    Rm Construction Inc
RM Construction Inc. is an irresponsible company. First, it took over a week for them to schedule a date to come and do the work. When the agreed upon date arrived they never came. I contacted several times to inquire about an arrival time and they kept telling me that they would arrive that day to do the work. I called and told them that I had taken a day off work for them to come and do the work. They did not seem interested that I lost a day of pay. They were not respectful of my time whatsoever. There are many other contractors on Angie's List, you are free to choose another contractor or take your chances with this company. Their rating is A based on averages, but if you look at the reviews you can see several B, C, D, and F reviews. If take a chance with them and loose work time their overall rating is of no good. I will never trust RM Construction Inc.

    Hassle Free Home Improvements, Inc
Our Hassle Free experience was outstanding in every way. We contracted with them after interviewing and soliciting bids from three remodeling companies as well as performing due diligence on Angie's List and two other on line referral services. Hassle Free has a showroom in Damascus and is an authorized representative for several different tile and cabinet manufacturers which enabled us to shop price, design and supplier right in the showroom. Owner Mickey Taff guided us through the decision making and materials selection process expertly and without a trace of high pressure or efforts at up-selling. We were completely comfortable with him and his crew of workers and subcontractors. The project began and ended on time and the various tradesmen and craftsmen who worked on our home were highly professional as well as personable and friendly. Steve Trutkoff was our project manager and is a consummate professional. No job is too big or too small for Steve and his positive, can-do attitude is refreshing and contagious. I can highly recommend this outstanding local company.

    Leal Remodeling-Painting & Handyman Services
The entire process from initial contact to completion was outstanding. Mr. Leal is a true professional. He responded within hours of my inquiry and made himself available right away to take a look at the problem and schedule the repair around my schedule. He confirmed our appointment the day before and showed up on time. He is incredibly meticulous, conscientious, and approached the job with incredible attention to detail. The price was fair and reasonable. He thoroughly cleaned up before leaving. I can't imagine ever finding someone that would do the job as well as Mr. Leal did. He is clearly every experienced and takes extreme pride in his work. We'll absolutely be hiring him again!

    JCabido Remodeling
We had a project manager to work with plus a two man crew who were here most every day. Electrical work, flooring installation and carpet installation were performed by separate crews who specialized in these areas. All of the work done has been amazing. Everyone who worked on the house was professional and an expert at their job. Requests/problems were handled as quickly as possible. They will be working on renovating our kitchen in January and then will do our basement area in the spring. My husband and I are so happy with all the work done. My one reminder to anyone embarking on major renovations to their house is to remember that it is disruptive noisy and dusty for days on end. For about two weeks I did have to live mostly in our kitchen during the day. Also remember that sometimes changes have to made so roll with the punches. If I could give them an A+++++++ I would. I will take some pictures and post them later.

    Willis Builders Inc
We already had the plans drawn up by then. The project started in July, 2017, and was completed in May, 2017. Our favorite thing about Matthew was that he was very quick to respond to any question/concern we had. He was always easy to reach. We also enjoyed his positive outlook and upbeat attitude when it came to problem solving. His workers, Marcelo the carpenter and Giovanny our project manager who can do almost anything, did an excellent job. When we hit a glitch, with the plumber, for instance, Matthew was very efficient in fixing it. Overall, we would wholeheartedly recommend Matthew Willis and his crew.

    International Painting LLC
The entire experience was flawless from getting the estimate to completing the work. The estimate was within 15% of the least expensive, but we knew the quality of the work to be fabulous from earlier experience with this team. They started work within a few days of signing the contract. The work was completed on time, the crew was very respectful of our property and cleaned up each day. Not only did they repair the ceiling, they took care of settling cracks, nail pops, holes from picture hangers; primed; and applied two coats of paint on the walls and ceiling. They reviewed progress at the end of each day and told us what to expect the next day. The team were true professionals and their work is meticulous.

    Zamora's Painting
Hire Sergio IMMEDIATELY. He is the best. When we walked through the home (after 6 months of renovation), it looked like Swiss Cheese. There was damage and holes everywhere. He took it all in stride and carefully walked through and explained the process. He provided an estimate within 24 hours. We refined the scope of work and he went to town. Apart from their quality - which is evident, what impresses me most was Sergio's positive attitude. My schedule was constantly changing and had I had tight deadlines, with almost no notice. And Sergio didn't miss a beat! His crew is professional and hard working. They're clean and friendly. And Sergio comes to check on them on a regular basis - holding his guys to a high standard (and his son, Armando is awesome too). Not only would I recommend using Zamora's painting in a heartbeat... I WILL be using them again myself for other renovation projects. I'm lucky that I found him and hope you make the same decision.

    Maxc Impressions LLC
The job was big and the timeline contracted was met, although it got a little rushed on the last day.  There were a few minor flaws and the contractor arranged very quickly to remedy everything to our satisfaction within a reasonable time.  All in all, our experience was great and the work performed was outstanding.  One thing I learned, as a homeowner, that if you want to contract for many "things" be sure to make a detailed list and be prepared for the contractor when they come to do the estimate.  We neglected to say that we wanted accent walls in many rooms and that detail actually required more labor, which adjusted our overall cost.  This was easily adjusted and accommodated.

    Hassle Free Home Improvements, Inc

First let me say that we were very satisfied with Hassle Free Home Improvement.  The job they did was indeed hassle free, from the perspective of the work they did.  Let me briefly describe this project.  We needed to replace all of the copper water supply piping in the entire house.  We also needed to replace the master bathroom tub with a walk in shower.  The house is a three level private residence.  The planned work was expected to extend through 10 rooms of the house as well as some exterior work.  Because of the extent of the work, we were expecting to use 4 different contractors.  For the purpose of this report, we were looking for a general contractor to perform the tile, plasterboard and painting work, as well as overseeing the plumbing work.

We were dealing directly with the shower/counter installers and the shower door installers.  Due to the extent of the work, we interviewed about 6 contractors.  Hassle Free Home Improvement had one of the best proposals, and their demeanor instilled confidence.  Mickey Taff, the owner of the company, was very patient throughout the interview process.  Mickey's proposal was in line with others we had received.  Mickey has a very talented detail oriented group of workers.  They did everything that we asked them to do.  The only deviation from the price agreed on at the beginning of the project was a $300.00 increase due to a change of scope we asked for.  Even that was a very reasonable price for the work they did.

During the course of the work, there were 2 major issues that arose, that were in no way due to Mickey's work.  First, the floor in the master bathroom was out of level by 3/4", which caused a lot of effort to get the floor level for the 2 foot long tiles we were having them install.  The 2nd problem was due to a measurement/fabrication error by the shower provider.  This caused Mickey to rip down the Durock he had already installed, install shims on top of the existing studs and reinstall the Durock.  This caused at least one day of delay.  Not once did Mickey approach me to try to adjust the price of the project.

Like I said at the beginning of this article, the work that they did was truly hassle free.

    Handyman At Your Command
They were very professional. We're having them back to replace a double oven. They're very particular about their work. If they don't like something, they'll redo it. They also try to send the same people for each customer. They're very efficient and try to maximize their time on the job. They also only charge for the supplies that they buy and their labor.
