Tree Service reviews in Monrovia

    Bush Creek Tree Service LLC
Excellent! Within one week of my call to Bush Creek Tree Service and in accommodation of my limited availability, Josh walked my property and my neighbors to give an estimate after storm-related tree damage. He discussed the issues and ensured clear expectations for all involved. The next day we received a written estimate with a detailed description of the project, along with supporting documents - insurance, license, certification. Upon our approval, we were scheduled for work just three business days following the estimate. Josh arrived with crew to ensure the project would be completed as planned. The crew was highly competent, working with caution to prevent any damage to property/person, and completed the job smoothly and efficiently. Josh and his team were professional, polite and super tidy. We will be sure to turn to Bush Creek again. Highly recommend.

I had a very bad experience with this business, and it was of such a nature that I can't recommend anyone deal with Bush Creek Tree Service. In June 2016, Josh Nicodemus, the owner, came to my home to do an estimate taking down a large dead branch on one of my oaks that extended over the roof. He freely agreed to do the job for $300. I asked him to have his certificate of insurance sent to me. I received this on July 1. When we agreed on the price, he asked if he could work the job into his schedule by coming by when he had another job nearby. I agreed to this. However as weeks passed I heard nothing from him. In the meantime, I contracted to have a new roof put on my house, so naturally, I wanted the limb taken down before that was done. I wrote to Mr. Nicodemus at the end of July informing him that I needed the job done as soon as possible. A month passed. He didn't return my calls. Then in early September I caught him on his cell phone. He told me a story of personal problems that had delayed him in getting out. I sympathized, but said the roof job was fast approaching and he needed to schedule the job. When I next talked to him he said he was going to be honest with me and that he hadn't done the job because he had given me too low a price. I said he had agree to the price, and I insisted that he needed to keep his word, and he agreed finally agreed that he would do so. He said he would call me back within two days to schedule a time, but he didn't. I wrote to him again asking if he was going to keep his word and he never answered. He didn't return my calls left on his answering machine. I subsequently hired another company to do the job. Is this the kind of person you want to hire to work around your house? If a man is as good as his word, then how good is Mr. Nicodemus?

    Beautiful Country Landscape LLC
I have never been so impressed with a landscaping company! Maynor Diaz and his crew went above and beyond in every respect. He gave me a specific quote for the job within a day or two of my call. Some companies didn't even call me back, or we were out of their service area. They arrived promptly at 8 a.m. on the day scheduled, with a large crew with lots of equipment and trucks. They got the job done in a little over 4 hours, versus the 9 it took our last, much smaller company. What a job it was: All of the mulched areas are thoroughly weeded and bedded in thick, black mulch, as requested, with very good edge definition. Rosebushes are whacked way down like they should be. The bushy evergreen is not only gone, but they mulched all around it as part of the service, which we had not specified. They also weed-whacked both of our patios, which had not been installed correctly, so we are constantly weeding them. Maynor just went ahead and did that, to make everything look nicer, and while I didn't want weed suppressant in the yard, he did try some on the patios to hopefully keep them weed-free longer. In short, everything on the contract was completed--and then some. It is rare to be delighted by contractors these days, so when you are, it is really special. I'm thrilled to have found someone that we'll likely be calling for tree work in the fall.

