They did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them to others.  They were very professional, knowledgeable and informative. They explained everything to us in detail and the their pricing was very fair.

I would never recommend Bray and Scarff to anyone. Our experience was incredibly frustrating from the time they installed a new dishwasher (March 2014) and then tried to trouble shoot a problem which surfaced 2 months later (May 2014). It took 2 months to get the problem resolved which ended up being completed by GE Customer Service, not Bray & Scarff, last week (July 25, 2014). All of the problems were the result of poor customer service, incompetent techs and long delays in scheduling service calls to finally have a new replacement dishwasher installed this past week by GE Customer Service.
I knew we were in trouble when the first tech came out to install the new dishwasher and said it would not fit in the space. When we originally ordered the new unit we were told there would be no need to come out and inspect before the installation to make sure it fit. So then we had to wait for the next service call and the second tech advised there are adjustable legs and it fit fine after he made a simple adjustment. The unit worked fine until late May when it would not complete a cycle and just stop. We contacted Bray & Scarff and it took several weeks to get a service call to investigate. The tech advised there was a door hinge problem where the door became unsecured causing the unit to stop. GE told the tech this model was having this issue and suggested new hinges and front panel assembly which took 4 weeks to receive. When I called GE Customer Service to inquire about this issue GE was not aware of this model having this problem. I contacted Bray & Scarf to find out more but no one made an effort to call me back after I made multiple calls and inquiries. I did get one call back from Holly who left a message for me but never returned my calls thereafter. Once the parts arrived it again took several weeks to get a service call to install the new parts ( Bray  cancelled the first service call). When the tech arrived he discovered the real issue was a damaged leg to the unit. GE advised this was not repairable and ordered a new replacement  dishwasher. According to GE the leg could only have been damaged by dropping the unit i.e.  by Bray & Scarff, what a surprise!

The control board of my KitchenAid microwave/oven combo was suddenly (in the middle of the night) showing the probe light and beeping.  It has done this from time to time over the last 4 years.  They have managed to fix this with a new control board one out of three times.  The first time I allowed the tech to cut the probe wires after he struggled to fix it correctly.  It eventually reoccured and the next guy managed to get KitchenAid to give us the control board without charge, but we paid for labor.  This time, as I stated above, I preordered the part - knowing I could send it back - to avoid being double billed  (i.e., for two visits).  The tech used the new control board and still had the same probe light and beeping, so he decided it needed a new jack from the board to the oven - which he , of course, didn't have -- and he said he needed help pulling the oven out of the wall.  So, guess what...a second visit.  He had the part sent the same day directly to us.  I knew this would not fix the problem as other techs had tried this in the past, but HE'S THE REPAIR GUY!  Of course I had to be at work and my wife was doing her best to work with the techs though she had to be working in her home office.  The next visit yet another tech comes and pulls the oven out of the wall on his own and replaces the probe jack, which,of course, doesn't work.  He asks my wife if it would be OK for him to just snip the wires (OF THE NEW PART HE JUST INSTALLED!) to stop the probe light.  My wife - needing to get back to work - says OK.
The next day I call and ask for a refund since no repair had been affected.  I had, in effect, paid a professional to jerry-rig my oven  and not repair it.  The woman on the phone (Mary) agrees with me and says it has to be sent to be reviewed by a technician for approval.  She says it will take about 72 hours.  After 2-3 calls and a week later I get a call on my answering machine from Linda who says the refund has been denied because if the oven was working then a repair had been made.  As you can see the oven was never NOT working -- it was just the annoying probe light and beeping.  I called to contest and after being put off twice a woman comes on and says she can handle the case and repeats the question - Is the oven working?  She is unconcerned whether a repair was affected - just if the oven is working.  It gets very heated and I hang up.
OK...BOTTOM LINE:  These guys are very spotty in their abilities.  One tech may know what he's doing, the next guy probably not.  They have a way to call for help while they are struggling, but it usually doesn't help.  You never have the sense that they know what they're doing.  Meanwhile the charges are mounting.  These are the factory authorized repair people for KitchenAid -so think twice about getting that brand.  This is the last repair we will be making on this unit.  A&E technicians are generally incompetent.  They seem to be learning as they go.  Further I had seen this defect with the oven on blogs online and none of the techs said they had had similar issues.

Everything he did for us was exceptional work.  Both timely and efficient.  His pricing is very fair.  What more can you ask for?
By the way, did I mention that he is one of the nicest and most courteous people I've ever met.  I recommend him to anybody that needs help for appliance repair.
