I highly recommend Mr Electric of central Md. I called to have 2 ceiling fans hung and was told they also do free safety inspections. I live in a home built in the 1930’s so I decided to have the safety inspection done. It was a pleasant experience at every point, from scheduling the service to receiving the wonderful thank you note after the service was completed. The electrician was thorough, polite, and neat. The price was reasonable and I would definitely use this company again.

Rarely do you find a Contractor that meets and exceeds your exceptions, however RAF is such a Contractor. Rob, the owner, was responsive, fair and overall just great to work with. We had received several other estimates for the repair work. Rob's price was great and he thoroughly understands the insurance process. Rob, even went out his way to personally work with the insurance company and take some of the pressure off of us. We are happy we chose RAF. Our new roof was installed in a timely manner and looks great. The damage in the house consisted of replacing several ceilings, plenty of drywall work, duct work and painting. His right hand guys, Nick and Joey really knew their stuff and the several rooms they repaired are better than they were originally. They took extra care to cover and protect everything and sometimes you didn't even know they were there. They did such a fantastic job, we plan on hiring Rob and the crew again in the near future for some other remodeling of the interior of our house. I will highly recommend RAF to friends or any others that need high quality work done in a professional manner and at a fair price.

I was rather unhappy with the Big Deal.  The company offered to do dry wall repair in 3 hours.  When they got here they filled the holes and put the "mud" on, but said that the mud would need to dry for 24 hours before it could be completed.  They asked, was there any other job they could do.  I wasn't really prepared for that.  But I said the posts needed scraping, so they went out there.  They said if they were in the area, they would sand it down. They felt bad that I didn't get my monies worth.  They left their ladder, so I thought they would be back.  It's been over a month, so I guess they are not coming.  I will have to find someone else to finish the job.  I don't mind the painting, but I don't have the skill to sand the walls and prepare it for paint.
I think they should not have stated they could repair drywall in 3 hours if they knew it would take 24 hours for it to dry before the job could be completed.

We had a mixed experience with JPS. I wouldn't hire them again for a job of this size.
    The Good:
The scheduler was very pleasant to deal with, she tried to be helpful with recommendations. We were able to get appointments within a week or so of calling. If I had to leave a message, I got a call back the same day.
The electrician, Jeremiah, was easy to work with and had a good attitude despite the bad issues, plus he showed up on time or early and his quality of work was good.
The cost was great, they charged on time and materials.
They got the job done the way we wanted it.
    The Bad:
I requested a quote in advance, the scheduler explained the company works on time and material, so quotes aren't provided, but she did say the owner would be back to me with a rough estimate in advance. I never received one.
On the schedulers recommendation we scheduled for an electrician and apprentice due to the size of the job, plus a full day for both. The electrician showed up on time and got to work, he informed us that he thought the job was do-able in 1 day, but his apprentice would be late since he was backed up on another job (he was hours late). Then they both had to leave early for another job, they didn't finish on day 1.
They came back 1 week later, again with the promise of an electrician and apprentice. Apprentice was a total no show this time, pulled to another job. My husband helped pull wire in an attempt to get the job done in 2 days. To speed things up since the electrician cut a foot high whole the entire length of 2 walls in 1 of the rooms, this was not expected and caused significant increased patching work for us (probably 15 hours of labor on us to repair).
Day 3 (3 weeks later) (this was supposed to be a 1 day thing): Again we were promised 2 guys, this time in writing through email correspondence with JPS. Again, we only got 1 guy. Again this guy was scheduled for another job and tried to leave without finishing mine. I told him if he left again I would call another company, I was done rescheduling with JPS, he got approval to stay and finish.
Our request was to have all electrical replaced, from the outlets back to the panel. On all 3 visits the electrician attempted to shortcut this replacement in order to get through our job and onto his next job. We had to reinforce each time our request for all new wiring. It was clear he wasn't trying to short change us on $, since they only charge for time and materials, not a set up front job cost. However, it was still frustrating that we had to keep reinforcing our request.

Owner and project manager came to assess job, discussed paint difference- best for different locations, cleaning, aesthetics, etc.
Careful attention to detail and cleanliness. They were very careful with our just refinished wood floors, which was very appreciated.
On time, worked diligently, pleasant courteous and professional.

RAM was on site the same day I called, and immediately began excavating to find the broken pipe.  RAM personnel were on site late into the evening and early in the morning to get the pipe repaired.  Sam Alrub quickly prepared a cost estimate for insurance purposes, and kept me informed on progress and anticipated arrival of the various trades to solve the problem and restore my house.  All trades were well coordinated, and my house was restored to my complete satisfaction.

The design was great but the designer was difficult to work with.  The contractor and daily work crew were outstanding.  They did excellent work, cleaned up everyday before leaving, were courteous and pleasant and gave us a beautiful finished product.  I would not work with this designer again but would recommend the contractor to everyone.

Mr. Coale from Roland Park and an associte showed up when they said they would and completed the job in two and one half days. I love they way it looks and it was not an easy job because I like hi-gloss enamel and semi-gloss enamel paint which shows every blemish. The walls were prepped and now look beautiful. I was so happy with the job I had them remove wallpaper in my bathroom and paint that room. It looks beautiful. A few days later I called them back to paint and repair my foyer ceiling. I am very happy with the job and the look. The only problem with painting some rooms it makes you want to paint the entire interior of your home.
