Concrete Driveways reviews in Gaithersburg

Anthony's Construction Concrete & Masonry Inc
We hired Victor for concrete patio, car port and paver patio. The overall project was $36,000. Even though we had signed a contract with specific concrete density and strength with steel reinforcement. We ignored each item and did a substandard work. The last phase of project, he took the money and vanished. We are still chasing him for 6 months and no where to be found.

    Diversified Contractors LLC
Since the work was so perfect, we asked them to re-do the entire driveway which now has a brand new look. From designing and picking flagstones to completing the patio and driveway projects and planting flowers and trees, Mike (Owner) is very attentive and friendly. The work is very professional.

Langhorne Concrete & Home Improvements Inc
Although Langhorne doesn't work in my particular location, I was able to speak with them about a repair issue for my concrete driveway. Even though they are unable to do the work, due to geographical reasons, they still took the time to speak with about my problem, provide advice, and explain how their company handles these types of issues. We talked on the phone and they even followed up with me via email. Unbelievable!!! This level of customer support, especially for someone they are unable to provide service, is outstanding. If I could, I'd hire them in a second!!!

    Triple A Paving
We were not happy after the driveway was originally seal coated.  An oil-based product was used as opposed to a coal-based product (was not informed beforehand) this left the driveway shiny and all of the imperfections stuck out like a sore thumb, and NONE of the cracks were sealed at all.  I called and complained about the work.  The owner came out, looked at the work that had been done and agreed.  Finally this week the entire job was redone - all of the cracks were properly sealed and the entire driveway was re-sealed with the coal-based sealer.  The owner even offered to refund the money I paid for the inconvenience and the long timeline, which I refused.  I just wanted the job done properly, and now it is fine.  I would use this company again since he kept his word!

    R Georges Paving LLC
The repaving went very well.  I found R. George's to be very professional and did an excellent job on our driveway.  The work was done exactly as described and we were given a very good description of how to maintain the driveway.  I wouldn't hesitate recommending R George's to any of my friends and family.

Jim's paving is Testa Paving.  Did my driveway;  The work is so bad the driveway started eroding immediately.  Does not return calls, does not show up when he is suppose to, can be aggressive when he doesn't agree with others opinions did not fulfill terms of contract (not done according to spec, not enough material).  Complaints filed with county and state.

    Deco Systems Of Maryland
Not good. It was difficult to get in touch with Deco Systems because their office hours are only 10am - 3pm. We called and left a couple messages before our call was returned. The owner/estimator was out of town when we first called, and then his office assistant was out of town. It took almost 2 weeks to make arrangements for him to come--we only persevered because of the company's favorable rating on Angie's list. We should have given up!
Once the estimate was given, communication was still complicated--the office assistant would email us using our home email despite us providing work phone numbers. We would see the emails after work and by then the office was closed! Finally everything was arranged, contracts signed, colors picked and a starting date planned.
The crew showed up as scheduled and began the work while we were at work. Cleaning and repair was first--it was fine.I came home the second day to a driveway finished with a bright white--not the color we had chosen. I asked the supervisor (the owner's wife) who informed me that her husband had shown us colors that weren't available and that this was what they used now. This was not acceptable to us. I let her know that and she offered to put a "wash" on top that would make it look more natural. She showed us a sample of what it would look like on a corner of the driveway and we agreed to have them do it. Once the wash was complete it was still not what we wanted but it was better. The stamped "brick work" was then applied and that was exactly what we wanted. On the last day the supervisor came without her crew to apply the sealer coat. It began raining shortly after she left and the "bricks" became spotted. The spots did not go away when it dried. We knew that the owner and his wife were going out of town for two weeks so did not contact them about this problem until they returned.
In the two weeks that passed while we were waiting for them to return, black splotches began appearing on the driveway and we noticed many irregularities on the finish. We also noticed that the edge of the porch looked bad where the painting of the "bricks" ended. We took pictures of the things that concerned us and sent an email requesting that something be done. After another week the supervisor and one person from the crew came out and we discussed repairs. They agreed to even out the edge of the porch with more paint and they also reapplied the sealer to the "bricks." We are satisfied with that fix. However, the rest of the driveway is still covered in black splotches and irregularities. The supervisor reminded us that she had not promised an even finish and that it was supposed to be a "natural" finish, which is not going to be perfect.  She did offer to apply another coat of sealer. We did not want that because the driveway is now stained with acorns and leaves from a neighboring tree and they were unable to remove that from the finish. If they had reapplied the sealer those stains would be permanent.

    Five Star Concrete Construction Inc
The driveway was $20,000. When we paid the worker there was some work that still needed to be done so the next time we decide to work with him we are going to hold back some of the money. He promised to come back and he never showed up.

    Triple A Paving & Sealcoating
They did everything that they said they were going to do, including a few extras to make it very nice.  They made it very straight, and put a little hump to help guide the water.  They also put on a curb and an apron.  The dirveway is more than 100 feet long. He had a great memory of what he quoted and there were no hassles.  They did an extraordinary job.

    Jefferson Concrete Technologies Inc
Since I needed access to my house while all the concrete was being laid Jefferson Concrete made every effort to do the job so I could still enter the house through our garage. I now am happy to say that the widened driveway allows for easier access to my husband's car from my wheelchair, the ramp is great to get outside in my motorized wheelchair and as soon as it gets warmer I will enjoy being able to go onto my patio and screen porch.