    Great American Landscapes Inc
Great American Landscape did a fantastic job at our home.  We contacted them via Angie's List and we received a very prompt response from Steven Talcott.  He met with us within days and provided a plethora of ideas for what we could do with our yard.  He was very considerate of our time, our budget and our skill level when it came to plant maintenance.  We originally just wanted a walkway but after speaking with him and seeing the "story" we could create in our front yard we decided to build a walkway and to do some landscaping along the walkway to our front porch and around the porch.  Steven provided very detailed and beautiful design options and then worked with us to choose what would be best for us.  He was very knowledgeable about plant options including shade lovers and those that deer don't like - problems in our yard.  My biggest praise for Steven is that he never pushed us to purchase anything he just provided us options, was very timely, very polite, very friendly and very patient.  GAL kept us up to date on the schedule and the start date and even checked in with us before they started to be sure that all our questions were answered.  The work that was done was beautiful at every stop of the process.  The workers were timely and very neat.  The end result is beyond anything we could have ever imagined.  Steven suggested a circular design element in our walkway that is absolutely gorgeous.  The walkway is beautiful and very inviting and the landscaping is absolutely beautiful.  Steven followed up the completion of the work with a visit to ensure our satisfaction and to give us a tutorial on how to take care of our plants, bushes and trees.  I really can't say enough about our satisfaction - I would highly recommend them.

    Bush Creek Tree Service LLC
Two man team performed the removal of a dead tree. They worked with my constraints regarding a nearby fence and dropped the tree very precisely with no collateral damage. They cut up the tree and spread the pieces in the adjacent woods as I wanted. Work was completed in a timely manner and to my satisfaction.

    Timber Tree Service
Stan came over Saturday evening about 3 hrs after ai called.  Gave some great advice & a reasonable estimate.    Workers came on Sunday morning & removed the broken branch to remove the danger of the break.    The crew came promptly at 8:45 on Monday to take care of the rest of the tree.  They were very courteous & did their work very effectively.  They were very careful not to disrupt any of my 3 neighbors property.  Another crew came promptly @ 8:45AMon Tuesday to pick up the logs and topsoiled & seeded the patches of the lawn the trucks tore up.  they also replaced the post for my fence section.  I would use them again and will recommend them.

    Armstrong Arborists
I have three pitiful pine trees infringing on the power lines into my house. I had used Armstrong before and was so excited to know they could come to my new location and help me with this job. The very next day I came home and the workmen were 97% finished! The yard was being cleaned of pine needles and shavings, What an excellent job! A few days later they came back to grind down the stumps. Every then the pine mulch was evenly distributed and the area was clean and orderly. I don't usually and quot;gushand quot; over contractors unless they provide me with my moneys worth. This company is dependable, and top notch. The workers were absolutely, polite and tended to the task at hand and didn't linger to make small talk. What a pleasure to be able to have confidence in a business.

We had a giant oak tree fall on our house 12/22/2012, which was the
Saturday before Christmas. I called about eight tree service companies,
and only got voice mail, nobody called back. Finally, I called
Broadhurst Tree Service and Richard Broadhurst answered on the first
ring. He was at our house within the hour. Since the tree was so large,
he had to get a crane the next morning at 7:00 to remove the tree from
our house. Then he and his workers (this is a family business) cut up
the tree, set it aside and cleaned up every scrap and twig. They put
plywood over the huge hole in our roof and wrapped the roof in a tarp.
Then they came inside "shored" up the trusses that came through the
ceiling and installed foam board to seal out the cold. (This, of course,
is a temporary fix until a contractor can come and do the repairs.)
If it wasn't for Broadhurst Tree Service I don't know what we would have done and
Christmas would have been ruined, for sure.
    We  asked Richard to
come back on 1/3/2012 and take down four more oaks, which were too close
to the house and are located on a hill in the backyard. Although, the
trees were in a difficult location, they dropped the trees, with such
precision that all of my ornamental trees were totally missed and not
damaged. I highly recommend Broadhurst Tree Service from Frederick, MD.

    Shifflett Tree Svc
They actually brought in a crane to take down the top of some trees off.  They had larger machines and chippers to take care of everything that was smaller.

    They were nice and efficient.

    Brighton Dam Landscaping
Within approximately two weeks, Ryan and his team were back to do the
work in the front--a very responsive time frame for new yard work, and also considering the wet weather we've had. His employees
showed up right at 8 and worked until after 6 pm. My husband and I
cannot get over how much better our front lawn looks! And it was all
done with minimal chemicals, just spot application on the areas that
were bad. Ryan himself came out to do this application.
