    Years ago, I had some alterations done at this shop.  It's listed as a florist, but it's also a dry cleaner and tailor.  Wen I needed to get a pair of pants hemmed, I went back.

    I dropped off a pair of running pants to be hemmed on April 1, only I was the April Fool.  I paid upfront and was told they'd be ready in a week.  I notified the lady that I would be out of town at that time and wouldn't be back for at least two weeks.  I arrived on April 20 to find the store open, but empty.  As I rang the bell for the 5th time and called out, I noticed a pile of clothes on a chair about a foot away from me, near the door.  On the very top of the pile was my running pants, unhemmed.  I could not believe my eyes.  They were in front of the counter, accessible to anyone who could have walked out with them. 

    At this point, a man who was hanging around out front when I entered the store came in and asked if I needed help. He acted as if he didn't know I was there, but I'm fairly certain that he saw me enter as I walked right past him to open the store door.  When I asked about the pants, he was speechless and proceeded to tell me that it wasn't his fault.

    I asked for my money back and he gave it to me.  I walked out with the pants before I realized that he never checked the tag to ensure I was taking my own item.  I could have walked out with anything.

    Items are not secure and this establishment cannot be trusted to keep track of items, nor perform services as promised.

    On May 7. 2013, I placed an online order for flowers for my granddaughter to be delivered on May 10.  The order was confirmed and my credit card charged.  The delivery day passed and no flowers were delivered.  On the evening of May 9th, the night before scheduled delivery, I received an email from United Florist Network stating that my order had been canceled and a refund issued.  No explanation was given and no apology offered.  The florist did not answer telephone calls and an email was returned as undeliverable.  No refund was issued.  An email to the United Florist address asking why it was canceled was not answered.  Late in the day on May 11, after my son-in-law posted a negative comment on Yelp,  the flowers were delivered - once again, no explanation, no apology

    On May 7, 2013, I placed an online order with a UFN florist, Jireh's
    Flowers, in Germantown, MD.  The flowers were to be delivered on May
    10.  The order was confirmed and my credit card charged. The delivery
    day passed with no flowers; the shop did not  answer telephone calls. An
    email from United Florist Network was sent on the evening of May 9, to
    say that the order had been canceled and a refund issued - there was no
    explanation, no apology, no information other than that the order was
    canceled.  Email to the florist was returned as undeliverable; email to
    United Florist Network was not answered. No refund was issued
    Then late in the day on May 11, the flowers ordered for May 10 were delivered - once again, no explanation, no apology..

    Gene's Florist
    Our daughter ordered flowers for her Mother's birthday and when she called Gene's at 6:00 p.m. she was told that they deliver until 6:30 p.m.  We waited until 7:00 p.m. and still no flowers.  The person on the phone from Gene's proceeded to give her a bunch of excuses as to why the flowers weren't delivered in a timely manner.  The flowers then arrived at 7:30 p.m. after numerous phone calls and much hassling.  We asked the driver why he didn't leave a message And he replied he didn't have a cell phone.  In our opinion the quality of the arrangement and the service were UNsatisfactory and we won't be dealing with Gene's again.

    The flowers are always nice and fresh and they last for ages.  It's amazing.  They are very prompt and very good.  I've dealt with them for years.  Before I retired, I worked for a public school system and we ordered all of our flowers for elementary school from Beall's.  I've had nothing, but good experiences with them for years and years and years.  I would definitely use them again.

    They did a fabulous job. Absolutely fabulous job. I ordered a spray for the casket that turned breathtaking. They worked with me to get exactly what I needed. The casket was teal & with a bronze horizontal stripe. She offered to make sure the flowers matched the casket for me. It was just a beautiful arrangement. I only had a certain amount of time to get it done & they were willing to do whatever I needed, even on short notice. They took care of it with no problems at all. Everything was done on time exactly when it was needed. They just did an incredible job.
