Concrete Driveway Installation reviews in Laurel

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • They do a great job, it’s just better have a contract prior to working because the prices go up.  They do superb work.  I don’t have a complaint when they finished the job, it was just the year and a half it took to contact me and do the job, and it was the price raise. Halfway through the job the price went up.

  • Mr. John Russo and his crew did a superb job on repairing the crumbling concrete wall around the exterior steps to my basement, and in replacing my old driveway and front sidewalk. Their prices were reasonable: $5,985 for removal of old driveway and sidewalk, and replacement with new, and removal of 2 very large bushes; $2,375 for repair of concrete wall. The work was done so professionally, and Mr. Russo communicated with me throughout the project. Also, they did a great clean up job of the site before they left. I've seen the excellent results of Russo's Construction jobs throughout my Laurel neighborhood over the years - I'm very glad I hired them for my job.

  • Lumbee solutions did a great job on my old, cracked driveway and the surrounding area (including a sidewalk) Crew was very easy to work with and responsive to our ideas. Work was done on time. Great work and great people :)

  • My concrete driveway had sunken about five inches from the base of my garage and had a significant crack in three of the four main sections.   Paul came by and talked us through options for replacement and suggested that we replace the entire driveway and not just the sections that had cracked.  He also quoted us a price on the spot and clearly described the work that he would perform.  When I received the written quote it had all the details exactly as we had discussed.   I felt good about our interaction and my research, and my wife agreed, so I notified him a few days later that he had the job. On the day of replacement, Paul and his crew showed up early (about fifteen minutes). Paul again explained to me the work he would be doing.  Everything went like clockwork from the removal of the old concrete, to the site preparation, laying of gravel and the arrival of the concrete truck.  The work went exactly as planned, except for a broken hydraulic hose.  Fortunately, they were able to find a replacement at a local store not far away.  In spite of this hiccup, they still completed the project by early afternoon.  The end result is that we now have a fantastic looking solid driveway with no more cracks, puddling of water or five inch drop from the garage.  We are receiving steady compliments on our driveway from our friends and neighbors.   I am very pleased with the entire experience of my interaction with Maryland Curbscape.

  • My driveway was in very bad shape.  The end of the driveway where the asphalt meets the sidewalk was broken with missing pieces and grass growing.  The side of the driveway that bumps up against the sidewalk that leads to the front door needed a little bit of attention also.  The other end of the driveway where the asphalt meets the garage was had about a 2 inch gap.  The rest of the driveway had long cracks and and indentations.  I called AC Paving the morning of 3/16/16.  Around 1030am Joel came by to give me an estimate.  He explained in detail what would be done; cut away about foot from the sidewalk end and the garage end, around to the sidewalk edge that needed repair,  fill-in the cutaway with asphalt and cap the entire drive with 2 inches of asphalt.  He said  the crew was in the area and they could have it done that afternoon.  The crew showed up around 3:00pm. I wasn't sure what I was expecting but I wasn't expecting a 7 man crew, with a backhoe, the machine that compacts the asphalt after they are done spreading, and a truck with the asphalt.  It was impressive, they did a great job in 2 hours, and it looks great.  I am extremely pleased with the work that was done.

  • Kevin was prompt and friendly and provided the estimate when promised.  The price was reasonable, and Lisa (office) was responsive to calls and emails and was able to schedule the work a little sooner than the initial estimate.  The pricing was good, and the service was excellent.  The crew on all three days of the project (demolition of wooden deck day 1, demolition of concrete and forming up to prepare for concrete pour on day 2, and pouring of concrete and clean up at job site on day 3) were all professional and friendly, and went above and beyond my expectations including leaving the area much neater than upon their arrival.    I highly recommend their services and would not hesitate to use them again.

  • I can?t praise Lifetime Stones enough ? prompt response to our initial message; estimate and project details received within hours of the site visit; and fine, prompt workmanship by the crew doing the concrete work and the crew building and installing the iron railings for our stoop. Eddie, the project manager personally inspected the project several times and was always available by phone or email to answer questions.  We?ve never had such an easy experience with a contractor.
We wanted our asphalt single wide driveway removed and replaced with a driveway wide enough for 2 cars, the walkway to the house replaced, a homemade patio of granite stones in sand removed and replaced with concrete, and a solution found for a new stoop with low stair and railings to replace an old stoop which had a rise much too high for us as senior citizens with some orthopedic issues.  Eddie was extremely helpful and creative in his solution. We now have a wide stoop surrounded on 2 sides by a beautiful iron
railing.  The railing extends to a handrail on one side of a stair down to the walkway.  On the other side, Eddie suggested a handrail bolted into the brick face of the house. We now have a stair that is very easy to climb and the security of handrails on either side of the stoop. And, our rather small old stoop has been replaced by one the size of a small patio.  The entire appearance of our home has been greatly enhanced by this project.
The cleanup after both phases of the project was excellent and both crews were eager to leave the site looking good.  The concrete crew carried our granite stones to the back of our yard where we wanted to store them for later use in edgings around plantings.  The iron work crew carried our wrought iron chairs back to the stoop for us and thoroughly washed the entire stoop and walkway before leaving.
Lifetime Stones provided us with prompt service, excellent project management, and a finished project that far exceeded our expectations.  And, frankly, when I posted our first message to Lifetime Stones, I was hopeful we?d have the work finished by the end of the summer.  I never imagined we?d already be on our second week of using the driveway, walk, and stoop.

  • It went fine. They did a nice job. They were very conscientious. They came out when they said they would. It was a really hot day and they stayed to make sure that the concrete didn't dry out too fast.

  • Dave Bell made it a very simple process.  He first met with us  at our location to discuss the job; a couple of days later we received an estimate and, a couple of days after that, Dave placed us on his calendar.  He was up front about not being able to come out to do the repair immediately.  Given David's solid reputation in this line of work, I expected to wait.  In the end, the driveway was completed over a span of two days and after waiting around 30 days (mostly for the weather).
A couple of other thoughts - Dave Bell is a super busy but if you give him a day or two he will respond.  The best time is to catch him on his cell first thing in the morning or anytime via email. Even if you think he may be slow to get back, please remember that he's an expert and a professional.  He's taking his time with another customer to ensure all of his/her needs were met.  He will extent the same courtesy to you when your turn comes.
Patience, respect and common courtesy go a long way with Mr. Bell.  He does the best he can and you can be sure to be happy at the end.

  • We had hoped to have this company pave our driveway (because our initial impression of the person was very positive), but after they came out to do an initial evaluation of our job, we had difficulty with communication. Responses to email questions took many days and were not thorough. Phone messages were not returned. We lost confidence in the company. After a few weeks, an email arrived giving us a project start date, without answering the questions we had previously emailed.  We notified them of our concerns and did not schedule the work.
