    Our experience with Rich was positive from the beginning. When he came to give us an estimate for our bathroom remodel, he listened to our ideas and offered great suggestions himself without up-selling. Rich was very accommodating to our plan of purchasing the large cosmetic items ourselves (tub, vanity, light fixtures, tiles, etc…) while he supplied the rough materials (dry wall, subfloor, drywall compound, etc…), and installed everything. He was able to fix some old/creative wiring and plumbing from the previous owners of our house without hassle. Rich gave us every impression that he takes pride in his work and wants to get the job done right. Rich was clean, efficient, kind, and affordable. In fact we received a quote from a big box store for the same exact job that was significantly more than the quote from Rich. He was also accommodating to our baby’s nap time in the next room. The project took 7 days, which was within the expected time frame and within budget. Overall he installed new tile flooring, a subway tile shower, new tub with fixture, new vanity with fixture, new light fixture, new electrical outlet and light switch, wainscoting, molding, and painted. We are thrilled to have a bathroom that we can finally enjoy. Rich really made our vision come to life, and we would definitely use him again in the future for any remodeling project that we may have.

    I would never hire this company again!!! Technicians were professional but just didn't install the dining room fan correctly the first time so they had to return to my home and make sure the ceiling fan was flush with my ceiling. I had no issues with the technicians. The work was performed to my satisfaction. They were honest men and realized that I did not need to install the second newly purchased kitchen fan because all it needed was a screw to be tightened. However, when the invoice arrived in the mail, the cost was not even close to what was quoted. I called to resolve what I considered a totally unreasonable invoice and my integrity was questioned. I was accused of calling to " purposely trying to get electrical work for nothing " I was made to feel that it was my responsibility to pay for the return visit of the technicians to fix a job that was not done correctly in the first place. So I have to pay the hourly rate for a job not done right in the first place??? Brian was extremely rude, arrogant and demeaning to me. It was the worst customer service conversation that I had ever experienced in my lifetime!!!! All I wanted was a fair price for the work rendered based on what I was quoted. Beware ...a quote may hold no meaning in dealing with this company.

    What I like best about Southwind Electric is their consistency in delivering a quality customer service experience. They advise me when to expect the electrician, they follow up quickly to advise me of the job status and options for repairs that might be needed, and the owner is very considerate in helping the customer to figure out the options with the best pricing. My most recent request involved a late night visit to two of our offices to determine if enough night lighting was illuminating the area. Not only did I get a call back the same day the work was done to advise me of some existing issues, but the owner was already preparing an estimate to resolve the lighting situation. Southwind Electric never lets us down and provides the very best service!

    Great from beginning to end! I called to ask about getting an estimate for replacing a front porch light and possibly replacing a ceiling fan. The receptionist (Lorraine?) was very friendly and responsive and even let me know about a discount I qualified for. She explained that fees are based on the job, not the hour, and at the time of the estimate, if convenient for me, the work could be completed then. However, if I wanted to schedule the service for another date, I would not be charged another dispatch fee. (Yes, there is a dispatch fee.) I called Monday and an appointment was set up for Wednesday afternoon. I received a call late Wednesday morning stating that the technician, Kris, was ahead of schedule and could come early if convenient for me. I said okay and about 1/2 later Kris arrived. I can not say enough about Kris - his professionalism, his expertise and his workmanship. He was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! I knew I needed the front light replaced, (it had fallen apart, literally), and so I gave the okay for that job. Then, I asked his opinion about the ceiling fan. (Only one of the four lights worked. The others burned out fast, so I hadn't used the light part of fan for a very long time.) After discussing the situation with Kris, I decided to have it replaced. (I had already purchased one, actually two fans, and even asked Kris to weigh in on which one would look better.) While he was there, I decided to take advantage of his expertise and ask about the back porch light. It was not original to the house. I had it replaced once by a "professional ?" but never really liked the way it hung, or should I say sagged, and once again was concerned about safety. Kris explained that before installing the light, there should have been a fixture block put on the siding. I decided to have Kris fix it and then, since I had bought two outdoor lights, (yes, bought one, then saw another that matched my front door better), I decided to have Kris replace the light. So, I ended up having three jobs completed and am so happy I did! Kris went out to buy the fixture block (inexpensive item), then went about doing the work. The ceiling fan looks great, but more importantly, it is safely installed. (Whoever hung the other one cut a wire.) In addition, the third bedroom light switch that no one seemed to know what was for, Kris identified correctly as connected to another wire for the ceiling fan. Now I have one switch for the light and the other for the fan! My two outdoor lights are installed properly, work correctly and now look great. (Since I am thinking about putting my home up for sale in the next year or two this adds a nice touch.) Kris took care of clean up and all is well on the home front. :) Oh yes, I had one more question for Kris. I showed him a special light bulb that had burned out. I needed a new one for my reading lamp and my attempts to replace it were unsuccessful. ( I went to three home/hardware stores!) Kris gave me the name of an electrical supply company to try. Yes, you do get what you pay for. ( I am thinking about my sagging back light from years past.)

