    Green Future Construction
My front yard was a disaster. The lawn was at least 90% weeds, uneven, and just terrible looking, and we had wood timber planters and retaining walls that were rotted and falling apart. We called around to a few places but decided on Green Futures because we liked their philosophy. Their initial quote was a little steep for us but they were very accommodating and adjusted their proposal to meet our budgetary requirements. The estimate, contracting, and setup process was quick and easy. The work was scheduled quickly and the crew arrived right on time. It was a big project and they did a great job! They tore out all of the grass and weeds, laid down landscaping fabric and covered with mulch. They also built in a drainage swale with white river stones and it looks sort of like a little stream running across the yard it's beautiful! The other part of the project was the rebuilding of our planters and retaining walls. They replaced the rotting timbers with stone. We were provided a fairly wide selection of materials and color so we could pick out just what we wanted. Everything was completed in 6 days. Overall we are extremely pleased with the finished product. It really looks fantastic and should continue to look great for a long time. We are very happy with Green Futures and would not hesitate to call them again for other projects we have around the house.

    M Taylor Enterprise
Matt came highly recommended from an architect and a structural engineer that we knew. We solicited additional quotes, but Matt was the most reasonable by far. Additionally, his specialty is foundation repair and helical piers, which many other companies don't do. Matt is very professional, honest, and straightforward. He can be a bit abrupt, but he and his crew do great work! Our house was basically sinking and the back wall had started to cave inward, which we didn't find out until they had started digging. Matt made sure we understood the problem and had the structural engineer present to explain different options. He was very thorough and made sure that even more minor repairs were completed as we had requested. All of the work was done in a timely manner, and we felt aware and involved in the process every step of the way. Lastly, our neighbors are home during the day, and they told us that the crew was always very careful to clean up at the end of each day and were as quiet as possible.

    Diversified Contractors LLC
Contracted with Diversified Contractors, LLC to install a front patio, retaining wall & low voltage riser lights in spring of 2016. Personal contacts included Doug A. Barahona (Co-owner, Resident Agent & Project Mgr); Julio (Stone & Lighting worker); & Bryan M. Guiffre (Acct Executive). Seven (7) months after work was completed, the wall lighting system malfunctioned repeatedly. Diversified prolonged remedying the defective lighting system they chose & improperly installed. This was diagnosed by a certified electrical contracting company. In spite of urgings to address the problem by 2 TV consumer advocate divisions (Ch 7's "7 On-Your-Side" & Ch 4's "NBC Responds), Diversified Reps procrastinated for months causing me to pursue legal action. 4/2017, I filed with the MD Dist Ct a complaint. 7/2017, The court issued a judgment & ruling against Diversified Contractors, LLC for Breach of Contract & Failure to act in a responsible manner in honoring its contractual duties & obligations under the warranty. Damages Assessed.

    S & R General Construction
Rafael, Surley and their team were an absolute pleasure to work with - hands down the only contractors we will ever work with. They were punctual every single day, to include on Thanksgiving, and worked throughout the day to ensure they stayed on track. They were professional and incredibly respectful of our home - cleaning and dusting daily. The quality of their work and attention to detail was exceptional. We couldnt have been more pleased with the way in which they worked and the finished product.

    Avalos Stone and Landscape
I took off work early to meet Alvaro Monterroso at my home. He was 30 minutes late and did not call. I explained what I needed, but he began to talk to me about repaving my porch and steps with brick and stone. We got back to what I actually wanted and I scribbled down three options with prices. I asked him to produce a detailed written estimate so that I could share it with my husband. I gave him my email so he could send the estimate. It's been almost a month and I've heard nothing from him. I'm very disappointed!

Ciminelli's did an awesome job installing a new 35' x 5' flagstone walkway. They were able to perfectly match the stone and style of a stoop and steps installed the previous year. Ciminelli is a safe pick if you are looking for an experienced contractor and a hassle free experience. Ciminelli also did an awesome job installing the previous driveway, which took approximately 4 days. The work crew arrived on the scheduled time frame and completed the project within the scheduled time frame.

    David Ricard Masonry
Perfectly! David and his team had great design suggestions, worked quickly, cleanly and were incredibly responsive to my excessive number of questions about the projects. I suggested a 45 herringbone design, but David showed me examples of his work doing 90 herringbones, which were much more interesting and even cheaper than what i wanted. He also was quite helpful in making suggestions on maintaining the appearance of the brick walkway.

    GO Contractors Group LTD
The Provider, Nestor Gomez with Go Contractors LTD did an excellent job. I am very pleased with the man and his work. All of my interactions with Nestor were great. I liked him the moment we began our talks. He he both texted me and called me to let me know he was on his way and arrived punctually at the agreed time. He was of a pleasant demeanor and I felt very comfortable having him inside my house, which is very important to me.
Once he arrived he proceeded to repair the hole in my dry wall. Watching him work, I saw his work ethic and was very satisfied that I had chosen the right man to do the work needed. When the job was completed I was extremely satisfied with the work he had done.
I would not hesitate to use his services again and I plan to. I felt Mr. Nestor Gomez was a honest, competent, experienced contractor,  with a good heart and excellent customer service skills.
I will be recommending him to both family and friends. You can't go wrong with GO Contractors!
    Thank you!

    Capitol Chimney Service LLC
The chimney cleaning was fine. For the parging of the smoke chamber, there was an equipment failure on the first day and they had to come back to finish it a second day. I was told I would be the first on their schedule and someone may be out as early as 7:30-8AM. There were driving difficulties, but when I called around 9AM, I was told the guys were coming. They showed up at 11AM. My house is 25 minutes away. The actual work went ok as far as we can tell. However, they did leave mortar in both my front and back yard, including on stepping stones, rain barrel, and hose. (I made them clean the mortar off the window and door it sprayed all over. The guys did so willingly. I did not notice the mortar everywhere else until after they left.) The problem we have had was with scheduling and with the honesty of the person who does their scheduling. Because we were happy with the chimney cleaning and prior to the smoke chamber parging, we also hired them to clean the gutters at our rental house a mile away from our primary residence. They did not show up on TWO days that they were scheduled to do the cleaning. The first time they did not show up, the weather was perfect and there should have been no problems. But, after doing work outside at our rental for three hours waiting  for them, I called and the scheduler to see what was up. She said she had called me. There were no calls or no messages on either of my phones, including the one I had on me. When I questioned her about that, she evaded answering me. They did show up to clean the gutters for the 2nd appointment - on a day that was below freezing and clearly could not do the job. I rescheduled twice after that because of the weather and the winter storm. Obviously, there was no gutter cleaning during a snow storm. However, they were scheduled to do the cleaning three days ago. It would have been difficult, but possible to do the cleaning. However, I could completely understand if they didn't want to because there was still a lot of snow on the ground. I would just expect a call to let me know. But, they did not call to reschedule or cancel. I called them today and confirmed that they did not show up. They said they had notes to call to reschedule with me, but, of course, no one called to do so. And, now, because they have filled their schedule and aren't taking new appointments for a week, I can't get on their schedule for another eight days. Considering the lack of reliability, we are looking for another company to do the job. Had they called me and had the scheduler been honest with me, I would have given them a good review. I understand complications. I just want truthful and timely communication. It goes a long way to building a trusting and lasting professional relationship.

    American Professional Chimney & Masonry
Communication with provider was prompt and they arrived right on time. The cleaning and inspection took only a few minutes and they provided a detailed proposal about further work that need to be done. The proposal and price seemed fair and we are still considering it.
Workers were clean and tidy, put everything back in its proper place and were pleasant to deal with. Would definitely recommend, especially if you knew masonry work had to be done.
