Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • It's interesting that three other people had the same experience as mine with Manuel. On June 25, I called and talked to him about his coupon for yard work. He told me to text him my address and he would call me. I sent the information right after the call. On July 9, I called him again and he said he would look into it and call me back. On July 12, I texted a copy of the coupon with my name and address. He has not contacted me. On a previous customer's F rating, Manuel said that people have no patience and need to wait their turn. I was patient, but people need to know when their turn is. If Manuel had told me he was booked up for three weeks or more, I might have waited or might have tried to find someone else. But leaving his potential customers in the dark is not good business practice. It's a shame because it looks like, from other reviews, when he follows through, his work is very good.

  • Kyle, the owner, was responsive to my inquiry and came out to do the estimate. I explained what we hoped to do and what our minimum we needed to have done and that we would decide based on the cost. Kyle created an estimate that was broken down into parts so that we could pick and choose what we wanted done. Work was started within a couple of weeks and completed in 2 days. I was happy with his staff and the work performed. The problem we had was afterward. After several days of rain, a section of the yard settled, including the rock wall. It was evident that the yard was not tamped well enough. I emailed Kyle and he agreed to come back out and fix the wall/yard where it settled. We decided to wait until the spring (original work was done in fall of 2017) in case there was more settling. In April I reached out to Kyle and he agreed to come out and take a look. I also informed him that the yard had settled more and it had created a low point where water was draining under the sidewalk and eroding the ground in that area. I have heard nothing from Kyle since then. I have since emailed him again and called him with no response. I was happy with the work overall, but not happy with the lack of follow through and communication. I have been waiting to write this review until the work has been completed, but now I'm unsure it that'll every happen.

  • We needed to have two cedar trees taken down. Had scheduled Keil to do the job several years ago. But, because of storms that had occurred in the area, they canceled our appointment. We have had them come out to do two other jobs, and they were great. However, today, they were a no show again. This time, not even a phone call. They were scheduled to come at 8:30-9:30 this morning. I took a vacation day. Called about noon and was told we were the second job on the list. Called again at 3 and were told they were having a problem with their chipper. When they knew they were having issues, they really should have CALLED US much earlier, instead of causing a whole wasted day, waiting around for them. Wasted day, a wasted vacation day that was worth over $500. Will never call these people again.

  • I reached out to them for a quick consultation on the layout of plants in a backyard garden. I sent them a message on a Sunday and they were incredibly responsive and willing to work around my schedule. I met with Kyle the following day. He was very professional, extremely knowledgable, and eager to help me choose plants that fit my needs. I highly recommend!

  • Fairly well.....had to point out some plants that were NOT weeds to one of the (new) employees. I would hire them again, though as finished job was very nice and the Crepe Myrtle tree and Hosta plants they brought to plant out front were very nice. They also transplanted some bushes to the back garden and we are hoping they will last until Spring. Time will tell based on how cold he winter weather is.

  • At first everything went very well, the staff was very friendly and responsive. The estimate price was reasonable and we agreed to proceed with SBC doing the work. The owner said he had to come out and redo the estimate before drawing up the contract. He missed his first appointment but after showing up to the second appointment neither he nor his sales staff would return any phone calls. Tried calling them for weeks, even on the personal phone numbers provided by them and only went straight to voicemail. Simply bad customer service, glad money never changed hands.

  • Mike from ClearTree was very professional and easy to work with. His crew showed up at the house right on time, the trees were removed without a problem and they left the property clean and in great shape. We would certainly use them again.

  • A+ for quality and integrity. This is the second time I've used Mulch Masters. Harry is very pleasant to work with and his team does amazing work! Seriously, it's like night and day when they leave. A quick note about their integrity: they ran out of straw before they could cover the entire area where they planted grass seed (about a 4x6 void). Rather than just spreading the existing straw thin to cover the void, they came out the next day to finish the job thoroughly. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. I highly recommend Mulch Masters!

  • It was a very fair quote; we're just not moving forward with the project right now.  The cost was $600.  That was for removing the old grass, putting in fresh dirt to build up the property; it's actually two properties that are side-by-side, and then they were going to put in sod.  So it was about $600 for the sod price and about half that for grass seed and straw.  Their price was actually on the lower end compared to a couple of other quotes I've gotten - or at least one other quote I've gotten.  For quality, just in attentiveness, the service, they were like with me in like scheduling but then like I want to say a day. Let's go with A, but you know that's based on just meeting the guy and receiving a quote, not actually having the work performed.  For professionalism, he showed up and he looked like a gardener, he spoke like a gardener; I'll give him an A.  I mean, there wasn't any like cursing or anything like that, and that's always a plus.  I hope to hire them in the future; we have another project come up that's actually a little bit more useful than leveling a yard out, if you know what I mean.

  • Tom and his team are true professionals. I had a massive oak tree located close to my house ib my front yard that needed to be removed. Considering possible weather delays, Tom kept the target date for the removal. Remarkable!
