invoice, explaining that there was more work then originally intended.
I examined the work performed, and they did in fact perform more work then the original estimate called for.  Instead of the left side, they strengthened the right side as well.  As he talked about the work they had performed he mentioned getting a new door and implied that it would have been better to do then to try and fix the old door because "it's still going to have problems"  I explained that my name was not Rockefeller but he was more then welcome to buy a new door for me; until then I would fix the old one.
I didn't dispute the additional charge, because additional work had been performed, but usually the additional work is discussed, along with the additional charges, before proceeding.  I'm not sure I would have agreed to an additional $200.
Flash forward 4 months and the door will no longer stay up on its own, nor will it close all the way.  My wife wanted to call the company back, but I feel its more hassle then its worth.  I will call another company when it's time to replace the door, and it will stay the way it is until then.
I wouldn't hire this company again due to the unprofessionalism of the Tech and the bad attitude displayed.
In all fairness this is more a review about the tech then the company, and even though the tech had a bad attitude, he seemed to take pride in his work and the work performed was done well.  I may have caught him on a bad day.  It's unfortunate, because it just left a bad taste.

    Gustavo A. Presti
Gus and his team of Louie, Tom and Louie (electrician) are the nicest contractors who you will ever come across. He was the first contractor that I contacted. He listened to my ideas and gave me suggestions (my primary goal was to demo one of the walls in the bathroom and move it back because there was there was about 3 x 4 ft of dead space between the walls that weren't being used and I hated my 5 x 8 bathroom). He asked if I wanted to tile the tub surround (i had a bathfitters surround), but didn't pressure me into it. He gave my an optional quote and I could decide if I wanted to go with it or not. He told me to get 3 estimates and go with the middle one (he said that if everybody was on the up and up then they should all be close). He was right. He was the first to get me a quote and the first one to contact me with a follow-up and I felt that he was the best balance of experience and giving me a personal experience. It was very obvious that he knew what he was doing and was willing to work with me with my ideas and provided suggestions but never out right refused any of my ideas. He had no problems with me picking out the tile and gave his suggestions or experiences with different tiles and where to go for different sizes of tile in regards to their quality. A few unexpected complications came about after the demo (the air vent behind the wall demoed went up to the next floor at an angle), but he already had an perfect solution in my mind. When he came across something that was not to his liking (the installation for the wall b/w the tub and the exterior) he replaced it with a better solution. As things started progressing, we made amendments to the contract; The original electrical work was shoddily done and I wanted a gfi outlet outside the scope of the original contract (totally expected this), I decided to go with a pattern tile for the shower surround as opposed to the original plan, Replaced the tub drain with pvc and the coolest thing was that during the wall move/demo, a closet was removed. Instead of patching the wall he came to me with a proposal to put shelving in the 5 inch deep space to use for extra storage which is perfect to put all of the bathroom cleaning supplies (and other bottles, packages). The amendments came out to be $1200 (the original quote/contract was for 10,300), which for the amount of extra work was a really reasonable price, and he didn't do anything anything until he got the go ahead from me that i was willing to have the extra work done, and I now have the confidence that things were done right and I have a really cool closet with adjustable shelving. They easily went the extra mile on the little things paying attention to detail to make sure that I was happy. He never got upset when I changed my mind on something and was easy going.
Around the same time that this work was happening I had my roof redone. Afterwards, I noticed a few things that didn't look right. I waited home one day for the roof rep to come talk to me about my concerns...and he didn't show...again. Gus and I were having a random conversation and this came up. He offered to go up there and take a look since they would be up on the roof anyways to install the vent for the exhaust fan so that i would have more information to talk to the roof rep. He fixed one of the issues (the aluminum siding on the kickout had been pulled to install flashing and never put back in). And then he told me that the one vent stack and boot was just swaying in the wind and wasn't actually connected to anything...he was furious with the roof contractors work and said that I should have been at least notified that the vent stack wasn't connected to anything. He offered to remedy it. I declined at the time b/c I felt that it was something that the roofers should take of, but he put a cap on the vent stack as a short term solution so that water couldn't fall down and damage my walls until they fixed it...which I am not sure that they will. And both of these issues were confirmed by the roofing company. Gus did this at no charge. I didn't know that Gus did roofs as well, but wished that I had so I would not be going through the headache that I am going through now. I would like to add a note about Louie the electrician as well. He noticed that the light pendant for the stairs joining the kitchen/dining room up to the master bedroom wasn't wired correctly (it was a three way switch) and said that it bothered him and that he would fix it for free and now it works like it should (before I had to turn the upstairs switch in the on position so that the downstairs switch would actually work)! Gus hires people that have the same values as him. He was really concerned with the color palette and came to me with suggestions when he started visualizing the tile. I went with marble pencil liners and corner shelves and he thought that having a marble window sill would look better with everything and he was right. He also helped me pick the color for the walls b/c I had no idea of what I wanted and the color was perfect. He also suggested using a dimmer for the vanity lights and it is awesome. He had to replace the original screws for the shower handle plate, but they were not a standard size and because of that they the new screw heads grind a little when turning the handle. He ordered the screws from the shower manufacturer (Moen) and returned to install them so that the shower handle will be smooth again. They installed all of the fixtures that I went out and bought to upgrade the bathroom (shelving, cabinet, mirror, etc). There are a bunch of little detailed things that they did b/c they wanted to be proud of their work and make sure that I was happy. They made sure that everything was cleaned up before they left. I absolutely love my renovated bathroom now. I've already recommended him to my neighbors and I have some other house projects in my pipeline in the next few months and I can guarantee that if Gus wants the work he will be the contractor that I would go with.

    Power Home Remodeling
I usually make it a practice of never buying anything from someone going door to door.  This purchase was definitely different.  When two young men came to our door in early June of this year, we decided to see what it would cost to replace the doors and perhaps a few of the drafty windows in our house, not thinking that it was anything more than just information for future
purchase.  When the sales representative followed up, we were very interested in the company and the manufacturer of the
window and doors and ended up ordering all of our 21 windows and 3 doors to be replaced in our home.  These were
installed in the last week of August over a two day period.
The actual installation went well over the two days with very few issues to be resolved.  I was very impressed with the thoroughness. Throughout the order process and before installation the windows and doors everything was measured carefully several times.  The crew was careful to cleanup thoroughly afterward.  They were professional and courteous throughout.  The crew finished i n the early evening of the second day and after a cursory inspection we signed
off on the job.  However, in the light of the daylight the next day we were bothered by 3 small cosmetic issues with the
front door installation.  We continued to be bothered by these issues whereupon we emailed the Project Concierge was
assigned to us before the job (a very good feature of the company by the way.)  We were called shortly after that.  We emailed photos of the issues and were promptly given a date and time that someone would come to fix the problems.  The men came at the appointed time and resolved all 3 of the problems to our satisfaction.
    Summary:
Power Home Remodeling Group stands by their work and by theproducts that they install.  If you are not happy, they will make it right.  Your warranty covers the work and the windows and doors and any other materials that they install.  The warranty is fully transferable to a new owner in the event that you sell the home. You are given a Project Concierge at the beginning of the project and you can call or email them at any time.   The installation is done over the shortest period of time and the crews are polite and considerate of the inconvenience and also consult the homeowner as the project proceeds. So far we are very happy with the windows and doors and 2 of our neighbors have commented on how nice it looks and wanted to know about the company.
