Home Warranty reviews in Germantown

Horribly - the company they used sent inexperienced staff to evaluate a problem, which was incorrectly diagnosed, causing my claim to be denied, MULTIPLE TIMES. An experienced plumber, that I had to call at my expense, correctly diagnosed the problem and it was a COVERED EVENT under my policy. Awful customer service, follow-up and they continue to deny coverage.

I've been with them since I got the house in September 2013. The home warranty came with the purchase of the house just in case I had any problems with any of the appliances or any issue. That's when I had a problem with the heating. That was the first time during the cold winter of I believe 2014 and again I had to use the home warranty again for the heating service in 2015, that's why I had one of those companies when I had an issue with the plumbing. They came out as a result of the home warranty. They also replaced my washing machine that's why Angie's List probably had me down for some other company for the washing machine. So every time I used them they provided the services without any issue so I would recommend them as a home warranty company. It's a pretty reliable service. I didn't have any issues when I had to have things repaired. They sen out people as soon as possible. They always addressed my issues. They called for feedback afterwards to see if I was satisfied with the service. I like the home warranty plan and I will sign up again this year.

I requested two service calls (one for a refrigerator and another for a leaky faucet).
Although I advised Choice Home Warranty that the problem with the refrigerator (not cooling appropriately) preceded the service agreement, they scheduled a vendor visit.  When the vendor arrived (late) he advised he was unable to make the repairs because he came to assess the problem, and  he would have to call Choice Home Warranty to check if they would pay for the repair.  I asked him to check the same evening to avoid having to set aside additional time, and he was told that since it was a pre-existing condition, they would not cover the repair.  Choice Home Warranty had scheduled a service call, although they had been told prior to the scheduling by me that the refrigerator had had the same problem before.
In both cases the vendors arrived late and advised they did not come prepared for repair, that they had come to "assess" the problem and return on another day (to be scheduled), however, they wanted me to pay a service fee the day of the assessment.
I refused to pay the assessment fee and decided to cancel, after the second vendor said he would call me the next day advising of his arrival, and never called or came by. He also advised that all repairs require an assessment visit as part of the contract, this information was not provided by Choice Home Warranty prior to the service call.

our one and only call to them resulting in it taking over two weeks to get the condenser blower on our air conditioner / heat pump replaced, which should have been an overnight operation.  we understand that the contractor was ultimately at fault, but attempts to get improved service or a different contractor by calling CHW was not successful.  Basically, when we called their service line, I received fairly derisive responses indicating that expecting an air conditioner to get fixed in less than two weeks was just not reasonable.

Our furnace died in the middle of winter (when else?), but we were lucky that we had a home warranty with CAP. The service was totally covered with no deductible. When we couldn't find a company to come out the same day from the initial list of companies they gave us, they were more than willing to find someone else for us. We ended up getting our furnace fixed the same day and within hours. The technician who came by said he only home warranty-related work with CAP because of how good they are with the other end of things - I believe him!

Awful. I've written a couple of reviews on Angie's List so not going to repeat it. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

horrible. I ended up needing a new water heater - $1,200 - and AHS refused to reimburse me for what they should have covered.
