  • This was the second time we've had CSSF come out to our house. The first was 2013 right after we bought the house. At that time they came out and cleaned/inspected both of our chimneys, and provided a detailed explanation of the condition of the wood stove, that was original to the house (and it was old!).  Days later we had them install a new, up to code cimney liner and a new wood stove. Their recommendation on wood stove type, size and brand for our purposes was spot on. Throughout the season they came out to clean our chimney and always did a great job. Quick, timely, professional and very clean!  They never left a mess, in fact you couldn't even tell they had been here.  In the fall of 2014 we called them back  to replace an upstairs fireplace insert from the 80s with a new, more efficient insert. Again, they were fantastic. They recommended another stove for us (and not the most expensive one, just the most efficient and correct size for our space). They corrected an old chimney problem during the installation on this, second chimney, fixed the brick work, waterproofed and recapped the chimney, and cleaned the first chimney because they were already up there.  On this particular day, the repairs were lengthy and it poured the entire day, but they worked right through it!  Despite the weather they took the time needed to do the job correctly and completely.  They always answered our questions (even the silly ones) completely and even days later when follow up questions popped up.  They were never late. they stayed within the quoted price, they were professional, neat and tidy.  I will use this company over and over and over.

  • With his mannerisms, I was ready to throw him out within the first five minutes of him being in my home because he has a very dry and unusual sense of humor. Then when I went back to get him to have him come in, he was late for both appointments that he was due to come to my house much as an hour when I called him to find out where he was. I had to wait a while for something. He did fix it, however, I had to argue with him because he broke one of my buttons on my washer and I caught him putting an electrical tape around the button and when I told him I needed a new button replaced, he said no I don’t, I said yes I do, he said no you don’t. I said it wasn’t broke before hand, it was cracked, I said no it wasn’t. So they ordered me a new part but it came to me twice in a different color and then he did stop at my church and delivered it to me to be able to put that myself. I won’t use him again. I don’t spend money for somebody to give me a hard time. I realized everybody has a hard time but my time is valuable too and when I have to call you to find out why you are an hour late, there is an issue. He said he would have it done within a week, he did do that so as far as being true to what he said, it was true but as far as accuracy of what he found out was wrong with it was true, so he did do the diagnosis correctly. He has got a very unusual way of teasing with you that I did not like. In order for me to get what I knew he had broke and had I not seen it, I would have had a broken knob and not known. He left a mess behind.

  • Called Bryce Kuhn and left message. He immediately returned my call and scheduled an appointment first thing the following day. He inspected my refrigerator/freezer and diagnosed problem. He was very knowledgeable and explained in detail why it would be better to just buy a new one--given the age of refrigerator and the high cost of a manufacturer'a repair . I was very impressed by Bryce's professional manner, knowledge and quick response. I would highly recommend him and contact him again for appliance repair!

  • OMG-what a wonderful provider!!!  I contacted Gilbert Rubin of Crest Appliance Repair early in the morning since my refrigerator was making a loud buzzing sound, and more importantly, my freezer was not working & all the ice in the icemaker and food had thawed.  Looked like a flood in the kitchen!  First of all, Gilbert himself answered the phone; not an answering machine or receptionist that would relay a message & cause you to wait.  Since I lived quite a distance from Mr. Rubin, he asked me several questions to see what the problem might be and looked up the model of my refrigerator.  I checked everything he asked.  From there, Gilbert diagnosed the probable problem(s) and provided an estimate for repair, given each possible problem.  With the given scenarios and an 11 yr. old refrigerator, the lowest estimate for the part alone; not to mention installation would have been rather pricey.  But it appeared that several problems existed that would shoot up the cost of repair.  It was his recommendation to put the money into a new refrigerator.  Gilbert spoke to me several times on the phone for an extended period of time.  Not only did he diagnose the problem & spend a lot of time on the phone with me, BUT, he didn't charge me anything...NO CHARGE!!!  He couldn't have been more professional, more pleasant, or anymore knowledgeable on large appliance repair.  What a wonderful & refreshing experience to deal with Gilbert of Crest Appliance Repair!!!  I highly recommend him to anyone in need of appliance repair--believe me, you will be quite impressed and glad you made the call.  Outstanding customer service!!!  Thank you!!!

  • The service provider is very knowledgeable, professional and punctual.  He quickly goes about the repair and leaves the area around the range clean.  In the first instance the price was very reasonable; in the second, it was less so.  A bit pricey to secure and replace a knob. 

    Even so, I will definitely use Reliable Appliance again if the need arises.

  • They came out and did the diagnosis of what was wrong and had to order the part.  Came back about a week later to install the part.  Seems to be working fine.
