The work they did was top-rate, and they also pointed out a missing downspout and fixed that (got a new one and installed it) as well as the scheduled work. AJW Home ImprovementWe had a wide range of tasks that needed to be done around our house, and we saved a lot of time and money by having JW do all of them, rather than hiring multiple separate firms. Kevin and Soren did an excellent job -- they did quality work, worked efficiently, and and were good to communicate with. Jesse did an excellent job helping us define the scope of our project and identify what needed to be done (and what didn't need to be done). Kevin even made a couple extra trips to complete some electrical work that proved to be more complex than we anticipated. When it came to finishes, they provided great options that fit within our budget and took our kitchen to the next level. They recommended adding a feature wall and certain moldings that were true to our historic home's aesthetic. AExterior MedicsI didn't hire Exterior Medics but I'm leaving a positive review because Tom was so helpful and honest. Another mason gave me an estimate and recommended repointing my wall. Tom looked at it and said that it would be possible to do some touch-up but it really was not needed. Tom also reviewed a roof drainage question I had and helped me understand what was going on, but indicated it was not the type of work that they did. It's rare to have a contractor who is straight with you and doesn't try to gin up something to sell you. I would definitely call Exterior Medics again when I had work to do.- Gavin B.

ACapital Masonry LLCI was so impressed with Capital Masonry, LLC. It was a great all around experience with the staff, the communication, and the outcome of the projects. Every area was handled with expertise and professionalism. They constructed boulder steps along the side of my house, down a steep slope. The steps look amazing! They also fixed deteriorating joints on my window sills, cracks on my front steps, as well as on my patio. The end result with all the other repairs were a smooth, professional looking finish. FOn March 12th and 13th 2020 MCP Chimney installers were replaced an existing knee wall in my back yard. I discovered my AC was not working in May 2020 and contacted my Home Warranty company who sent a technician on June 2, 2020. The HVAC tech was unable to determine an issue with my outdoor AC Condenser and reported to me it would be $680 for a line test and approximately $1500 to replace the line if that was even the issue. My Home Warranty would of course not cover this charge. I decided to replace the system after spending an excess of $1200 on refurbishing the condenser in April of 2019. In June BGE Home came to my home to replace my system where the installer reported to me that the" intake line was the worse pinched line he had ever seen." I could not for the life of me understand how this happened and only could assume it was related to replacing the retaining wall but had no evidence. I was archiving my pictures in my cell phone November 23,2020 and found the pictures that I was taking as the work was being performed on my knee wall. When blowing the area up on my phone it was obvious that the intake line had been re-caulked between March 12th and 13th. I contacted the owner Michael Pentifallo on November 30th where he contacted me immediately, he said he would speak to his installer of 12 years and get back to me. Michael Pentifallo did contact me again on 12/1/20 were he acknowledged that he spoke to the installer Jamie, and of course he said he knew nothing about it. He also said he went to my property on November 30th 2020 without my consent or knowledge, chastised me for not reporting this sooner, acknowledged that the caulk did appear different in the photos, but it was not them it was not the way the conducted business & he would see me in small claims court sense I reported it so late and had no evidence for him to review on site. How would I have evidence if it was discovered as the unit was being replaced? If his installer had been honest this matter would have been quickly resolved.

CThe reviews said the company was hard to contact, but the results were good. I went with them and the communication aspects were difficult. First, the company was hard to reach (months). They blamed it on office assistant. For the appraisal, the rep was very professional and seemed to understand we had narrow weather window (December) to do the work. The rep sent me an estimate and I agreed to it. The sealing was scheduled for 10 December (50 degree weather forecast for that week). I moved all our cars and cleared driveway area in preparation. When they didn't show I called them in the afternoon. The rep told me he had a tire blow out on his trailer so needed to reschedule. I told him no thank you as we would miss the weather window. He offered to come on Saturday, but we had company so I told them no. We will now wait until next Spring.

They used a laser to ensure that the patio was perfectly level and also ensured it drained properly when it rained. They also recommended a quality paver and went the extra mile to make sure that we were happy with our patio. They are definitely professionals at what they do and are highly skilled. In addition, they were always professional and friendly and worked very hard. We would definitely hire them again!

DWe live in a townhouse and after seeing our porch bricks and adjoined main wall bricks pull away more and more over a 3 year span of living there we decided to take action. JES came highly recommended as a foundation company and we hoped they would do proper inspections to see if this was in fact a foundation issue or they would give us proper expertise in what the problem would be. The salesperson came out and from the second he walked up he used a scare tactic to make his goal clear that this was a foundation repair which worked well into getting us to buy it. He kept reiterating that this is such a huge problem and that we called just in time and all the right terms. No tests or measurements (investigation into actual issues) or "engineering takeoffs" taken to determine that it was actually a foundation issue. We took his word as the professional and went with their reputation in doing the right thing. Months later they came out for 3 days and installed the piers and were never heard of again. Not a single follow up during, or after the work and not even to let us know the work was done. the permit was left on the door and I was left wondering for a long time if someone would call, inspection. I had asked for pictures of the work and those were obviously not provided either. The day after the work was done our basement flooded with water and piles of dirt. Our main drain line was along that wall and their work had infiltrated the drain and caused a back up. I called twice to inform of this and possibly get a follow up on the work at same time and both times I was told that the production manager would call me back which never happened to this date. Months later now that we are having the brick wall re-built by another exterior company as what we thought would be the cosmetic portion of work, we find out that the JES foundation repair was not necessary at all. Our porch was built improperly and without proper support directly under the surface so it was hollow and the 4" blocks that were used to hold up the bricks were simply pushing out. without a separation to the main house, this caused the bricks from the main house to also pull away as well. Part of the selling of the job was for them to attempt to pull the wall back with these long screws which they basically put into a hollow wall for no reason and should have been noted but as with everything else they did it was just for show. So basically in the end we paid a lot of money for a big foundation project that is now deemed unnecessary and misdiagnosed and were simply scared into it, our basement was flooded as a result of it and now we still have to fix the issue that was at hand. All this and not a single follow up phone call to date. No response to the issues noted. This may be the single worst experience I have had a with company that prides itself on providing a very specific line of work especially at the price tag and importance that it poses.

AUnicorp is a great company. From the first meeting with Brian to the final clean up when the job was completed, they could not have been more professional. They were competitively priced and offer a great product. The guys were timely, thorough, and even caught a screen that had a small tear and replaced it before I had even noticed it.
