Urology reviews in Germantown

Dr. Barry Aron may be a great urologist, but I won't find out.Today, Tuesday, I spoke with Susan from the office staff on the phone to make the follow-up appointment in case the stone doesn't pass and we need to figure out plan B. I requested an appointment within the next four days, as recommended by the ER doctor. Susan told me that Dr. Aron was booked on Thursday and out of the office on Friday, so could make an appointment for Monday. That would be a week, not within four days as in my instructions. I asked if someone else in the practice was available and I don't think she even answered this question. She checked with Dr. Aron's nurse to see if they could fit my husband in on Thursday. The nurse told her we shouldn't be calling so soon, that patients should call after two days rather than request an appointment in two days. So Susan informed *me* that I was calling too early, despite the fact that I was looking at a written copy of my instructions from the ER doctor. I tried to explain that if the stone doesn't pass and we wait until Monday, my husband could be in excruciating pain for a week. She replied that if he has pain, he has to go to the ER, not the urologist. I tried to explain that we understand that, but the point of the urologist is to figure out plan B if the stone doesn't pass and there's no reason to leave him in pain for three extra days while waiting to figure out plan B. She didn't seem to understand this, which is a little worrisome given that she works in a urologist's office. To make matters worse, she insisted on constantly interrupting me, as though nothing I said was of value. The whole exchange was unexpected and alarming for a doctor's office - I generally don't expect the staff to inform me when I'm allowed to call for an appointment nor do I expect them to be callous to the patient's situation. So as I said, Barry Aron may be wonderful, but his appointment staff, specifically Susan, is unacceptable.
We made a follow-up appointment on Thursday with Dr. Maruf in Bethesda instead - no problems with making that appointment, as one would expect.

My primary physician recommended that Dr. Immergut examine me as a follow up to a cyst on my kidney that had been present for many years. Dr. Immergut examined and consulted with me. He recommended an MRI to ensure that the cyst wqas very small and nothing to worry about. After the MRI he reviewed the results and confirmed that the cyst was not a problem.

They are very good at what they do.  Scheduling wasn't bad and the appointment was pretty punctual.  The staff is good.

I've been using him for four years. My experience with Dr. Radolinski has been outstanding. He's friendly. He will answer any questions.
