Talha created a unique design to fit our needs, Juan was very easy to work with in coordinating our surfaces in both color and look and Blake, our project manager was responsive to our inquiries, receptive to our concerns and worked hard to get our project finished on time.   • Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Dovetail Restorations. After my initial inquiry, the owner Todd arranged an appointment to view my kitchen table and chairs to provide me with an estimate for services. He suggested that the base of the table and four chairs could be cleaned up rather than undergoing a refinishing but agreed that the table top should be fully refinished. Within a week, we had an estimate for the work. We decided to proceed with the services. Dovetail Restorations is extremely busy so we had to wait about 3 months before the company could pick up our table and chairs and begin work on them (we were so grateful that Dovetail provided pick-up and delivery services for an additional fee). After picking up the table and chairs, Dovetail completed work within 4 weeks and returned the items to us. The table and chairs look brand new! We were so impressed with the quality of the work and are grateful to Todd for his advice about 'cleaning up" the base of the table and the four chairs. That decision saved us more than $100 a chair. Todd also arranged to have table pads made for our dining room and kitchen tables. We deferred to him for color selections and he did a fabulous job. We highly recommend Dovetail Restorations.

  • I hadn't tuned the piano for many, many years. Dr. Kafig did a remarkable job considering the issues of my 50-year old piano. He is very knowledgeable, was actually a concert pianist, and completed the job the very day I called! He also gave me helpful advice on how to keep my piano in tune. I highly recommend him.

  • From start to finish, this company is top rate!! Excellent work!! I couldn't be more pleased! Rusty made my parents' old furniture look new! He patiently worked with me to decide just the right color to stain the furniture, and the results are beautiful! His delivery crew is also top rate! They very carefully negotiated my stairs to deliver the furniture to the second floor, leaving the walls and furniture unharmed. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company. And the price was very competitive and reasonable! Thank you Rusty!!

  • John was prompt, knowledgeable and thorough. On top of that, he was very nice to talk to while he was onsite. My piano hadn't been tuned in a few years and that might have been challenging enough, but he came in and fixed a key as well. I guess the way in which my piano is put together is a bit unusual, so he spent some time in figuring out how to get to the action and didn't end up charging me because he 'learned something new'. I would definitely hire him again!

  • Service provided and work performed were perfect from beginning to end. Mr. Harmon came to our home in late July to assess the work needed, to pick up the seats, and to provide sample fabrics. He arrived on time and the meeting took about 25-30 minutes, as this was a pretty straightforward job. He completed the work while we were on vacation, and called to let us know when it was done. The work was completed within the estimated timeframe. We arranged for him to come out to bring the seats back and re-install them, and he arrived right on time for that as well. Not only did he re-upholster the seats but he replaced the padding as well (part of the price). The seats look great!

  • WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DO NOT SHOP HERE. 
    We purchased a new sectional (with a deco pillow set) from this store. It was delivered the following week with MULTIPLE rips, tears and stains. We contacted the store, and after about an hour on the phone, were informed that a replacement couch would be sent out the following week. 
    The next week came & the delivery people, along with the replacement couch never showed up. We had to call the store again & were informed that the delivery was scheduled for a different day than we had been told, without being asked if that day would work for us - which it did not. We therefore had to wait yet ANOTHER week for our replacement couch. 
    The replacement couch was just delivered today.  The sectional itself is in much better condition than the previous couch, but the deco pillows are complete CRAP.  The delivery workers also did not finish putting the sectional together before jumping back in their truck and leaving, without so much as a "We're finished", or having us sign any kind of paperwork to confirm the delivery.  My husband had to finish assembling our new sectional himself and we are left with a pile of crappy pillows that are leaking stuffing and have a ridiculous "sewing" job.  This will be the first and last time we EVER purchase anything from this ridiculous excuse of a business. 
    My warning to other furniture shoppers ---- SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!

  • S&K seems unable to fulfill their commitment to have all lots (not just 60%) numbered and catalogued, described, photographed and put on the web prior to and during the preview days, or even by the beginning of auctions.  Few people showed up at the auction today, and hammer prices were low.  Why bid on something that you can't even positively ID, because they couldn't provide a description nor item number in person at the preview, nor a photo of the item online up through the auction???  Without a number to associate with the item, is one supposed to sit there for two days waiting for it to come up? 

    I simply became frustrated at not being able to locate by web or catalog the numbers of the item I saw at preview, asked about, and showed up to bid on. With1000 items to hammer over two days, and everything now piled up behind black lacquer screens so you can't even find the piece to show to staff, I became bored and left. Additionally, the lack of photos does not speak well for their ability to maintain the internet side of the auction.

    I previously thought of consigning  the better half of my excess to them, but now think I would do as well using one of the local auction barns.
