Mr Tire ripped us off pretty bad. I had a tire that I thought was making noise. I took the car in and told them that I thought I had a bad tire. I thought they were going to take it for a test run and next thing I knew they had it up on a lift and wanted to do all kinds of work to it. I was really upset. When I left, it had the same problem that when I went in there for. I went back a few weeks later and talked to the manager. They ended up giving me a tire. I bought another tire but the whole ordeal was it was just a rip off and I was really upset. I’ll never go back there for any service or whatsoever. The price probably is comparable to others but it does not matter if they don’t fix the problem and try to charge you with a bunch of services you don’t need. They really ripped us off. Quality was bad too. We went out the lot, we had to bring the car to turn around, bring the car back in and put it back on the lift.

My daughter lives in North Carolina and takes both of her cars to Hi-Tech. She's been ripped off by other places and feels the drive to VA to Hi-Tech is worth it; she gets great service, they take time to explain to her what's going on in terms she can understand and doesn't get ripped off.
She does alot of driving back and forth from NC to VA, DC and MD. On her way to MD, the engine blew in the Grand Prix and Hi-Tech replaced the engine (3 year/36K mi warranty) and there have been no problems.
Previously the transmission in her Acura went out and Hi-Tech took care of it. She had problems after the warranty was up, took it back to Hi-Tech and they provided great service and also gave her an additional one-year warranty, free of charge.

We have a 2001 Nissan Frontier truck which has run great all these years. Suddenly in early July 2013, while going 65mpg on a highway, the engine cut off. We still had power steering, breaks, radio and even a/c. We coasted to the side and after about 20 minutes the truck started up again. Died again on the way home 10 minutes later.  Again, fired up and we made it home slightly frazzled.
We called Fa-Rina and dropped off the truck (yes, we made it there safely). They ran computer checks, no codes at all, checked everything else. By then we had already replaced spark plugs, coils, had a new tune up and oil change which wasn't needed but tried all the usual culprits. They suggested trying higher quality fuel in case the fuel happened to be bad on the last fill up.
A week later, truck died again in same manner. Started up after about 15 minutes. Ended up taking it back to Fa-Rina and left it for the weekend. Told Tony to drive it around all weekend; our insurance would cover it. The truck did not fail him at all; it performed fine. So he, being clever, put it near his bay and started the engine. He let it idle quite a long time and suddenly it cut off. He could not get it to restart for about 20 minutes. (By now, while not cured, we felt quite joyous that ye ole truck did, indeed, do to the mechanic what it's been doing to us! Finally!)
Tony discovered, still no codes, but it seemed to be the fuel pump relay. He replaced it and the truck's run fine ever since. Mystery solved.
What is impressive is he decided to not charge us for the computer testing since that was of no help at all in solving the problem. (We did not ask for a discount; it was his idea.) He also was so kind in that the second visit (which wasn't a cure yet) he told us he was not sure if what he did would do any good at all. He, too, was stumped. Would we call him when we got home to make sure we did get home fine. We didn't. He offered to come get us on the side of the road. (We declined and sure enough the truck started up after about 15 minutes.) It was that third trip that included the weekend driving and his clever idea to let the truck run until it did something wrong.
We will use Fa-Rina for all of our truck needs from now on. We plan to go back to have him do some other fixes which are not dire, such as replacing broken motor in a power-window.
While not necessarily overly friendly at the counter, he and his staff's quality of work, experience and education are beyond reproach. I highly recommend Fa-Rina, Inc.. Just be prepared to be patient as they are very busy with many customers, as expected.

I drove myself to the shop and my car was ready as promised by the time I got off from work, which was very nice. Now after driving about 2 -3 weeks my brakes sound just about as bad as they did when I initially took my car to Certified Auto Repair.
I initally took my car there because of the brake and check engine lights were on. The shop was nice enough to tell me once I picked up my car the the brake light is on from the EGR which could run anywhere from $200 - $400.
I have never seen $101.25 to replace 5 wheet studs, replacing the studs cost more than the front brakes $87.75.

I called Mr. Pizarro before going to the shop and asked if he plugged tires when he replied Yes, I asked if I could come in today and it was Yes again.

From beginning to end the service was good even with a small job!!!

Goss' Garage's thoroughness really stood out to me. Their price was too much for my liking. It was too expensive and I will not take a car there again. They also were not very personable and were very dry and to the point which is not my type of business relationship.

We spent about $800. Everything went well. We like their professionalism. They know the product and seem to do the job well. We dropped off the vehicle and picked it up after the job was done. They got it done in less time than we expected. We will continue to use them in the future if we need to.
