    Pearle vision will not give me my contacts prescription because I did not come in for a follow up appointment after given trial contacts when I was told specifically by the doctor to just call them. My husband went in to pick up his fixed glasses that he was told would be free to fix and now they want to charge him $110 when the frames brand new are $115 - ridiculous. While there he was trying to pick up my prescription and they wouldn't because the file "is not closed out" because I did not come in for this alleged follow up that I was never told about. Mike, the kid he spoke to and I later spoke to on the phone was condescending and rude. We pId for this prescription and now they won't give us them which is not only straight up theft, but now makes it twice that we were lied to. I would not reccomwnt this office to anyone I know.

    Each visit is professional and cordial. Dr. Schocket gives me a detailed description of where I stand. She answers all my questions and those of my husband. I am very happy with the medical services provided. She currently shares an office, but soon will be moving.

    He is very good. He takes his time. If we have a problem with our glasses, we can go back and get it corrected. He even changed the sunglasses prescription for me a couple of years ago. It was the right prescription, but because of the glass, it was a little bit of a problem. So they replaced everything at no charge.

    Dr. Tarantino has a doctor of optometry serving in his office. She saw my mother first, getting her history, the history of the current problem, and then ran several tests. She explained that she wanted Dr. Tarantino to see my mom and left to speak to him. He came within a few minutes, examined her test results and examined my mother's eyes himself. He ordered more tests and then saw Mom again to explain the problems she was having. Because a blood vessel in the back of the eye (retina) broke and leaked blood into the eye (later called a stroke in the eye), her vision is very blurry in that eye. But the severe pain was from iritis, an inflammation of the iris. Eye drops gave her instant relief. He gave her a prescription for the iritis, and referred her to a retina specialist because if the blood vessel problem occurred again, retina damage would lead to vision loss. Dr. Tarantino and his staff dealt with her problem quickly and efficiently, providing her with much-needed relief and instructions for administering the drops at home. His gracious and considerate demeanor removed all fear that we were experiencing. Mom has since seen the retina specialist who will continue to monitor her condition which includes an elevated pressure within the eye. We have since learned that Dr. Tarantino is the chief of ophthalmology at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He has become our eye doctor.

    Appointment was easy to make. Individual who made my appointment was friendly and helpful. Staff was friendly throughout the visit. Lots of fancy equipment. Doctor was thorough in his exam but was all chit chat. Not a huge selection of glasses but lots of designer names and higher quality frames. Associate that assisted me with the frames and insurance was friendly and helpful. I never felt pressured for any additional options or even my selection in frames. Said the frames would be ready in a week...only took 5 days. They only have late hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays so not the most convenient place. I would recommend if you are not in a rush to get glasses.

    I went to them because they take my insurance. I had made an appointment in the other place and I went to Pearle Vision. They said they will sit me in and they did. The made me sit and the optometrist then saw me. They gave me my script and gave me 3 pairs of contacts. My other contacts came in. They were very nice and very helpful. I had no problem. It was very nice. Everything was very clean and orderly. The staff members were very friendly. They didn't call me and let me know when my contacts were in. They rotate my insurance and work with me while others won't do that. They make sure that I have the lowest amount that I could possibly have. They were very good with that. They worked with me and with my insurance. As a matter of fact I have to make an appointment with them.

    They are very good and very professional. It is really a pleasure going to them. I am going to have surgery on my left eye done on April 30th. They are very caring and courteous. It is a huge practice. I did not meet one person that was less than wonderful; right from the reception desk all the way to the people who schedule us for surgery, the doctors, doctors' assistants, and people that examine us along the way and do testing.
