  • The work was done well. Very professional in working to develop an estimate to make sure everything was understood. Any problems that arose were dealt with promptly. Clean up was thorough. All in all, very satisfied.

  • Very pleased with every aspect of this project. The work was performed in a professional, timely and neat manner. Several specialists were involved, all were very competent and respectful of our home. We were apprised at every stage what to expect and there were no surprises. We felt very comfortable with the workman and had no reason to be concerned. Their price was very fair with the quality of work and materials involved. We highly recommend " More Than a Carpenter " for any work done in their area of expertise.

  • Excellent. HH Homes are very professional, very clean and tidy at the end of each work day and always arrived on time in the morning. Hank and his team are very good craftsmen. We would recommend using them to anyone. They were able to start our project very quickly and finish on time, per their contract with us.

  • We had no previous experience with Wilhide Painting, but selected them based on the reviews we read here and on other sites. We were VERY PLEASED with the work that Ray and his crew did. Although they were more expensive than other estimates I received, the attention they paid to the small details and the quality of their work makes them worth every penny. Ray can be very particular about the details, but this is exactly what you want in a painter! At the end of each day, they cleaned up any messes that occurred during the day. Other than the newly painted sections, you would not have known that they were there during the day. Due to a postponement of another project, they were able to complete my job two weeks ahead of schedule. When I need more painting done, I will definitely contact Ray to do the work.

  • Chris never did the job. In February when I requested the estimate, I told him the painting would need to be done after I had the new bamboo flooring installed (estimated at that time to be sometime in March). We agreed that late March would be an acceptable start date. After I accepted his proposal on February 23, I stated the flooring would not get started for at least another two weeks and that painting would most likely have to occur in April. Chris emailed me back stating that this would be much better for him. On March 14, I let him know that the floors would be done by the end of the week and he could start any time after that. He emailed me back stating that now he would not be available until May. On March 16, I reluctantly agreed to this time extension. On March 19, Chris emailed me stating that he would not do the job and suggested I find another painter. This required us to start over on trying to find a new painting contractor. I do not know why Chris led me on and then pulled out at the last minute. In my opinion, he realized that this was a very big job and that he significantly underestimated his bid. His bid was approximately 40% to 50% of the other bidders.

  • David was very professional.  He admitted he did not want any problems to show on Angies list.  I think that is a good incentive.
He has experienced installers who did the job in one day.  Their warranty continues if you sell your house.  Also screens are replaced when worn. They needed to travel a distance to Jefferson, Md.  They installed in January when it was in the 30's.  If we have a problem in the future, I am confident it will be taken care of.

  • An absolutely superb job.  This was not an easy task.  On the first day a crew arrived and did the prep work; primarily to protect the screens that are very close to the railings.  A crew of up to 4 worked for the next 3 days in weather that was a bit chilly to get the job done. No day labor here.  Don and every crew member was skilled and meticulous.  We chose Mr. Painbrush due the the honest advise and lack of hype.  We were a bit reluctant to go with the lowest estimate.  In this case it really paid off.

  • They provided an estimate very quickly and were able to offer us a date to begin within a week.  They painted our entire house (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and cabinets, dining room, 2-story living room, hallways, stairway, and office nook) in just two days.  They arrived on time (between 6:45 -7:00 am and worked the entire day for both days.  They were careful about moving furniture and other items out of the way, and then back again.  They covered everything and protected our hardwood floors and furniture.  They were polite, professional, and courteous, every single person.  They used the exact colors we asked for, provided 2-3 coats, as necessary, and even removed some very old wallpaper in one room that had been painted over by previous owners. Great workers, excellent professionals, and amazing job!

  • We had originally had another contractor come out to give us an estimate, but that one gave a huge price, they were rude, late without apology, and unprofessional.  We found Cecil Construction on Angie's List and gave them a call. Brad came out very quickly and gave us an estimate that was half of the other company. He was punctual, professional, and courteous.
We ordered the shower and when it arrived, Brad picked it up for us.  While he was installing it, he noticed that the base molding was a little off. He said it might not mean anything, but he wanted us to make aware so we could replace it if we wanted.  Very honest.  We did send it back, but the store lost our re-order. Brad called them and personally went over there to straighten everything out. They re-ordered the shower and he again picked it up and starting to install.  When he realized that shower had the same molding problem, he told us, personally returned it and helped us shop for another shower kit.  He made recommendations that were within our price range. He never charged us anything extra for all of this extra work.  Once the new shower came in, he and his partner quickly installed it, even coming in on Saturdays to get make up for the time lost on the ordering problems.
They then replaced all of the drywall and repainted. They checked the shower to ensure it was okay. When I reported one air leak in the seams, he immediately came out and fixed it.  Although the work was done in just a few days, they always cleaned up at the end of the day.  Very professional, kind, honest people. Call them!
