It was very nice, the person who came investigated it. He was very helpful. He listened to me while I explained what happens when it rains. We went together to get the plastic. The rain was coming in from a ledge. We tested a couple different things together.

I cannot speak highly enough of this company.
They did amazing work and went above and beyond to make sure our work was done properly. They jack-hammered out the basement and stairwell, installed the drain, and sump pump, performed mold/mildew prevention and lining in the trench then filled in with drain and poured the floor in. The floor looks great! It is flat and dried properly without any flaking or cracking.
When the battery backup started giving me problems the day after they installed it (alarm stuck on for high water) they sent a guy out EARLY in the morning so I wasn't late to work and then when we got a bunch of rain and lost power while the battery backup was out for replacement that night they offered to rent us a generator to keep the pump running until the new part came in the next morning. I thought that was far more than could have been expected from them since it was not their fault the battery backup they installed was bad. The power came back before the generator was necessary but it was just such a great thing to offer.
Just a incredible group of people who did a great job and cleaned up after the work and were super respectful of our house and property. We have seen more rain and storms this past July than we have all year and our basement is dry as can be all thanks to their wonderful work. We plan to use them again for crawl space work we need done.

RAM was on site the same day I called, and immediately began excavating to find the broken pipe.  RAM personnel were on site late into the evening and early in the morning to get the pipe repaired.  Sam Alrub quickly prepared a cost estimate for insurance purposes, and kept me informed on progress and anticipated arrival of the various trades to solve the problem and restore my house.  All trades were well coordinated, and my house was restored to my complete satisfaction.

Overall, I am satisfied. They were very nice, courteous and did a good job. They had a subcontractor who gutted the basement and they did a good job. I understand that sometimes things get missed in terms of the overall cost and that was probably the only thing that was wrong.

Overall, the project went well from our standpoint.  The owner, Gary Howard, Sr., provided detailed explanations of every phase of the work.  The proposals were clear and complete.  All changes to the job scope were documented and agreed beforehand.  Several unexpected tasks were handled graciously and without additional charge.  For example, when removing the old brick patio, the concrete pad under the bricks was found to be as much as 24" thick is some places - an unpleasant surprise that required additional time and equipment to remove.  And the temperatures that week hovered around 100 degrees.  It was brutal!  But the workmen were good-natured and polite throughout.  Care was taken to minimize collateral damage to the lawn and shrubs.  Daily and final clean-up were good.  Mr. Howard on several occasions made suggestions that reduced our cost and at his expense.  He was at the job site almost every day.  Six months have passed since all the work was completed and we are very pleased with the finished product.  We will contract with Perry Hall again.  Based upon our experience, we can recommend Mr. Howard and his company.

The roof deck covering the garage leaked unnoticed for years and rotted out a main structural beam. The beam was really thick and ndash; 4 -2x10's and spanned about 12 feet across the garage. Joe Esposito gave me options on how the repair could be made. He suggested replacing the wooden beams with a steel beam which would never rot if the deck roof leaked again. He and his crew removed the rotted material and supported the garage temporarily. They cut a small opening in the side of the garage and slid the steel beam into place. The new beam is supported by new posts and steel brackets and ndash; I could hook an engine hoist to it and it wouldn't budge. They did an excellent job, patched the hole and cleaned up the mess.

We converted our house from oil heat to geothermal. The geothermal installation left the backyard a muddy mess with piles of dirt and large rocks. So it needed regrading and seeding. We also had a 35 year old, 1000 gallon in-ground oil tank buried right against the foundation of the house that needed to be removed along with a 10' x 4' concrete pad where the air conditioning units used to sit. The basement floor next to the tank would get water seeping in when it rained.
Joe Esposito had done a few other projects at our house which came out great so I knew the quality of his work. He came out to review the job and gave us an estimate. The job required pumping out the heating oil left in the tank, digging the tank out and hauling it away, bringing in additional top soil to grade the yard and seeding it. He warned us that a tank this old could be leaking but hopefully it would come out in one piece and wouldn't require any clean up from spilled oil. I was worried about how close the tank was to the house and the limited amount of space there was to get machines in to do the job.
Joe and his crew came when scheduled and worked until the job was finished. They took their time and were able to remove the tank in one piece without causing any damage to the house. They buried the concrete pad in the hole along with the geothermal drillings and rocks which saved us some money on fill dirt. They brought in top soil and graded out the back yard. They even mixed in top soil where a ground up tree stump used to be so grass would grow there. They were very thorough cleaning up and the yard looks great after the grass grew in. We haven't had a drop of water in the basement yet - even through hurricane Sandy!

Todd, the owner/operator, was a joy to work with. He was very professional and clearly wanted to do whatever he could to please me. He obviously is very good at what he does. He knew exactly what was needed to raise the septic cover and did a very nice job installing those components.
