  • I called Frederick Foot & Ankle Care on Monday March 30, 2015 requesting an early morning appointment.  I did not stress that I needed it immediately.  However, the receptionist was able to schedule me an appointment for Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 8:45 a.m. 


    I completed the paperwork provided on their site (although I was not instructed to) which I believe saved me some "in-processing" time.  The receptionist was friendly and easy to work with.  When making my appointment, they took down my insurance information and explained all co-pays and costs to me when I arrived.


    After a short wait, I was taken back by the medical assistant Reilly.  I must stress that Reilly is amazing.  She's friendly, kind and most importantly competent.  She was able to answer any question I presented to her.  She performed X-Rays and did a full questionnaire about my issues that she entered into the computer.


    When she was done I was left in the office for 10 minutes or less until Dr. Coralia Terol.  Dr. Terol confirmed my suspicious that I had plantar fasciitis (which I presumed from consulting with "Dr. Google.").  She did another scan and gave the measurements of the tendons in my feet and explained what the numbers meant.  She suggested some exercises as well as a cortisone shot and some OTC orthotic devices (she recommended OTC devices because of my extremely high insurance deductible for orthotics).  The visit with Dr. Terol was brief, but I do not feel like she needed to be there for any longer.  She and Reilly injected both my feet with cortisone and Reilly performed ultrasound on my feet.


    The two orthotics and another kit with a roller and topical pain reliever cost me $143.80 without insurance.  I find this a bargain if they are able to help with my foot pain.  Reilly stressed that they were not pushing these items and it was ultimately up to me to decide if I purchased them.  After explaining what they were, how they worked and what they cost, she made no more mention of it.  I have read reviews on the Internet that this practice "pushes" devices on its patients in order to sell equipment.  I did not get that impression.


    I was given paperwork for my exercise and asked to return in 2 weeks.  I found that after receiving the shots and driving to work I could walk with a pain reduction of approximately 90%.  I know this isn't a cure but having the pain lessened so much is amazing. 


    I would recommend Dr. Terol and Reilly to other patients.  My recommendations are to complete your new patient paperwork prior to arrival (which can be found at mynewfeet.com) and to make an early appointment if possible.  Reilly mentioned that the X-Ray can get busy later in the day.  A note on the X-Ray process: it's a small machine that is not inconvenient or "scary" to use.

  • Dorothy went well above and beyond to find a coverage plan to fit the needs we were seeking. She worked evenings, weekends and odd hours as she researched and passed on information for my review.  I had many questions all of which, she had prompt and knowledgeable answers for. Once a plan was selected, Dorothy stayed on the phone with me as we navigated the system straight through until a confirmation was received (well over an hour).  She performed with the same professionalism and responsiveness a year ago when I sought assistance with another plan.  She followed up both times with phone calls and emails to make sure the process went smoothly.  
    I deal with many "professionals" in my line of work and I will attest that compared to Dorothy, there is, "no comparison".  I have recommended her to all of my social circles and my family.  I seriously could not imagine working with anyone else for health insurance needs.

  • After I got an estimate from the front desk of about $6000 ($3500 after insurance) and went home really upset and lost a night's sleep, I called back and asked the front desk if I could get copies of my x-rays.  They said I could if I paid another $20.  I agreed and picked up the x-ray -- it turned out they only gave me one of the x-rays.  I went to another dentist who looked at that x-ray, did a complete exam, and said I did not need any of the fillings and no way needed ANY crowns.  He filed the chipped tooth for free and I'm all set.  ALWAYS get a second opinion.

  • Being a new patient to Dr. Early Lee, she thoroughly went through my medical history. I explained that I wasn't really the type of person to actually go to the doctor so this experience was very new to me. Dr. Early Lee made me feel very comfortable and explained things in a way that I could understand. She had a very calming manner and was very east to talk with; she was not an alarmist and wasn't eager to just write a prescription and send me on my way. I have recommended the services to everyone I have met in the area. It was incredibly easy to make an appointment and come back for follow up blood work; the hours are great for people who work various schedules. The receptionists in the office were very friendly and because I was new, they took extra good care of me.

  • The scheduling of the appointment went smooth and I was able to get the appointment time that worked best for my schedule. I was able to get all of the needed paperwork ahead of time. I was seen promptly. Dr. Van Meter was very polite, very professional. He was able to quickly identify the issues and explained the process from head to toe, as I was a new patient not only to the practice but to any dermatologist. The doctor removed 3 moles pretty quickly and without pain. We agreed follow up would be necessary and I was able to obtain my next appointment upon leaving the office. Overall, I was in and out within 45 minutes and got the best care. I couldn't have been happier with the experience.

  • Dr. Detterline and his staff systematically moved my teeth to a "happier" location. Although my teeth are not perfect, they are my own, straight, and where they should be. I've been smiling more than I have in my life, the procedure has made me feel more self-confident about my appearance. I wish I had seen an orthodontist as good as Dr. Detterline many years ago.
