  • I have two dogs and they just finished a level 1 class with them. They have been fantastic and we really like them. We are going back for level 2. I found them on Angie's List and they had a great website. I emailed them to get information and they were responsive using emails to communicate. They got to me right away and my dogs were able to take the class.

  • Rachel was very personable, but very professional, also, and our dogs loved her. (We also have a rescued part-chow who is 11.) Although we have had several dogs before and had gone through numerous training courses with them, we had never had a and quot;high-energyand quot; dog like Sookie. Rachel gave us lots of good ideas to deal with Sookie's barking at the door and jumping on us and other annoying behaviors. We went over the basic obedience commands and Rachel helped us see how we could make training a little more fun for Sookie. One thing that we loved . . . Our 11-year old dog got treats whenever Sookie did (after all she knew to sit, stay, etc. and performed them with Sookie--usually), even though the focus was on Sookie. Rachel gave us a written evaluation and and quot;homeworkand quot; plan after each meeting, so we knew what to work on.) We had made arrangements for a third training session, but then we had a number of family and health issues that prevented us from working more with Rachel. However, the two sessions with her were time and money ($80.00/session) well-spent.

  • My dog is aggressive to other dogs. After some time taking classes that really helped to discipline her, but didn't stop the aggression, I decided to take my dog to Boarding Training at CTC. After I got her back my dog sleeps in her crate without complaints. She doesn't attack every dog she sees in the neighborhood. She walks next to me and she stops when I stop.  I am very pleased with her progress.  CTC accomplished in two weeks, what I couldn't in a year.

  • I went to see Andrew (owner) to get an assessment of what I needed to improve my dogs aggression to other dogs. He recommended one-in-one help with another trainer because of my dog's aggressiveness. After that I joined this level 2 class,
With this class I feel that I conquered my fear of been around other big dogs with my dog. My dog knows her command and my attitude is a lot better.

  • I love going to class. My dog was pretty unmanageable on the leash until we did the basic course with Allie. Now, in a crowded room with other dogs, he can sit, lay down, come, stay, and heel despite the distractions. The class has really improved his behavior at home too. My dog listens more overall and I know how to be the leader for my pet. The class DOESN'T use treats, which I think is the selling point for it. You use touch and praise instead of food rewards to control your dog. Allie's goal is to have all his clients pass the Canine Good Citizen's test, and he works tirelessly to get you there. The agility practice is fun and helps tire my dog out. Always a plus.

  • Ken Buzzard was very easy to deal with. He was prompt in returning phone calls and flexible with pick-up and drop-off times. While we were traveling, he kept us up-to-date with our dog's progress through e-mail communications, even attaching photos of her playing and being groomed. Although the price was not cheap (it's $65/day), the service and results we received exceeded our expectations. We were able to enjoy our vacation more knowing that our dog was being well-cared for and entertained, especially for such a long period of time. We would have spent almost as much to board her at a regular kennel, where no training is provided and little attention is given to the dog. We will definitely use Last Chance Dog Training for future vacations and training needs.

  • They really seemed like they knew there dogs and how to train them. They were very imformative and open to questions. We were able to have our basic training from there.

  • I took my dog to Pet Smart for six training classes. The staff is professional at Pet Smart.
