  • Just started coming here for shoulder injury. Therapist has set my mind at ease about what it will take for me to heal. He figured out my initial nervousness and did all he could to help me feel comfortable. I am most grateful for that effort and the fact he answers all questions with answers not blowing me off. Office space is open and comfortable; not intimidating. Easy to reach staff for obtaining appointments. Would highly recommend Optimize Therapy and Fitness .

  • After my initial evaluation, a plan was developed and I see a therapist twice a week. The plan is updated according to my progress or limitations. I see improvement each week. The therapists, assistants and front office staff are very friendly and professional. They also email your therapy plan so that you keep up with exercises at home.

  • I am probably in my last week of therapy since I have had excellent results. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking treatment. Jonathan has been an outstanding therapist, and his support staff is fantastic. They have a positive approach and attitude, and I have looked forward to my treatments there, always leaving feeling much better than when I arrived.

  • Condition improved with treatment and recommended home exercise
I felt the physical therapists listened to me and tailored my treatment to my condition. I appreciated that they explained everything to me and answered any questions I had. They encouraged and motivated me

  • Incredible experience.  I had 12 visits that included teaching me 6 stretching exercises that I do daily and ice foot baths when I first started.  Each visit included performing these exercises, 15 minutes of therapeutic massage (Mr. Kong is amazing!), ultrasound treatment on the arch and heel and taping of the arch which gave me real relief right away.  Dr. Ko explained every procedure and the result I might expect.  When after 8 treatments I still had some pain (although much improved), Dr. Ko performed dry needling.  Read about it if you don't know what that is.  That was exactly what I needed.  With a few more follow-up visits and eliminating the taping I was released today and have to say that I'm sad to go.  Dr. Ko, Mr. Kong and the entire staff at Synergy are warm and friendly and efficient.  The location is great, easy free parking in a lovely new building in Maple Lawn.  The offices and treatment areas are spotless!  I couldn't be happier.

  • I was able to get the therapy authorized very quickly.
I love working in warm water, as it's much easier on the body.
I'll be going at least 3 times a week and look forward to working with them in the future.
I'm working muscles that haven't been worked in a very long time and find the warm water therapy very relaxing. Too bad I can't sleep in the pool just floating. It's heaven.

  • Their relaxation therapy is not quite hypnotism. They are very personable, and approachable.  They have a nice  environment, and they make me feel comfortable.  I went to another place before Body Wise, and I hated it!  I have no problems with appointments.  They are very flexible with me.  Staff friendliness is an A Triple Plus!

  • On 1/5/2012 I first met with the Director of Active PT (Yonas Habte) for an evaluation. This was one month following a total knee replacement. He was very pleasant to deal with. The center is clean and open. After 2 months of attending I can say with absolute certainty that this place is outstanding. The staff, Susanna, Dawn, & Rashad are a great group to work with. They are low-key and don't pressure you into doing something you aren't comfortable with, although you must at least try. They are flexible with appointments and are very punctual. I'm not finished yet but, if I ever had to undergo PT again, this is the only place I'd go. I've recommended them to a couple of friends already.

  • Physical therapist Traci has been wonderful. She is very attentive to the patient, caring, and expertly assesses the patient's needs. The office staff warmly greet us when we arrive for the appointments which always start on time. While Parkinson's is a degenerative disease, the physical therapy has helped slow down it effects.

  • I've gone to Physiotherapy Associates many times over the past 12 years. Every time has been a great experience with significant improvements. The most recent visit was for a torn left shoulder rotator cuff. I saw the clinics director, Ian West, who was extremely knowledgeable on human physiology and has a great bedside manner. When asked, Ian explained in detail what he was doing with a specific exercise or maneuver; it's clear Ian loves his work. Ask for Ian specifically and get appointments in the early AM to get as much one-on-one time with him. Physiotherapy Associates is also one of the very few clinics still accepting my insurance in the D.C./Baltimore metro areas. One last note: the $15 cost was my insurance co-pay per visit. Of course this is dictated by the insurance company.
