  • When I arrived, the instructor was holding the door and welcomed me into the class. She asked if anyone had any injuries and was very accomodating to the entire class. Once the class started she was very professional, gave great direction, and helped participants as needed. I left feeling energized and would certainly recommend this class to anyone wishing to try Power Yoga.

  • When I arrived, i was greeted by a friendly front desk staff. They checked me in, and gave direction the locker room. Once I put my stuff in the locker, I went about my workout, and I had an overall very satisfying experience. The staff was courteous, kind and the facility was great.

  • It is a great gym, it is very clean, cleaner than a gym I have every seen in my life and they have great classes. It is a really expensive gym though. I used them for 2 years. There were a few times, when I got annoyed with the staff at the front and they are overpriced.

  • This location opened about a year ago, in the new complex with the Whole Foods called North Bethesda Market. It was less than a mile from my house, so I wanted to give them a try. The complex is actually 4-5 floors underground, so cell phone reception is a major issue.
The upside, they have swimming, a full court basketball court, and ample cardio and workout machines, as well as spinning and dance classes. I mainly did the cardio and basketball during my trial, but ended up going to Retro Fitness across the street because of the price. If you want a more full service gym, I would recommend L.A. Fitness.

  • Overall, the location is good but the actual building is cramped into two floors. There is one main and quot;penand quot; of cardio machines on the bottom floor, with open air up the free weights and machines upstairs. The cardio equipment also seems slightly outdated and overused. (one had a rubber handle flopping off). They do have a daycare on site for a reasonable price, which is convenient for busy parents to squeeze in a quick workout. The main issue for me was the price. $55 a month is nearly triple what these other discount no frills gyms are offering. If you need classes or flexibility to join their passport program and use multiple locations, it might be worth it for you. For me, I switched to a lower cost gym.

  • I visited the gym for a regular workout. Upon leaving, I ran into the Group Ex director and she was absolutely engaging and exciting. She told me about a few upcoming classes and made some suggestions for classes for me to attend. I am taking her advice and plan to attend a class within the next week!

  • Todd is very knowledgeable on what different companies provide since people are very interested in using nutritional supplements. So, he helps people find reasonably priced supplements that will do what they need from a source that is reliable. It’s a good situation because he keeps people from purchasing things they don’t need or purchasing things that are redundant like when sometimes people get into combinations and things. In his case, he can often help somebody find something that is a reliable generic product that he knows. He doesn’t sell supplements, but he suggests things that people have to get elsewhere. He has been a good resource for people. He is experienced and very honest.  Sometimes when people go out and buy combinations of pills or take two different combinations that have some of the same things, he will try to shape their program so that they don’t do the redundant things. There are some things which will cause a problem if you take too much. He is good at that and he is also good at helping people find forms that are well absorbed. I know that several of the local alternative physicians look to Todd for information about ways to select products that will help people get what they need and not what they don’t. We have several stores who have people that are supposedly health educators, but I find that Todd is more reliable than a lot of those folks. That is something that I like about him. I also like the fact that if he doesn’t know, he will say that he doesn’t know or he will find out. Sometimes he will give you the options, what he was able to find out and the possibilities. I have never been to his office because I always deal with him over the phone. He is very punctual. When I have gotten things from him, the billing statement has always been in the box and has always been nicely itemized.

  • We joined Kaiser Permanente around 20 years ago. We took our children to the clinic for check-ups, broken limbs and general types of illness. They were treated promptly and with compassion. The children, at the time, hated having to go to the adult section once they were too old for pediatrics. I was seen for a variety of ailments, and was always treated with respect. The exams were thorough and the providers never seemed to doubt my description of my ailment and treated the illness accordingly. My husband, too, was ill and the providers worked with him until his illness was under control. Now that I am in my late sixties, the ailments have increased and have left me shocked and dismayed. Yet the providers I've seen have been understanding, aggressive in their treatment and very supportive . I've never had to request specialists because the doctors have already thought ahead and ordered an appointment, consultants and treament. With that said, our family grew up with Kaiser Permanente appreciate the dedication of doctors and nurses who could make more money elsewhere, but are dedicated to the type of service we receive. We highly recommend this HMO.

  • She is a great internist, and keeps abreast of the latest technology and information network. She is very personable, and communicates with the other specialists that I see. She is very logical and knows how to illicit the information she needs and perhaps the most important thing for a primary care physician is to understand the patient, to get the information she needs to make a diagnosis or a referral. Her corpus of knowledge and ability to apply it is her greatest asset.