    Great, Bryant and his team arrived promptly at the scheduled time. They were professional and completed the work within a reasonable timeframe. My three young kids and I were home while they worked and there was very little disruption to our daily activities. The quality was great as well. Bryant does a great job, we will definitely use him again.

    Brad was very responsive in schedulingy appointment. He called the day before to confirm everything to make sure the appointment went smoothly. He walked me through my options and explained everything that would need to be done to get the light installed. He did a great job and I'm very happy with the end result. I definitely hire him again for any electrical work.

    We learned about Hunny Do, LLC on Angie's List.  We truly cannot say enough great things about the work performed in our home by Hunny Do, LLC.  Bruce Stevenson, owner of Hunny Do, LLC, is a tremendous professional and handyman.  He is thoughtful, thorough and resourceful in his approach to renovations and home repairs.  The team of workers he assembled to complete the numerous projects in our home were all prompt, courteous, polite and very professional.  We began what became our "journey" with Hunny Do, LLC when we decided to update our home.  Bruce arrived on time to discuss our home improvement / repair needs.  He promised a written estimate, which we had within 24 hours.  The estimate was detailed, itemized and very reasonably priced.  The work was completed timely and very much to our satisfaction, with the final cost right in line with the estimate provided.  When we found a new home to purchase approximately one week after Hunny Do, LLC had completed work for us, we did not hesitate to contact Hunny Do, LLC to complete additional work in our home to prepare it for sale.  Once again, the work estimate was very reasonable, the work was performed and completed on time, and very importantly, we were never left with a mess to clean up after Bruce and his team left.  While they were never intrusive, we certainly feel like Bruce and his team have become our friends.  We are already in the process of obtaining estimates from Hunny Do, LLC to install a backsplash and do other work in the home we just purchased.  It is our sincere feeling that Hunny Do, LLC stands behind their work and Bruce keeps his promises.  We trust him completely and highly recommend Hunny Do, LLC to anyone in need to home repairs, renovations or additions.

    First off, the price above is for labor, plus the materials for dry-walling the ceiling and lumber for inside the shower walls.  We purchased the other parts and materials separately from Home Depot (shower door, faucets, lights, etc..) for about $1200, and the cultured marble shower parts (walls, shower pan, seat, recessed soap holder and corner soap holder were purchased from Beltway Custom Marble at a cost of $3,612. All in, the cost of these partial renovations came to about $15,512--about $1300 over the original estimate. However, as we chose the items to be installed, that estimate was fair. We would not advise using the recommended Northeastern Supply Company for parts, as the prices there were far higher than our budget allowed. We were able to get high quality parts at Home Depot for about half of  Northeastern's prices.

    Although there was a delay of about a month in beginning the work, once it began it went at a good pace, with the electricians, drywall installer, and the two main workmen working diligently to complete the job in a timely manner. Michael and Josiah, who did the majority of the work, were consistently courteous, hard-working, and pleasant to deal with. They persisted in dealing with the minor problems that arose by retuning regularly until the job was completed to our satisfaction.

    The owner, Tim Munson, responded promptly to emails and followed up on all of our concerns. Bill Miner, the salesperson/estimator was also responsive to our questions and calls, and was fun to work with.

    To sum up, we would use this company again and we are pleased with the appearance of our renovations. Though the mess and disruption of renovations can be difficult to deal with, these are made bearable when working with people who show pride in their work and take the customers' concerns seriously. It is not only competence and skill that makes a company worth an A rating, it is also the way they treat their customers--and AES has been outstanding in that regard.

    Harry called us to say that he was super busy, and that he was about 30 minutes behind schedule.  We had no issues with this because he was kind enough to call us and keep us informed.  Harry showed up 30 minutes later as promised, was very courteous while letting us know that he was going to get to work, and asked us if we had any questions for him before he began the attic fan installation.  He quickly unloaded his ladders and gained access to both the roof and the attic. Before we knew it, the attic fan was installed and the upstairs rooms in our home started to feel much cooler.  Since we purchased the installation through Angie's List, he told us that we were good to go and if we needed anything, we could simply give him a call/email.  We were very impressed with his work and demeanor that we hired him on the spot to return a few days later and install our outside motion sensing lights.

    Work went well, electrician (Chuck) arrived on time and made contact with me quickly to schedule repair. We had some work done  by a contractor who call an unlicensed electrician to move some electrical wiring and install new lighting. We did not know the electrician was unlicensed until after the work ad started. However, the work was not completed and had problems getting the new lighting installed so we purchased a deal through Angie's List for the work to get done. Although the task did not take 2 hours to complete, I was satisfied that the problem had been resolved.
