Water Heater Repair And Installation reviews in North Potomac

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Our old water heater was fading fast. Mallick was able to provide a quote (after reviewing several options) and then complete the work within the following week, which was just before Thanksgiving. They arrived one time and removed the old water heater and installed and tuned the new one (electric unit) in less then 4 hours. It has been working great ever since. I would definitely recommend them for consideration for your next plumbing/heating project.

  • I had to shut off the water main to stop the flow of water from the broken pipe and started calling around for who could come and do the repair as soon as possible. Shipley was responsive and asked questions about my general heating status and comfort, which was appreciated. They gave me an early appointment the next morning. Patrick arrived on time, assessed the problem, discussed the options and made the agreed-upon repair right away. Very professional and courteous throughout. He also gave me information on their pricing plans, which cut my repair costs that day significantly. By noon, he had finished, cleaned up, processed the payment and life was back to normal for me, except for some missing drywall in the ceiling of the basement, which I'll have repaired soon by someone else. An excellent experience overall and I plan to use them again.

  • The 2 crews arrived right on time at 8:00am and were all out the door by 6:00pm. One team was led by Rashid who worked in the basement (lower) unit; the other was led by Luis, who worked in the attic (upper) unit. Everyone was polite and professional, and got right to it. Probably due to the individuals who gave us the original estimate and technical assessment (Reggie and Scott), the crew who did the work came prepared and did what was expected with minimal questions for us. They tested both systems, and provided me a walk-through of what was installed and verbal instructions on how to maintain them. They laid down floor protectors and swept before leaving. It was major surgery that was done to replace almost 30 year old HVACs, but this team did it with precision.

  • I had a failing 20-year gas hot water heater. My client, who is a licensed journeyman HVAC and gas fitter, recommended that I call BG&E Home, because BG&E Home installs thousands of gas hot water heaters each year. I called BG&E Home on Friday to replace a 20 year old Rheem gas hot water heater, which was beginning to leak. The installer from BG&E Home arrived on time on Saturday morning. The removal of the old hot water heater and the installation of the new Rheem hot water heater was completed in less than 2 hours. The total cost was $1,160 as follows: $565 50 gallon gas Rheem hot water heater with a 6-year warranty $ 75 Montgomery County permit fee $ 50 Extension of warranty by 4 years with anode rod upgrade $320 Labor for installation $150 Labor for installation of expansion tank (code required) The $320 price for installation is a bargain. I checked with several reputable plumbers in Montgomery County; and their flat rate labor charge for replacing a gas hot water heater is about $800. Note that plumbers typically charge about $235 for the first hour and then a lower hourly rate after the first hour.

  • See above, lots of misinformation flowing around, told offer applied on 2 occasions okay we can do it and each time later they said it did not apply. Hello, who is in charge of this organization. Counter offer was not for what I needed but SUDDENLY they realize I was seeking a 40 gal unit not a 50. Did you read the last two messages I sent with those details?

  • Doug answered the phone immediately and was extremely professional. I described the problems I was having with the water heater and he was able to troubleshoot the issue over the phone! He recommended a $5 part from Lowe's which completely fixed the leak/noise. I really appreciated his honesty, and will be sure to use him for any plumbing related issues moving forward .

  • He was able to arrange the unit in a way that did not obstruct the washer/dryer or HVAC system, and checked with me as appropriate to ensure it was exactly how I wanted and needed it to be. Price was exactly as advertised, and installation was perfect as was cleanup. Will be calling Eire again for several other plumbing issues I have, and have also recommended him to my fiancee who also needs work done on his house.

  • He was on time and fast. He know what he was doing and was well prepared with all the tools he needed. Always offered to purchased materials if we didn't have them. He was already neat and clean in the appearance. Always cleaned up his messes.

  • My wife and I are very pleased with our Carrier Infinity system, AO Smith Vertex hot water heater and the service delivered to us by Presidential Heating and Air. The performance of our new system and hot water heater is a great improvement over our old equipment.  We are looking forward to improved comfort and better efficiency in the years to come!
I am most pleased with Presidential's sales service. My experience with many other companies during the initial process of selecting a vendor and equipment configuration has been that many vendors are not willing to put much beyond a minimum effort in helping a homeowner make a significant decision such as purchasing a new HVAC system.  For my family, this decision was a significant investment and not one that I was willing to make on a handwritten estimate with little other information. Glenn, at Presidential, took the time to help answer my many questions and work with me to find the system configuration that best suited my home and budget. During the process, Glenn also shared his expertise with me and helped developed the overall project design.  While I had a basic idea of what I wanted to achieve with the project, Glenn provided me with a lot of expert guidance in system sizing, placement and duct routing.  Glenn was a real partner throughout the entire project.
I am also very pleased with the installation service delivered to us by Presidential. Our project was pretty large and required a significant amount of duct work reconfiguration, plumbing and new gas line routing. The project took 1 day longer than estimated but, that's a good thing in my book.  What that tells me is that the Presidential team won't rush the job to simply meet a schedule and takes the time necessary to do the job correctly and with high quality. Gary, the technician that installed much of the duct work, is a true craftsman and the quality of his work is top-notch. The outcome of the project is exactly what I envisioned and at a level of quality beyond my expectations.
Thank you, Presidential, for a job well done!

  • The outside hose bib was replaced, but I had to call back and have them return because the hose bib leaked when the water was on but the hose was not in use.  They fixed that on their second visit.
One thing I did not like was the fact that they put a large sticker with their name on it over the existing sticker that was put there by the company that had installed the hot water heater. The original sticker had the install date of the hot water heater.
The findings of the inspection was that the shut off valves should be replaced, but I thought that the cost was too much for each one and that there was no discount for doing many of them at the same time. I did not have them do that work as all of the valves were working and none were leaking.
