Interior Painting reviews in Glenwood

  • This was a big job and the work was completed as scheduled. They were very pleasant to work with and everyone on my job was very professional and hardworking. Using Perfect Painters for all aspects of my job--painting, floors, and carpets made scheduling the work much easier.

  • Rene is hardworking, honest and above all, trustworthy - that is why I hire him. His pricing is also reasonable. The quality of his work is absolutely top notch - I just cannot say how much my wife and I value this. Our basement is fully functional, our kitchen came out looking exactly as we had envisioned it, and our bathrooms look fabulous. Needless to say, I'd recommend Rene in a heartbeat!

  • We had several rooms in the main floor, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms painted. The guys were very nice, prompt, and helpful. They did a great job on the rooms. The bathrooms were a little rushed since they were done during toward the end but nothing blatantly obvious unless you're examining the paint job. I'd highly recommend them.

  • It did not go. After paying for the service, I received a phone call from a lady who was very difficult to understand. Then the crew showed up unannounced, on a day it was raining. The crew leader looked at the job said it would be no problem and that they would return on a day when there was no rain. No one ever came, no one ever called.

  • When we moved to a new home our plan was to completely remodel the kitchen. We wanted to take down a wall between the kitchen and the Dining room behind. In addition we wanted two windows added, new hardwood flooring, new cabinetry and a lot more! We contacted VKB Kitchen and Bath once again based on our previous experience working with the same company on our previous home. We were very impressed by the great reviews the first time around and were even more impressed by the work previously done. We have just bought our new home (back in January) and Junior spent three hours with us during the consultation listening to our ideas and advising about practicalities. He was very realistic with us from the start; advising us not to stretch ourselves and get into debt with multiple projects in our home, but to focus on one at a time to allow time to save in between. He suggested we get a couple of other estimates for our own peace of mind - his honesty and integrity was refreshing from the start! Junior informed us from the start of our kitchen renovation project that quality work takes time. We were very naive about the amount of work that goes into a kitchen remodel, but having watched the incredible transformation - and all the stages in-between (including complete removal of dry wall and ceiling) - we are so grateful for Junior's perfectionist work ethic, and creativity. He is more than just a designer. He is capable of advising about design nuances that will ensure a superb finished product. We were constantly impressed by Junior's talent; there seems to be nothing that he cannot do. It transpired that the wall between our Dining room and the kitchen was load-bearing (our home is 45 years old, and Junior warned us from the start that he wouldn't know the exact scope of the work until he removed the wall). This created a some additional work, but Junior's solution resulted in an incredible addition to our kitchen: a gorgeous wooden beam to hide the support structure which replaced the load-bearing wall, and which fitted perfectly into our kitchen design. Some examples of VKB going above and beyond: Spending hours with us one evening to get the electronic design right for our kitchen prior to commencing the work Driving for hours to and from Granite suppliers to select the perfect countertop eventhough they have an impressive selection in their showroom just to ensure the slabs was big enough for our island so that there would be no seems when it was fitted Walking our dog in the day when we were out Adding a gas line outside for our grill whilst he was moving the gas line for the double oven Helping us with multiple DIY projects elsewhere in the house when our expertise failed (putting up blinds, light fittings, wood trim, shelves) Working longer hours than any contractor I have ever heard of Working weekends Getting to know our style better than we do, and therefore picking out better tiles and window casements that our original efforts We found everyone to be honest and extremely hard-working crew and just about every we encountered at the showroom has also been great and there is always a sense of humor going around in that showroom. We very much enjoyed being there. Their project manager Jason will not leave a job until the customer is 100% satisfied, and his standards and expectations for his own work are very high. Although, VKB's business model is the customer is always right, and to provide excellent customer service, we learned to be realistic with time expectations - great quality work takes time and it is not productive to rush them. Our finished kitchen was 1000% worth our patience to ensure that VKB was able to get the best parts from the best suppliers.

  • I had two rooms of ceiling damage, one from a leaky roof and the other was from leaky plumbing. In room there was significant damage and there was also the issue of trying to match the paint so that the entire room would not need to be repainted. The painters went out of their way to find the right paint and provided expert, high quality service. They showed up on time, kept me informed and completed the work on schedule at the cost estimated. I would use them again.

  • The team of men worked quickly and well. They used a diluted bleach solution to clean areas where there was algae. Suggest homeowners move fragile plants or cover them. A few, new young seedlings died from the bleach water but all my other plants did not suffer at all. When the work was completed they asked me to inspect things to make sure I was satisfied. They did an excellent job.

  • I purchased a deal for 8 hours, but they only stayed seven. They finished what I had asked them to do (even though the main painter acted like I was being unreasonable by asking for the area to be painted that I did; the rep on the phone had no problem with my request) but they definitely rushed. Got some paint splatter on the hardwoods and a couple spots on rugs. It was a great price, but I wasn't impressed enough to use them again.

  • Zebra was highly recommended by two different people.  I checked him on Angie's List and saw highly rated but recent reviews said he was too busy to call back.  Contacted him on 5/15.  He said he was not too busy and to text my # and address he would call me back for an estimate.  I never heard back from him.  Early July I contacted him again, asking if he has any intention on reaching out to me to schedule.  Again not so much as a respond to a text.
I understand being busy, but to not bother calling back a potential client is crazy to me.  Even to just say that you are overwhelmed and will call when possible.  Read all the reviews, this seems to be a trend with Zebra.

  • Initial contact was great, I thought there was no follow up but their estimate went into my junk folder.  As soon as they realized the problem, they called me up.  I haven't yet made the decision to have them do the bathroom but they're definitely in the running.
